Get Common Images For Buttons?
May 25, 2009I know it is not vb question but I was wondering if there is any place to get the common images for buttons (like save, clear, find, new , delete etc...)

Can Folder Of Images / Let User Navigate Back And Forth Through Images Using Couple Of Buttons
Jun 4, 2011The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It's looks to me as though the images are getting assigned to the same index in the array. [code]

Sep 4, 2011I want to use an image to some buttons . I know I can set the Image property and select an image file . My problem , however , has to do with the fact that the image in the file is always shown inside a gray contour . I mean the image itself (i.e. an exclamation mark) is shown correctly , but though around it there is nothing (not even a gray surface - just nothing) the image is displayed with gray color filing everything else . Back in VB6 I had no such problem ... I could simply select my image and it was shown correctly .

However, right now, i need to create 4 buttons to simulate the diagonal position of the image.Right now, the accelerometer can move the image in 4 directions (mainly left, right , Up, Down).The 4 buttons mention, is in diagonal position( 45 degree Leftup, 45 degree Leftdown, 45 degreeRightu, 45 degree RightUp, 45 degree RightDown).I need to do it the way in which when my image is moved using the accelerometer, and once when i hit any of the 4 buttons, the image move accordingly. Change Background Images Of Buttons In VB During Runtime?
Jun 4, 2011When I set the button background image in properties, it looks great. When the button is clicked, the image needs to change. I tried to use an image list like this: btnSample.BackgroundImage = ImlStimuli.Images.Item(0)and I tried loading them from a file. I can get them to read, but the image always turns out blurry or distorted. I've tried all variations of alignment, BackgroundImageLayout like stretch/zoom/centered, and I changed flat style, but nothing has worked. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing in properties?

They will do this over a background image so the buttons line up with images in the background.Without the background image, the buttons move smoothly and quickly. Mar 3, 2012I have a piece of software with two tabs, inside each tab there are buttons (the user can add the buttons when they want). when tab1 is full tab2 should start to fill. I currently know how many buttons fit on the screen so I just say something like if buttons > 150 then start to populate tab 2 The problem i have now though is if the resolution is changed then a different amount of buttons can be displayed. so if I put my screen to 1280x720 some buttons are left of. I was thinking of detecting the resolution and then using different cases for different resolutions but this seems very inefficient im wondering if there is a different way?

I wanna give the following instruction to the people: press these buttons in the following order: first buttonA, then buttonB, then buttonC and last buttonD. If they obey this instruction then a picture will be displayed, for instance a happy face. All the other combinations will not activate this picture to be displayed, or in other words, there won't be any consequence. I would also like to save this data using windows note pad e.g., writeline (1, xxxxxx). Is there any chance I will make it?

It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. Then the "screen" is drawn to show the user. so, here is just the images to build the wallpaper, dock, and status bar...

VS 2010 :: Make An Application To Save Images [or Download Images] To Local Hard Disk
Aug 12, 2010I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?

Apr 17, 2011In the old VB, there is a .bas file wherein i place all the global constants there and whenever i create a new project i just include that .bas file so that all the constants i placed are automatically added to my project. Is there any way to do this on VS2008? Ill be doing dozens of Class Libraries that that needs to reference global constants.
1. Is there any other way of referencing the global constants rather than making it a shared variable in a class?
2. Also, is there a way to include a .VB file without the copying it on the local project file? My point being is that this .VB file is also being used by other Class LIbraries that i created.
Common Event For Like Controls?
Aug 28, 2011Is it possible to set up a common event handler for a group of like controls like buttons or text boxes so a single event handler is called regardless of which of the controls is clicked, changed, etc.In my PrinterDialog study project I have 5 text boxes named TB1, TB2, TB3, TB4 and TB5 in a text box array called TBs so they can be accessed with TBs(0), TBs(1), etc.My question is if I can set up a single click event that responds when any of the 5 text boxes are clicked to avoid duplicate code n 5 different click events.

I have to arrive to this:

I have to group the first column (Code) and from the second (Year) I have to get the data 'less common as possible' compared to all the other records. I try to explain this with the example: for the code 'A01' I have 2 years: '2001' and '2002'. I have to take '2001' because it's the one that not recurs in the other records. In the case that there aren't available values 'Year' that not recurs in the other records, it's good to take whatever value.
The data are in the form of array in memory and to interact with them I'm useng some LINQ queries.
Getting Three Most Common Numbers From File?
Feb 16, 2010Essentially, whenever my users who are logged in via a global module level variable enter a new form, their activity is "logged" in a textfile with their UserID as the name.txt and every time they visit a page it adds a new line to their log file with a number corresponding to the form they visited. For example, if they select "add a user" it will add the line "1" to their log file. Note: At the moment there is only 1 2 and 3 not 0.
I have got this far and I have got as far as creating an array which has:
Array(0) = NumberOfTimes 0 appears in the log file
Array(1) = NumberOfTimes 1 appears in the log file
etc etc
Therefore the output for this is
Msgbox(Array(0)) shows "0"
MsgBox(Array(1)) shows "4" for example and lets just say
MsgBox(Array(2)) shows "9" and
MsgBox(Array(3)) shows "1"
Therefore, finally (!) my problem is now finding which 3 are the top. I have tried various methods of sorting them but I just get "9, 4, 1, 0" rather than "2, 1, 3, 0". (By the way the end product for this is to show three links on the "welcome form" of the users 3 most visited forms). Here is a pastebin of all the rubbish I have currently tried that hasn't worked!
