I created a database last week and now I have some images I want to add. I already included the image column and set the data type to image when I made it. How do I add the image into the database? All I want it to do is show the image in a gridview with many other details which are already showing in the gridview at the moment. I am not wanting other user's to upload images. It is an SQL Database which I created within Visual Studio.
What type of connector do i need to actually save the Map data like point of the images (x,y coordinate) into the database . and then retrieve it to show on the page in asp.net and how do i go about doing it.
I'm currently attempting a project where I need to display a series of images from a database, in thumbnail form, then fullscreen when they are selected. Next/Back arrows will be used to navigate through different pages of images. These images will be across a number of categories each one with a different table in the database. It is very important that the user can change the images in the database.
Rather than have a number of different pages and each image designated to a picturebox, I was wondering how I could make it so the program just displays the next 6-8 images from the database in the same picture boxes, giving a message when the it reaches EOF, This way the number and order of the pictures can be changed just by changing the database.
I am on a project where users can login /register /change status/ ... just like facebook. The problem is that i can't find a code that allow users to upload pictures as their profile picture. I think i should save the Url of the image in the database not all the image . I found a site where i can save the images: [URL] but i couldn't find a way uploading images to photobucket trough my application and get the url of the image ....:( What i really need is a way to upload images from my windows application form to my sql database.
Saving an Image to An SQL Database from a Visual Basic ASPNET.rtf?written in Visual Studio 2008, which is supposed to Insert Images into an SQL Database in Visual Basic ASP.NET I know it contains some errors but I can't point out exactly where I got it wrong?
i'm using VB.NET 2005 and mySQL server 5.0. Can i ask how do i retrieve the image from database and display images onto picturebox? mySQL column name is pictures then the data type is varchar. and how should i write on the database? eg. abc.jpg?
I am trying to retrieve jpg files from access database this is the code I used to insert the jpg picture into the database. I am using vb.net 2010 and access 2010
Dim jpgFile As String = "C:UsersPublicPicturesSample PicturesJellyfish.jpg" Dim o As System.IO.FileStream = New FileStream(jpgFile, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.Read) Dim r As System.IO.StreamReader = New StreamReader(o) Try
I have to save 4 different pictures in my database. NSO, GoodMoral, ReportCard & TOR. [code] My problem is, it allows me to look for different picture then save it without error. But when I check on the database(MSSQL) it doesn't save the different pictures but one picture for all four requirements (NSO, GoodMoral, ReportCard & TOR). How can I be able to save multiple images in my database?
At the moment each Company on my website have 1 picture they can add to their profile.I save that image into the database.its their Company Logo. Now i want to allow them to add more pictures. Now i don't know if i must save it all in the database or save it in folders???? Reason why i think folders will be better is because there are so much nice articles with fancy silver light kinda features that i can use but all of them only cater for images saved in folders. And since i am not THAT good its hard for me to change the code to look at the database instead of the examples that uses folders for image retrieval.I would like to add something like this to my website (browsing through the images).Any code examples for me on how to do this when images are saved in the database? I am using ASP.NET with VB.net.
Here is the code I used to store an image in my database (SQL Server 2008 R2) using VB 2010. The images get stored but the problem is the clarity of the image is lost when retrieved and seen in a picture box.
Public Function InsertUpdateImage(ByRef _SqlConnection As System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection, ByVal _Image As System.Drawing.Image, ByVal _ImageFormat As System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat) As Integer
I'm trying to store three images from a form (PictureBox's) into a SQL Database (MSSQL2008) The below does what I want but is clearly inefficient. Any pointers on what to change to improve this?
Private Sub SaveImages() Dim ConStr As String = "Data Source=SERVERSQL2008;Initial Catalog=NorthPole;Integrated Security=True"
This is a newbie question. I am trying to create an applicatiojn which allows the user to enter info on plants including photos. I have set up the database using image datatype and created the form using the dataset but when I save the data everything is saved but the image file. Obviously I need extra code but I can't find anything in the help files etc that shows me. This is the code I have at the moment
I am having a record of a specific company, I have saved all the details however, now for each company, there are like 3 + (Can get up to 6 or 7) business cards which I want to save.I want it something like, when I press Add button, a forms pops up and there is a picturebox, textbox and browse button. (And "+" button which will create these controls for next card in second line.)
When I press browse, and locate my image. It should show the image in picture box and save it in database or my app or excel file etc.So When i go to viewing section, I can see all the business cards which I have saved for that specific company.
I have a MSAccess table with 4 columns(of text type)and another column of Oletype. I have programmed in VB.NET such that a query will returns a dataTable with all the columns from that table What im trying is to put those contents on a word document with all the columns. For which I have tried to loop through the contents of dataTable and tried to attach all those values of all columns to a string and then I have added that string to a WordDocument Bookmark as shown below.
oDoc.Bookmarks( "Questions").Range.Text = qest
But Im unable to get that image which was stored in database column in the above fashion.
i have a small database .mdf (sql server database) contains wallpaper table for ex. and a textbox for search. when someone write "wallpaper" in search box, i want to make my form adding Picturebox automatically On the basis of the number of images in the database, i mean i have 1000 image calls "blue wallpaper" in database, i want to see 1000 picturebox in my form and every pictruebox Displays a picture.
I've looked in a few places but haven't had much luck in finding what I'm after. So I have a picturebox on my windows form and it has an image set to it, I also have a bunch of reference files that reference to a bunch of images.
Me.PictureBox1.Image = My.Resources.imgs.image1 That piece of code works.
Now, I tried to databind the picture box to a database so the images would load on the change of a combo box but that got confusing really fast so what I did was created a database and it holds all the image references such as "My.Resources.imgs.image1" but its stored as type varchar(50).
Connecting to the database and retreiving the strings is no problem, that works all fine. The problem is converting the string to the image reference, it doesn't work. I've tried type casting, I tried using imagelocation rather than image but I want to reference to the resources that is attached to the project.
I have some BLOB images within a small, 9 row, database and I simply want to run through the database and sequentially place each separate image into 9 picture boxes. I have tried with a picturebox array but it's placing the same image into each picturebox!
I want to load images into a picturebox, save them into a database and display them again in the picturebox. This is the code I'm actually having problem with:
Private Connection As String = _ "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" & _ "Data Source=C:UsersclientDocumentsVisual Studio 2008ProjectsSavingsLoansCalc.mdb" rivate Sub UploadButton_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, _ ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles UploadButton.Click [Code] .....
I'm getting this error message: "Type 'Connection' is not declared" On this line: oConn = New OleDb.OleDbConnection( _ New Connection().getConnectionString)
I'm using VS 2010 and MySQL 5.5. I've got a data grid view displaying the results of queries entered by the user, shown below. It works; the trouble is that if there's an image in the results, you'll only see a cell-sized very long thin strip of it.
So I want to a) resize any images to a reasonable thumbnail height (say, 100 pixels, naturally maintaining aspect ratio) when displaying them, and b) resize the row to fit them.[code]...
