there a way to format a combo box so that the data returned from the database can have a heading. Example:ID Name 1 Franks2 JaneSo basically, programming in the heading information before the data is returned. The only data return from the database is ID numbers and Names, not the heading. Lastly, I did not to use a Rich Textbox because the user needs to make a selection in order to perform deletion

I've been working with an Infragistics Ultragrid and I'm looking for a helpful hint. I'm using a table from SQL Server 2008 to populate my grid. The table that I'm calling has a column that has been updated to be something like this. "Items" + char(9) + char(9) + "Cost" + char(13) + char(10). The "Items" section of the column is padded to be 50 charcters in length followed with the two tab characters, the cost then the new line characters. Ultimately this is what the results of a single row would look like. Notice how the items and the cost are lumped into a single cell.

I have a strange problem and it's probably a simple fix, but after much research, I cannot seem to find a solution.
I have a DataGridView on which I'm trying to center the column headings, but the result is a left bias in the centering—almost like an indenting problem. I've seen a few posts on this issue on a site or two, but never a solution.

I am using report.rdlc components in my application. I have one report where I have a tablix table embedded in a tablix list. The top of the list above the table contains all the group variables, eg customer name, customer address; the table contains the details, eg order details. I need to display the customer information again when there are too many order details to display on one page and I also need to display the order detail column headings again on the new page. So far I have played around with the Tablix properties and the Static row properties but no matter what I have tried I cannot get the headings to repeat.

I am getting an error when i try to populate some combo boxes with a value, the combo box has values in and the right amount the code is getting the right number.
the error msg is "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

While I understand there are properties of MailItem that would allow one to programmatically create a formatted email, I would prefer the ability to copy the body of an email that is already formatted to my liking (bolding, italicizing, embedded pictures/tables, set margins, etc.) copy and paste it to a newly composed email such that this formatting is preserved.

The reason is so the user will not have a blank return on a query. The first form I created like this worked great, no issues. This form only allows one combo box (Number_of_Lightheads) to disable any others. Below is the code I have for this Form. why the other combo boxes will not disable the ones that are called out in the code?

I've tried clicking on my_app --> New Reference --> Pick the DLL from my folder, then add Imports mydll.xxxx. Doesn't seem to work, keeps saying i need to fix the import xxx.xxxxx. I've checked in my References tab and see the reference name in there. I am looking at an example of how in the modules docs, and they have an vb app that uses it, and they use import xxx.xxxx when i try to do that, it doesn't work. Any ideas?
