I have a form with a webbrowser control on it, and I load up a local file in it with some code for a rotating banner (so I can support my app with advertising). The problem I'm having is, it is for example, a banner ad in the small banner sized control, when the user click's it, it loads the new page within the same control, which is way too small.I'd like for any click in the control to load up the link in IE itself, outside of my app. Putting target=_blank so far hasn't helped. Below is the code that I am loading up in my control.

<!--//

I made a quick search program so when I browse for a text file, it adds that text file to a listbox1. And then when you search result will be placed in listbox2 Now I'm wondering how to force the program to automaticly load last opened text file on startup.I tried with this and then I stuck.
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Dim reader As IO.StreamReader = _
New IO.StreamReader(winDir & "system.ini")

I have a problem with WebBrowser control and cookies.First of all what happens when one navigates in a normal Web browser (IE9 in my case): open page
I enter my username / password,
I leave the checkbox "Stay signed in" unchecked and click "Sign in",
IE9 opens my GMail page with all my mails listed. That is OK.
1.2. At the top of GMail page there are a lot of links like "Calendar", "Documents", etc.
When I click the "Documents" link, my documents page is opened in a separate tab in IE9. No additional login information as name / psw is asked. This is fine too. Now, what happens when I repeat all that in WebBrowser control (I have created a very simple VB.NET application with single WebBrowser control in it).
2.1. In form load event the following code is executed:
Private Sub MyForm_Load(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs)
Me.MyWebBrowser.Navigate("http://www.gmail.com")
End Sub
2.2. I enter my GMail login information (name and psw) in WebBrowser control,
2.3. When I click the "Documents" link, a new instance of IE9 is opened,
2.4. Instead of showing a list of my documents, Google asks me to login again in an IE9 window. Why? Why I have to enter my credentials again?I think there is something wrong with cookies and they are not set correctly in a step 2.2.

I have a WinForms application that I have taken over support for and it was build using Visual Studio 2005 with VB.Net. The application makes use of an Access database. It runs fine when it is installed as a standalone application, but the install cd for the application also allows for a network install and this is where I am currently encountering issues.
To test the network install I created a folder on my server (Windows Server 2003 SP2) and copied the Access database to this folder. I created a share for this folder and gave everyone full permissions to the share. Then on the workstation I installed the application and gave the path to the database as follows:
\myservermysharemydb.mdb
(The install steps here are as per the instructions given on the installation cd)The workstation that I installed it on is Windows 7 Ultimate. When I run the application, I get the error message given in the title when the application tries to read the database file. I have confirmed that I am able to write to the shared folder on the server, so I don't think this is a permissions issue. Also, the database file is not in use at all, so it is definitely not opened exclusively.
UPDATE:I have tested the workstation installation on a computer with a fresh install of Windows XP SP3 and it is able to access the database file without a problem. So it seems that this error that I am getting is somehow specific to Windows 7. Is there maybe a known issue with Oledb drivers on Windows 7? My version of Windows 7, btw is 32 bit.

I have my program (Student Pad - The Project - Haxaro Freeware) and it has gone fairly large. In my next release, i would like to know how many user approximatly are using it, so when ever a user opens my program for the first time on that computer, it sends me, or my website a report telling me that it was opened on a computer. so if 4,000 people download and open it, i should get 4,000 emails or reports

Several years ago, I created a nifty data entry form that is called from a main menu. Due to recent user requirements, I had to create another form that is very similar to the data entry form. To prevent duplicate coding and testing, I created a class to inherit the existing data entry form. The issue is when I leave the class and return to a sub menu, the class is opening the main menu and the sub menu. How do I only return to the sub menu without the main menu appearing? Here is a snippet of my code. You'll have to scroll down to the very bottom to see the section that is causing issues. BTW, I coded the application in such a way that only one form should be open at a time.
frmMenu (main menu). This is nothing more than a bunch of buttons that allows the user to perform various functions. If user clicks button #1, open the data entry form:
Dim objFrm As New frmDataEntry
bolOkToCloseForm = True
Me.Close() '--- close the menu screen

I am currently working on a program that has several buttons in it lined up. Each button goes to different applications (.exe programs). The program I am making is suppose to be a fullscreen program and won't let you see any of Windows when it's running.
Therefore I want to make a "back" button that always stays on top of any application and when I push it it will take me back to my WindowsForm (startpage of the program).I am also wondering if you can make it so all .exe programs only can run ONCE. So if I press one of the buttons saying "open notepad" I want it to work so it can't open Notepad once again making it two notepads open. Just go back to the first Notepad opened.

The fact is I'm making an application, which users can install by using a Setup file...once installed the data in the database can be updated by a centralized server. To do this, they can insert a DVD/CD-ROM and export the necessary data towards it. I need to do it that way, because some of the users who really need this data will be using stand alone computers. The application gets it's data from a mdb-file and the connection remains open as long a person works with the application (maybe not the best way to do, but I know :-) )...when the user uses the application, he can perform an export...this exports the .ini-file and pictures (which works fine), but he also needs to export the mdb behind the application...I already tried connection.close() before and connection.open() after the System.IO.File.Copy...but that doesn't seems to work.

I'm trying to make a web browser that will open up a link similar to this:
http://someweirdwebsite.com/LRHIT.asp?SNAM=x1namex&GNAM=x2namex&DT1=&DT2=&submit=Inquire&FMT=PDF&FLAGS=NJ%2C&INQ=LOL&PRD=1995+FORWARD
Here is a pic of the browser:
http://i31.tinypic.com/2my3qzq.jpg
My problem is this: As you can see from the image, Those two boxes will be where the user will enter in a first and last name, and that will be added into the address where x1namex and x2namex are. How can I make Visual Basic make the url and then immediately show it on the web browser (shown to the right of the two input boxes.)?

i have been searching around trying to figure out how to copy the same idea a few programs have done in the past. However I Can't remember every program that did this but a PC MMO Hunting game Called: The Hunter does this technique.Their entire system is MySQL on a server, and displayed through a website You pick your options on the website and then click "Start" and it opens the installed program from your computer up with the given parameters Quick Example In case i managed to confused you guys.
I have a Program that's just has a text box on it From a website on a server: you can Type in Your username and then click "Start" as an example of a button, which would open up my program explained above with the users name in the text box. i figure there is some type of word for this, but i can't seem to figure it out i looked into web services to see if its what i need, but i couldn't seem to figure out if it was or not.
