I am working on an Infopath form for a work ticket. I am trying to write some code to generate the ticket number when a button is pushed. I have the code to acctually create the number, but I'm not sure how to place the ticket number into the textbox on the form. The code I found on the web seems to generate a security exception.

I have one textbox, one button and 11 listviews. Each listviews contains a unique list of items. I need to search every listview for text in textbox when button is pushed. Currently have 11 separate searches 'copies' each using a listview by name one after the other. How can I have it to loop through every listview automatically when button is pushed?

Im trying to increase the size of an array by 1 each time a button is pushed and have the new value read into the array. I use a variable nIndexItems which is increase by 1 each time the button is pressed. I need preserve the existing data so I have done the following: ReDim Preserve arHours(nIndexItems) This increases the array but doesnt preserve the data. I found the following so I tried it but its not working wither: ReDim Preserve arHours(UBound(arHours) + 1) how to keep this data?

i've created a hangman game (Fully working) but since you can only "play" with one phrase (10 letters) it gets boring fast. Basic the current game works by on form load i define the slots (10 string which each hold a letter) and give them there letter. then the user type in a text box and if the textbox = any of the slots then the lbl repasenting that slots changes its text from "_" to the letter.
Anyway what I would like the button to do is when the user presses the start button a random number is generated. The program then looks into a textfile and based on which number is generated it takes a certain line (10 characters per line in a phrase) , moves them into the slots and the game starts. Is that possible to code or it too complicated. The textfile will be in the applications folder (words.txt).

I'm running into some issues, I thought it would be simple but is quickly becoming confusing. I've create a new VS 2008 Window Form Project using VB. I added an oleDbDataAdapter to the first and only form, set it to a table in my Access 2007 Database (there is only one table, PK field autonum of course and two Memo fields). The Database is in the Project's folder. A standard oleDb Connection object was created, as I expected, then I select the DataAdapter and choose 'Generate Dataset' which produces a standard DataSet called 'DataSet1.xsd'. Now when I build the project I get an error 'Error 1 Type 'FontTest.DataSet1' is not defined.' I do have a reference in my new Project to System.Data.So what the @#%$@ is going on? Why isn't the Dataset create by the DataAdapter being recongized? I can get into the DataSet Designer. The DataTable create is perfect, three columns defined correctly as I expected.

I once posted a question on generating a policy number by table ID and user selctions from comboboxes. [URL]FYI . I am doing my project in vb, that why i posted it here. I managed to do that when i choose a region and product from two different comboboxes i generate a number but now my problem is that whenever i click on the comboboxes a policy number is generated before i save the record, so if my previous nummber was 72100002 whenever i click on the product combobox i generate a number e.g if i click on it five times by the time i save the number would be 72100007. I am using a stored procedure for this. Is there another way of doing this or i might end up with my first record as 72100001 and my second record 72100006.
