Application Is Intended To Crawl A URL Page And Extract All Possible Links From The Page?
Aug 27, 2009My application is intended to crawl a URL page and extract all possible links from the page.It works fine for a certain URL but with another it keeps causing problems. When the root page is accessed it correctly extracts the different directory links. but when it requests the directory links html page it pulls the main root URL again. someone mentioned about redirection but when debugging I see the url variable containing the directory link correctly.

2) Delete the links that do not contain "/article/"

Asp.net - Turn Sql Rows Into Links On A Page?
Apr 4, 2012I am trying to create a specific aspx page where I display clickable links based on information in a sql database. For example one column could be the anchor tag another column could be the path to the link itself etc. In the past I would pull this information from sql and put it into a non-visible Label (say linkLabel1). Then in the page itself I would insert <%linkLabel1.text%> to insert the link path from the database to the appropriate area.
What I would like to do is set up a way that I could simply enter a new row into a SQL table with link information and a web page automatically displays the new link for me.
I guess I am mostly looking for insight, opinions, or directions of what approach to consider. I can elaborate if I was unclear (wouldn't be awfully surprising if I was not).
Making Links Open In The Same Page?
Mar 11, 2011So, when someone makes a website, they decide if they want their link opened in a new tab,window, or in the same window. How do I make it by default that it opens in the same window, no matter what its set to on the website? I just don't like internet explorer taking over on those links.

Asp.net - Why The Links Are Not Working When Moving A Page Outside The Root Directory
Sep 5, 2010My website is in the root directory, which is [URL]. I am using this:

to get the path and it's working very well. But when I create a new sub-folder and copy some pages from the root directory into the sub-folder, my images are not displayed because the path has changed. This is the link from the page in the root directory:

VS 2008 Make Web Browser Open Links In A New Page Or Tab Instead Of IE?
Mar 8, 2011I can't figure out how to make my web browser open links in a new page or tab instead of IE. I've tired at least a dozen different sets of code. None of them can be manipulated to fit my browser. When my browser first starts, there's an empty tab control. I put a new webbrowser in it at runtime and set it's dock to fill. I create new instances of the browser for new tabs as well. I just can't find how to make it open links in new windows.

I need to store all the links into a collection, I did find the code to do the job (on this forum) and it works, but there is a problem: there are more links on the page than those the code reads, like when i right click on a picture and choose "copy shortcut" I get a link that is not showing when I display the "view source" for the entire page. Mar 7, 2011I am new to ASP.net 4.0 and am learning and writing a web site application in VS 2010 that will eventually become our company's intranet web site. As part of the start page, I want to display the user's name in a welcome message like: "Welcome: E Young". The user's login name should come from their Windows login when the log into their computer. Once logged into their computer, they will then start IE8 and access our company's intranet. The start page of our intranet site should display the user's windows login name.
The company's intranet is being hosted on a new, virtual file server that is running Windows 2008 R2.I installed IIS 7.5 and have attempted to configure it but I am new to IIS 7.5 also. The users will access the company's intranet via IE 8 using the url for our intranet site. I am developing the ASP.net web site using VS 2010 on my development computer then transferring the files from my computer to the new intranet computer's C:Inetpubwwwroot folder.
That all seems to be working fine except for the Welcome message. When I run the web site project from my VS 2010 IDE on my development computer, I can see my Windows login name correctly displayed on the web page. However, after I copy the two web site files from my development computer to our intranet server's wwwroot folder, then attempt to show the intranet web page from my development computer using IE 8, nothing is displayed. Put another way, my Windows user name displays correctly in VS 2010 IDE on my development computer but not from our intranet. The web.config file has authentication mode="Windows"
IE 8 does have windows authentication enabled on my development computer as does IIS 7.5 on our intranet server yet the web site is not able to pickup the user's windows login name and display it for some reason.
When I look at the Authentication window in IIS 7.5 it only shows the following three authentications: Forms, Anonymous, and ASP.Net Impersonation. I ran a command line program that turned on Windows Authentication, but it does not show Windows Authentication as enabled in the Authentication screen in IIS 7.5. The three authentications I just mentioned are disabled.

C# - Website Different Error Page For External And Internal Users
Jun 22, 2011Scenario: We have a website that is viewed both internally and externally. When an error occurs the users are displayed with a detailed error page(Stack trace etc). Problem: The external customers do not need that much information about the error. We are looking to have the external customers see a message instead. Ex. Please contact Administrator. Also if possible we would like to log this message in our SQL database.
Note: I'm assuming I make a custom error page like - Implementing a Custom Error page on an ASP.Net website. but how do I determine whether or not the user is internal/external? Also is this the best way to approach the problem?
Host Website / Page Is Getting Refreshed But Audio Is Not Getting Played
Aug 23, 2010I have created a web application in that application i have added two folder. one is admin folder and under admin i have added a upload folder. In upload folder i have three different audio's. And also i have imported DLL for Windows media player. Through this media player im able to play the audios in local host.By giving Direct path like MediaPlayer1.Filename="C:Usersamwaka.mp3".But when i host the website im getting problem the page is getting refreshed but the audio is not getting played.I have tried this path Server.Mappath("..uploadwaka.mp3") and Server. Mappath ("~adminup loadwaka.mp3)the above both paths are not working when i host the website please reply.
