C# - Website Different Error Page For External And Internal Users

Scenario: We have a website that is viewed both internally and externally. When an error occurs the users are displayed with a detailed error page(Stack trace etc). Problem: The external customers do not need that much information about the error. We are looking to have the external customers see a message instead. Ex. Please contact Administrator. Also if possible we would like to log this message in our SQL database.
Note: I'm assuming I make a custom error page like - Implementing a Custom Error page on an ASP.Net website. but how do I determine whether or not the user is internal/external? Also is this the best way to approach the problem?

Recently, I have a requirement to develop a vb.net application wherein the input excel sheet data which has an average of 5000 records should be checked for Internal duplicates (duplicates within the same sheet) and external duplicates (duplicates which exist outside this sheet). I have gone through lot of logics..some of which are ...
- Common and currently testing out..
- First insert the excel sheet data into DB..then query by following
select distinct id,mobilenumber from scrubmaster where calltablename=<calltablename given by the uploader>
Then loop for duplicates...

The above logic works but it takes very long time..I have tried other logics from web but they "Query timeout"...

I have an asp.net web app that uses forms-based authentication, a SqlMembershipProvider (using an encrypted password format), and a SqlRoleProvider. I need to know if it's possible to administer the users (create new users, assign them to roles, etc.) from a windows application - the powers that be don't want any administrative functionality in the web app itself.Here is the membership provider definition from web.config:

I'm using GetDriveType function to determine the drive type.the function works fine, but not with external HDD it returns 3 or "fixed" which confuses me!! is there any way to distinguish between internal (local) fixed HDD and external (USB) HDD?

Is there a simple way in vb.net to mask a public property or method from the internal namespace? It would be helpful as a refactoring tool to isolate internal dependencies and perhaps to enforce a non-recursion policy for external services.

This error first appear to occur randomly. Steps to recreate:Open Visual Studio and load a solution (some files automatically opened) - this is when the problem occurs Close all open files Restart visual studio and load solution (no issues)Open Exactly the same files again, restart visual studio and load solution so files open automatically (problem occurs!)
However, when trying to narrow it down to a single file (that is automatically opened when the solution is loaded), I couldn't reproduce the problem. Now with all the files open again the problem doesn't occur!!! So it looks like it is fixed - though this happened before and eventually the issue came back.
I think it is to do with one of the user controls with DevExpress controls on it - when the error occurs, the designer displays the error. Though I can't reproduce it at the moment to confirm that.

My current solution consists of several Class Libraries and a Website. I'm in the process of globalizing the application and I realized that my resources need to be accessed by all the projects not just the website so placing my resources in the App_GlobalResources folder didn't work. I added my resources to one my class Libraries and now I'm trying to figure out what the best way of accessing the resources are from my markup. When my resources were in the App_GlobalResources folder I was able to access them by using an expression such as this: <$ Resources: MyApp.Name %> for server controls
Or <%=Resources.MyApp.Name %> for plain text
What's the best way of accessing my Resources from my website aspx files now that they are in a Class Library DLL?

I'm trying to connect to a remote server (from our customer) via HttpWebRequest.GetResponse but at the login page i'm always getting an exception: "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error." In the response stream i see that i was redirected to the error-page. The code worked so far(HTTP status 200) with the old ASP-website but they'll migrate to ASP.NET soon. Im using httpWebRequest to get a response from a website.Ive created / creating a dvd manager for my dvds on disk. My method works fine if i double click a movie name. It will download the data into the correct directories. Im implementing a "process all titles" feature and im finding that around 15 titles im getting "internal Server error 500" or the program bombs out Could this error becoming from the poor internet speed (3G dongle) and the website rejecting my query because of slow downloading?Moved into a new house and ive no broadband in yet?

Im trying to make a program which would check for users from text file on a certain website I can populate the list box, and loop through it's items here is the code i came up with so far and it doesnt work properly, it pops out first item in the listbox, and last item only, even though that they shouldnt be popped out

I need to get the contents of a page (which is just an image) like http://11.11.11.11/code.aspx?product=33 but only ip:22.22.22.22 has access to that file. Therefore I need to be able to do it from my pics.aspx file on another server like http://22.22.22.22/pics.aspx?code=33 So far I have this script below, which can get the ?code=33. My program takes user input, replaces all spaces with "+", then inserts it into a search url for a specified web host. For example, the user enters:"How long is a foot?"
The generated URL (in this case I'm using dogpile.com) is:
"http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/web?&q=How+long+is+a+foot"
This method has worked before for me, but now I just get an Internal Server Error every time the code is executed.

I am new to .NET and I have created a login page, with a user Id and password. In my webconfig, I put the following code in to deny users who are not authenticated.
