i use data grid view in couple of my forms, i want to sirt there by date, but the datagridview of these forms take in two dates as well, a from date and a to date., and both are displayed side by side. eg feb 01 2010 - feb09 2010 and therea are more like this. the grid takes in couple of values like this

So this produces a stacked column graph with 2 A's, 1 B in May 11, etc But the date order is Feb, Jan, May, regardless of how I sort the datatable provided to the chart.

The column is bound to a date property, all is done using the designer.The set which I'm viewing it on is 424 entries long, there should be two entries for each date and they should be next to each other (regardless if sorting by date or string)The last few dozen entries are sorted correctly but the initial entries are not.Initially every second entry at the start is correct. Here is an extract if some of the sorting it does.(The beginning of the sorted grid is on the left, and the end of grid is on the right)

Let just say I have an Integer like 10,000 (that's the VALUE in want to reach). So, I have another integer like 2500 (that's my current VALUE). Third I have another Integer about 350 PER HOUR. To reach 10,000 I need 7,500 (well I already have 2,500). How long must I wait to reach the 10,000 when the increase is about 350 a Hour. Okay, that's easy: 7,500 / 350 = 21,428571 Hours. BUT how can I convert this double to a timespan? Or how is it possible to add this double value to the current Date to get the Date + Time when I reach the Value?
View 2 RepliesI'm having a problem with my DataGridView. When I double-click on any column, with exception to Date & Time, the grid advances by 1. As you can see the 2nd row is highlighted in blue, I actually double-clicked on the first one, under "Sent By." (See attached image)

I have a WPF ObservableCollection which is bound to a ListBox and I have a Sort() method which when called will convert the ObservableCollection to a List(Of T), and undertakes a sort based on a date/time column within the collection.
The data is sorted, even when new items are added to the ObservableCollection, however the date/time isn't being correctly sorted. The data is sorting based on the date however it is very much random when it comes to the time portion. The following is an example of the outcomes I am experiencing:

I have a situation where I am handling both single & double mouse click events on a form. In both cases something has to be loaded, however when a double click occurs, I do not wish to execute the code attached to the single click event.Is there a way to intercept the mouse click's and check if double or single and then execute the right event appropriately?
View 2 RepliesI have a htpc project that I am working on. The main program loads dll plugins which are basically other win forms. On each of these forms, including the main program, I use a picturebox (a double buffered picturebox) for the background image and then draw everything on it by hand. Whenever I load the form from the dll and show it, I get a weird flicker. It looks like it is the previously used double buffer. Is there any way to clear the background double buffer before the flicker? Or am I going in the wrong direction?

Notice the black screen with the white lines on it or the flash of the desktop after I click "Movies." How do I get rid of that?
For greater accuracy I should use a Decimal instead of a Double ( so I've been told ). Why then have Microsoft chosen to use DOUBLE for most of the functions that return a floating point value in the Math Class?

I've been just making random programs trying to get the hang of the new language this time I was making a leap frog game where it switches back and forth beetween frogs every time a button is pressed. It also checks if the frog can land in the text box above the button pressed, if there is another frog there a message box will pop up saying sorry space is filled other wise the frog should land there.
