Aug 9, 2011I'm using Visual Studio Development Server (Visual Basic 2010) and it works fine. Now I've enabled NTLM Authorization because I want to test the website using a different user account. Now when I try to access the website I always get the following error page:
Server Error in '/' Application.
HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden.
Version Information: ASP.NET Development Server 10.0.0.0 .I'm using a test account which is a normal user within our domain. I've already set the access rights in my project folder to Full Access for this user but it does not help.

I was wondering how exactly I would implement this custom error page the server asks for to give me a precise and helpful message or preferably, how I would get the error to just display on the main page?This is the error message I got below

Today I realized upon testing I get the following error:The procedure entry point IstrcmpiI could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL.Upon some research I found that maybe I needed to install MDAC 2.8, which i downloaded and installed today, however i still get the same error. I had the error on my computer running Windows XP. I am use to that, so I went in the FrameWork .NET 2.0 and set the security to FullTrust and the error disapeared. Now I have the same error on my computer that is running Windows Vista and when I go do the same security changes to FullTrust, it does not work. I still have the error showing.Is there some other configuration to do on a Vista machine to be able to run a remote VB.NET application ?

CWWSS5509E: A security token whose type is [http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#UsernameToken] is required.Is it even picking up the credentials that I am trying to pass? Oct 6, 2009I have a windows service I created that checks for data to post to an off site webservice over SSL. The service checks every 10 seconds for data to send, if there is data it opens a connection to the remote webservice, and closes the connection after 120 seconds (still checking for data to send during this time). The service works fine if a user is RDP'd into the server, but as soon as no one is logged on and the service attempts to push data, I receive the following error:"The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send."I have tried running the service as a local service, network service, under my login, and under a service account, but nothing seems to work.
