Finding Out The Value Of A Particular Column Of The Current Row Of A DataGridView?

We have a DataGridView with 3 columns: InvoicedOn, PaidOn and Amount
On the MouseDown event is this line of code which needs to be fixed:
MsgBox(DataGridViewPayments.Item("Amount", DataGridViewPayments.CurrentRow.Index), "")
We are trying to find out what the value in the Amount column of the curent row.
We also get this error message:
Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid.
how to fix the MsgBox so it will show the value?

I have a function that gets information off a webpage and adds it to a datagridview that has a few columns.
Is there a way to make sure the item im about to add is not within the datagridview recordset already?

I have a datagridview having 3 columns (qty,scraft factor,actuall qty). What I want is if the user encode 50 in qty and 2 in scraf factor, actuall qty will automatically computed based on qty multiply by 2. I was using keyup event. Now I am using endedit to get the current value of the current row and column, now the problem is if the amount to be encoded is more than one digit it will not accept because of endedit. What event do I have to used? or any solution with this scenario.

I've tried to use the DMAX Function in my VB windows application to find the highest value in a column in one of my tables, however it doesn't seem to work. After doing some research, I think that the function is only relevant to VBA, although I could be wrong.

Using VB.NET i want find a specific string that occurs in column B of an Excelsheet and copy that entire row and paste it in a new worksheet. This string occurs a couple of times in this B column.I know how to open up an excel sheet in VB but I'm having difficulties searching for the string and then copying that entire row and do it multiple times (loop until the end of the column)

In WPF, I have a Uniform Grid and would like to be able to find the row and column based on the index of a child element.
I know there is a mathematical way of doing this and would rather not use a normal Grid.
If it helps, I can get the total number of rows and columns by using:

It seems that on clicking datagridview column header, the column will be automatically sorted based on the column type. I have a column showing some numbers. If column type is string, it sorts "1","20","3" into "1","20","3". If column type is double, it sorts into "1","3","20" which is the result that I want. However, there might be some erros in the numbers and error messages(text) will show in the cell instead of numbers. So I cannot set the column type as double. I want to ignore these error messages and sort all the numbers. How can I do this?
Also, I need to add some background colors to different rows in datagridview. So in the column header click event, I call the bkgColor Sub to achieve this. My question is that how can I override the sorting method in this event?

i have a datagridview with three columns. i set the first column to visible=false, so the user can only see two columns.when the user presses the tab key in the first visible column -- column(1), i want to ignore column(2) so that the user only tabs through the rows in column(1)i can't get it to work. it will always tabs through the rows in column(2) even if i use the column name.

I am having trouble understanding how ado.net works with proposed / current values of data. Can someone please explain the process of a new dataset with data in; a new row added and updated to the live database and then that row modified and updated back to the live database?

Am using the Entity Framework and Columns Completed and Taken are of bit Datatype. When the query results are displayed in the datagridview, these bit columns are returned as of ColumnType Textbox - so i get a Datagridview textbox column with true or false string values.
I want to display Completed and Taken as Checkbox columns (either ticked for True or un-ticked for false) but ofcourse i can't do this in EditColumn dialogue because the Datagridview is unbound.
how can i change this in code at runtime

I have an existing invoice module that displays its items in datagridview. The datagridview also contains DataGridViewComboBoxColumn. The problem with the datagridviewcomboboxcolumn is that it has too many records which results to performance problems. And the datagridview itself poses some performance problems dealing with the data.
An idea is playing in my mind to redesign the module, and i want to ask some of your suggestions on other alternatives for datagridview that can display and handle many records at the same time and can handle each row that has datagridviewcomboboxcolumn with also many records.To illustrate concretely, the datagridviewcomboboxcolumn contains the Product Items and the datagridview itself contains records and details such as quantity, rate, total amount of the product item selected.
