I would like to ask a question with DataGridView event handling.The event I am going to handle is the double-clicking of a cell in a DataGridView:If the DataGridView's are statically drawn on the form at design time, then it is easy to assign to each of them an even handler by double clicking the corresponding event in the properties panel.
I have to create controls for inputting info to create people objects in the program, because I don't know how many people they are going to input, I have a button that they can press to add more fields.
I need to add a doubleclick event for these dynamic controls (text boxes), how can I create an event for them if they haven't been created yet. Also, as far as I know you cant make a variable part of an object name while declaring it. I need to do something like

I am passing some values from a Gridview Update Click event to a popup ASP.net page that dynamically builds a series of textboxes in a Placeholder based on the number of sentences that are found in a specific cell of the Grid Row selected.The boxes that are built represent each sentence found in the cell of the selected row. Each sentence is presented for translation, where user enters data into a 2nd dynamically generated textbox.This all works great.Now I have a Listbox beside the 2nd textbox, which sometimes has 1 or more variables that need to placed into the translated sentence. I have set up a Hover menu over the listbox so that I can select the variable and insert it at the end of the sentence in the 2nd textbox. My problem is generating the click event on the dynamically created Listbox. Something like....

What I am trying to do is dynamically create a bunch of dropdown lists and then I want to loop through them and update the database with those values, but the problem I am facing is that I create the dropdown lists, but then when I go back to loop through them they are no longer in the panel. I don't know why but when I am debugging I have a count of 50 controls in pnlTeacherSelect right up until I press the button that calls prcChoose.

Is it is possible to perform validation on the dropdowns lists to ensure that a value has been selected? If any of the dropdownlists that still have the default value (the "please make a selection" text) the page is then redisplayed with the font colour of the question or dropdownlist box changed to say red?
I'm from the Webforms world and have made the switch over to MVC (which I really like!) and I know there are some pretty slick validation tools out there but you seem to have to account for them within the view itself.
I cannot pass a HTML helper through the viewdata of the controller as it does not render unless it has been coded directly into the view itself.
Also, I'm looking for a pure asp.net solution as I cannot use javascript due to accessiblity concerns. I can access all the values of the dropdowns without any problems throug the formscollection object but from there I'm a bit stuck.

I have a WPF application that allows users to create questions of all different types which depending on the type will use a textbox,combobox,checkboxes, or radio buttons to allow the user to answer the question after they build some sort of questionnaire. My question is what is the best way to keep track of the answers across all the different controls after the controls are created and the questionnaire is created on the fly. Right now, i'm looping through all the containers and getting the values based on the controlType.
I have VB 2008 Express and I am also new to VB. My problem is I cannot find any assistance with creating an Event that is attached to a Control that I inserted on a dynamically creeated TabPage. I call the "create_tab" sub (below) that creates a New TabPage and add some Controls (Button, two textboxes). I'm developing a chat system. In this I'm creating dynamic tab panels in a tab container when I change the selected index of the list box of users. In these tab panels I'm creating 2 text boxes and 1 button dynamically and adding a handler for the button click event. In connection with a windows form's text control the keypress event handler provides a key's identity through the KeyChar property of the event argument. This works fine for all alphanumeric keys and Ctl-a ... Ctl-z, Backspace etc. but does nothing for such keys as Insert, Delete, Home, End, and the navigation keys. I have a website where the user requires to add and remove Headlines from the main page. The headlines are stored in a database with a column titled 'Display' (true or false) which decides if the headlines appear. I want the user to have the ability to add or remove headlines from the main page, so have created another page which creates a table of all headlines along with a drop down list containing 'Enable' and 'disable'. I want these drop down lists to work by when the user changes the value in the drop down list the database will be updated. Only I cant find how to give the drop down lists an on change event.
I've created some dynamic controls on page load and added an event handler to handle the click event of a dynamic link button. Within the sub of the click event handler, I need to reference some other (non-dynamic) controls on the page and change their value. However, I get a null reference exception - object not set to an instance of an object - each time I try to reference a control on the page (in this case label1). I can usually find the answers to most of my questions via the Google Gods, but not this time.I have a form that has a TabPageControl and on that page a collection of labels and text boxes via a usercontrol.
On the form I have a button that allows the user to create a new tabpage, when the code adds a new page, it automatically adds the UserControl collection. I can't get my head around how to access the objects on the newly created tabpage.
What I need to be able todo is take the index of the tabpage that has focus and translate that against the UerContol name, but I havn't a clue how to do it!

How can you add a click event to dynamically created menu item?I thought I could do something like
