Jun 20, 2012I'm trying to connect to a remote server (from our customer) via HttpWebRequest.GetResponse but at the login page i'm always getting an exception: "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error." In the response stream i see that i was redirected to the error-page. The code worked so far(HTTP status 200) with the old ASP-website but they'll migrate to ASP.NET soon. There's no error if i browse to the URL manually. This is the (reduced) code:

What can i do in order to come with a more friendly exception message?

Nov 12, 2011My program takes user input, replaces all spaces with "+", then inserts it into a search url for a specified web host. For example, the user enters:"How long is a foot?"
The generated URL (in this case I'm using dogpile.com) is:
"http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/web?&q=How+long+is+a+foot"
This method has worked before for me, but now I just get an Internal Server Error every time the code is executed.
Unspecified Error When Uploading Site To Server
Jul 9, 2009I developed a site it works well at localhost (IIS) but the problem is that when I upload it to the server it works for some time, for some entries & gives the error and after this error, it appears to all pages. The errors are
1. "Unspecified error"
2. Error in web.config (attaching the error image) though I fix it.
I do not understand why it appears / displaying the error using the MS Access as database.

Jan 10, 2012This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:

I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:
<input class="someclass" type="hidden" value="3" name="user_status" />
I just dont understand regex enough to cope with these situations.

Steps to recreate:Open Visual Studio and load a solution (some files automatically opened) - this is when the problem occurs Close all open files Restart visual studio and load solution (no issues)Open Exactly the same files again, restart visual studio and load solution so files open automatically (problem occurs!)
However, when trying to narrow it down to a single file (that is automatically opened when the solution is loaded), I couldn't reproduce the problem. Now with all the files open again the problem doesn't occur!!! So it looks like it is fixed - though this happened before and eventually the issue came back.
I think it is to do with one of the user controls with DevExpress controls on it - when the error occurs, the designer displays the error. Though I can't reproduce it at the moment to confirm that.

I'm looking to take this string, and scrape all of the prices in order to calculate this against my cost price (for a consistent profit spreadsheet). What is the most feasible way to do this? Would using a webbrowser control be a better idea?
