The one main thing I needed is the cookie from the main browser control on my form to be passed to the popup window. Below is the only way I've been able to open the popup and pass the Document.Window.Opener value to it so that when java script is executed, it knows where the opener window is. I am getting the following error right now when trying to set the cookie from my webbrowser control to the iexplore instance of the popup window that opened.

If you click folder it opens new folder contents in WB window but if you click html document it opens in EXTERNAL viewer.
How do you get html document to open in WB while exploring ?

Its a single file downloader (the file location is in the code) and it only downloads the file as 0kb (it debugs fine). Also, i think my directory finder is not working, as i did it the simple way, because i dont know the environment code.

I have a VB app that ftp downloads a csv file every 5 minutes it contains a columns with data and one column with date and time. I need to figure out how to determine if the data changed based on whether or not the date column updated. Currently I parse the file in and drop a couple columns and do a sql update to a database.

However, urldownloadfile will use proxy that internet explorer use. That part is what I want. The thing is the proxy used authentication. The proxy in internet explorer is authenticated. Using urldownloadfile will faile with error. It works without proxy.Anotehr is to copy the image to clipboard. That method is not reliable when user switch to another.

The problem is when you click on a link to show a picture (it is not just a picture it is a html page) of the weather it opens up in a new window in IE, is it possible to have it just open in the same window (in my browser) and use the back button to go back to the previous page? Ie just like when you click a normal link that doesn't open up a new tab or window.

In my userform I have a WebBrowser control to load PDF files. I have added a FolderBrowserDialog to allow user selection of drives and or folders.
What I am trying to do now is after a file has been selected and viewed, the user may want to change drives and or folder locations. How do I remove the current contents of the WebBrowser control to be a blank screen (just like when the app starts, its blank).

I have a webbrowser control (in fact, a control inheriting from webbrowser), and added a tooltip control to the main form. Then, I filled the webbrowser tooltip text.But the tooltip never shows. (because the web browsers manage mouse hover with html?)I examined all the events exposed on the webbrowser control, and there is not one about mouse hover.so, the question is: How do I show the tooltip? Should investigate HTML, or there is a .NET control way?
