Get Location Of Mouse Cursor Within Picturebox On Click?
Dec 25, 2009
I need to know how to get the position of the mouse within a picturebox just as you would with e.location, but you can't use e.location with a picturebox and you also can't use Picturebox.Mouseposition which is very unfortunate.
The code bellow should perform a mouse click at the location the cursor is pointed, however it only activates the control from that location.
Imports System.IO Public Class Form1 Inherits System.Windows.Forms.Form Declare Auto Function sendclick Lib "user32.dll" Alias "SendInput"_ (ByVal nCommands As Long, ByVal iCommand As MOUSECOMMAND, _ ByVal cSize As Long) As Long [Code] .....
I want to create a simple autoclick program. What I want to to is a program that makes a click were the mouse cursor is at every 5 minutes (or at any defined period of time) for instance.
I created a game where you use the mouse to play, it's like the game labirynth. You can't touch the walls or you lose. When I start the level I want the cursor to appear in it's starting position, which is a red picturebox.
Here is the code I used: Windows.Forms.Cursor.Position = New Point(679, 650) The location where the cursor appears is actually dependent of the resolution of the screen.
For example: with my monitor resolution, the location (679, 650) is right on top of the picturebox i need it to appear on. but if you have a different resolution on your monitor it will appear on a different place. I need to actually make it appear on top of the picturebox.
Basically I found a code that could find the color under the mouse cursor and put it in a picturebox's backcolor. So I wrote the code Timer1.tick If picturebox1.backcolor = color.dimgray then call apimouseevent(1) But all this would do is spam click over any color. Any code that gets the color under the cursor then performs a click when the color under the cursor is for example 'dimgray'.
in my program were ever you click on a picturebox it draws a image, that works, but the picturebox it in a panel so that when the picturebox gets to big scroll bars appear, that works, but when i scroll down the picturebox and click it wont put a image exacly were i clicke, but if i did not scroll at all and click it works just fine.
Im in need of somehow a code that with a picturebox, depending on WHERE you click it will do something. Lets say theres a picture of a face. The eyes are at like x = 12, y = 28 , if the user clicks the picturebox around that area a msgbox will come up saying "Eye" or something, this is just an example

I would love some help on how to get a DataGridView's Row & Column location on a mouse double click. My program requires that I dynamically add n-number of tabpages with DGV's so I declare my own class that inherits TabPages and creates its own DGV control.
For the code below I use a simple form (form1), add a tabcontrol via the forms designer (tabcontrol1) to it and remove the two default tabpages keeping the basic tabcontrol.
I have two custom action listers. One that handles Mouse.Click and one that handles Mouse.MouseDown. My question to you is, can I delay the mouse down event so that it does not intefere with the code of the Mouse.Click event? I have tried adding a timer and waiting x amount then setting a bool value to true, but the code executes to fast and it skips the other code.
I have a panel, which contaisn two Pictures. When the panel is mousehover the Pictures appears. When the panel is mouseleave the Pictures disappears. However, when I'm trying to pass the mouse between the Picturebox and Panel, the Picturebox disappears, because the panel doesn't detect that as panel area.
Private Sub Panel_MouseHover(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Panel.MouseHover Me.NextIMG.Visible = True Me.PrevIMG.Visible = True End Sub
Private Sub Panel_MouseLeave(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Panel.MouseLeave Me.NextIMG.Visible = False Me.PrevIMG.Visible = False
i rmbed there was a way to do it but couldn't find the source for that info. is there a way to get the mouse cursor location without an eventargs object?
I am new to VB.NET, Now i'm working with Events in VB.NET, I have two event methods, Mouse Click and Mouse Down for a single button in a form, I have displyed a message in each of these methods but only mouse down event is triggered. Why Mouse Click is not triggered? Similiarly I Did the same for Mouse Enter and Mouse Move for a particular button, in this case both the events are triggered.
I was wondering if there is anyway I can get mouse coordinates when I click on a mouse button inside a listbox? I know how to do it in the form but when I click inside a listbox nothing happens.
Apologies as this has probably been answered a million different times a million different ways already. I'm trying to control the mouse. I wish to move the mouse to a given pixel position (x, y) and cause a click. I don't want this to be limited within a form, as I want to control another application. I'm using VB 2005.
How can I get the color of a pixel at the location of the cursor? I know how to get the mouses position using MousePosition but I can not figure out how to get the pixel color at that location.
I have 9 Text boxex and one command button and I'm looking for a code such that IF i set my cursor on a specific textbox using the mouse then I can be able to Input text in the textbox using the command button.
Im using Visual Basic 2008 Express..Is there a way to disable mouse click for a while in Visual Basic 2008, I mean if mouse was clicked more than 1 time in very short time to click only once? -- I need it because my mouse became like crazy one.. when I click once it may clicks twice or more.so until I buy another one, I'd like to filter click, to allow only one click and to block another clicks that were made in last second.
I am trying to simulate a mouse click on a webBrowser at certain coords in the webBrowser WITHOUT using the persons mouse in any shape or form becuase I want to be able to run the program, minimize it and do other things whilst the program clicks in certain coords in a webBrowser.
I am building a GUI for a touchscreen panel using VB2008 and am trying to set up a password change screen. I have an on-screen keypad set up so the operator can use it to enter the new/old password. How do I return the value from the key pressed to where the cursor is located?
I'm going to write a program that can get text from anywhere in windows xp by using mouse pointer. in other words, when you point your mouse pointer to a text (eg. text on win xp icon) and my program can get the text of it.
2nd problem: how to display a tooltip baloon on my mouse pointer?
I'm putting the finishing touches to a fullscreen Winforms Application in VB (.net 3.5, VS2008). I need to hide the mouse cursor, so I've used:
Me.Cursor.hide()
this works exactly as you'd expect, until a timer triggered event runs (and no, the timer doesn't call Cursor.Show(),ANY event running seems to trigger this, and I have a lot of timers triggering events to control various aspects of my application). What I really want to accomplish is to have my application work like in Media Player, where the mouse cursor is hidden until I move the mouse or cancel fullscreen. Is there any way to hide the cursor until I move the mouse, close my form or exit fullscreen? I've tried lots of things, but can't find anything that actually works correctly (all due to triggered events running).
I would like to change the image used for the mouse cursor with a personal picturehow can i do thiswhich kind of exstension the peacture must have in order to be use as mouse cursor?
