i have a database grade calculation and there is a result for example the result = 86 shown from the grid then the problem is how to make a text box that has an if and else statement telling if it passed or failed [code]its running its just that i really cant get the if function for database functions.

I have three groups in Listview1 and I would like different forms to open up based on the group each dropped item belongs to. I was able to open Form2 on drop by adding Form2.Show() at the end of the ListView_DragDrop handler sub, but this opens forevery item and I want different forms to open depending on the ListViewGroup the item belongs to.I set the items and groups in the property windows and not in code; I do not know if this makes a difference. View 2 Repliesim trying to make a program in which if the textbox text and the listbox text are the same order, which they are in the picture, a bluie fonted text saying well done appears. However only the red text appears which is only meant to come when the order of the text in both listbox and textbox isnt the same.
Here is the code that i used for this:

use another textbox instead of the listbox but thats just making itmuch harder for me as I already made the full code working with the listbox. My lecturer told me i need to convert both in string so both textbox and listbox are compatible and i did so (see code above) but the correct label doesn't show?
I went and created a tab containing a good amount of controls, most of which are contained within what I'll just call the top-level group box. Now I decide I'd like the text of the top-level group box to be bold, but nothing else. When I set the top-level group box's font to bold, however, all of the controls contained within it become bolded as well, which is what I don't want. I can set each individual control's bold property to false, but it seems like there should be an easier way to do this.

View 1 RepliesI dynamically create buttons on a form and use the button text as ids so that I can pass that to an SQL query to pull saved data about that button when necessary, but I also use an image over buttons that have information saved about them. What I need to know is how do I keep the text on the button from appearing when there is an image assigned to that button? By default vb.net shows both the text and the image and no TextImageRelation values allow for the image to take precedence. I tried changing the text color to transparent, but the outline of the text is still visible through the image. Is there anyway to keep the text value as it is but just show the image on the button?

On the main form of my application, I have a Rich Text Box which is where the user will be entering information. The text is black. then, i have a button which calls the dialogue "Notes" A dialogue appears, with a rich text box. the user should then be able to enter text into the box, click "OK", and the text entered into the Notes dialogue be inserted to the rich text box on the main form -- with the font colour "Red". The rest of the text in the main rich text box on the main form should remain black.

I want it to show the person's name, then their age, (jump down a line) then their ticket price, and then it jumps down a line to show the next person's name, age and ticket price. Issue is, when it's meant to jump down to show the next person, it just completely deletes the last person's details.I'm using this line of code:

I'm Making a Simple syntax highlighter and I'm Doing the highlighting in the text Changed event of a RTB and for obvious reasons I can't re highlight the whole document each time someone presses a key so i highlight one line each time the text changes. But this creates a Problem. If someone pastes code into the RichTextBox It only highlights the last Line. So is there a way to get if the user typed the text in with his keyboard or pasted it from the clipboard in the text Changed event?
