I am buidling an application that users can use to submit text data and attachments to email recipients. Certain fields, quite a few in fact from the textboxes in the app will be in the email body, and some in the subject line.This is how I am doing it right now, but I figured there has to be a better way. In VB it is one single line of code, not many like it is here. Ideally I would like to be able to better control the positioning in the message body.
mail.Body = String.Concat(Label1.Text, " ", TextBox1.Text, " ", Label2.Text, " ", TextBox3.Text, " ", Label5.Text, " ", DateTimePicker1.Text, " ", Label3.Text, " ", TextBox2.Text, " ", Label6.Text, " ", RichTextBox1.Text, " ", Label7, " ", RichTextBox2.Text)

I wanna make a program that will create a batch file and convert it to exe. Problem is that at the batch code there's a line that needs the program wget.exe in the same directory to work. Is it possible to bind wget.exe into the final exe (The bat converted to exe), and when it's ran to export wget.exe in the same directory?

We have a clickonce application that we have been running fine under Windows XP for several years now. Recently a number of machines have been upgraded to Windows 7. The program works perfectly normal under Windows 7 except in one regard and that is when utilising System.Mail. Currently our program will on request build an email and send it to our exchange server which relays the messages onto their intended recipients. The Windows 7 users are finding that their emails are not getting through and one of the messages received is a 5.7.1 unable to relay. Nothing has changed to the credentials, exchange or software itself. Only the operating platform that it is running under. I have a suspicion the error is being caused by some sort of security restriction that only Windows 7 introduces.
View 2 RepliesI want to make a program that tells you if you can login to an email account or not by entering their username and password into Windows Live.
It would connect to the Hotmail server and see if the user/pass combination is correct. If it can log in, it would display a label that the account is valid, if not it would say that the account is not valid.
Ok here's the totally incorrect code for logging in. I kind of borrowed it from sending an email:
Dim MyMailMessage As New MailMessage
MyMailMessage.From = New MailAddress(TextBox1.Text)
MyMailMessage.To.Add(TextBox1.Text)

View 1 RepliesI am trying to have my application use our email servers to send out an email when a certain action is taken. What I want it to do is use the username and login that the user is logged into the domain as for their email username and login. How can I get access to the users domain login and password? For instance, if I log into the computer, I want the application to use my windows login and password as the email username and password, since they are the same. This way I don't have to ask for it. I tried importing System.DirectoryServices and it once I type in Imports System. it does not have directoryservices as an option.
