So I am using a user to run the following code that is a member of the "User" group on a Windows 7, x64 machine. I am trying to use impersonation (by logging in as a user that is part of the Administrator group) to allow the current user to read from the registry. For some reason the login happens successfully but even though WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent() is returning the user that is part of the Administrator group I am still getting an error message saying "Requested registry access is not allowed". What am I doing wrong? This is the main code:

I have a class project that supplied me with an Access 2007 DB. When in VB and go through the steps for creating a data source. When the Wizard comes up I click on Database, Next, New Connection, Data Source is Microsoft Access Dagabase File (OLE DB), Browse to Database File Name, Test Connection is successful, click on OK, then Next. A MSVS box appears "The connection selected uses a local data file that is not in the current project. "Would you lie to copy the file to your project and modify the connection?"I am supposed to click NO. When I do I get this "Wizard Form" "An unexpected error has occurred. Error Message: Cound not load type." I need to be able to go to the next part of the Configuration Wizard that says "Choose Your Database Objects" I evensaved the file as Access 2003, and it will not work.

The setup is running in 32 bit mode and the installer class is made with Visual Basic installer class.
Now the problem is, how to read SQL Server 2008 64 bit registry settings in Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit machine.
E.g. installed instances and the data paths for every instances.
I need to check the SQL Server instance name and read from registry the database location path for that instance.
By default it reads the 32 bit registry so it does not found the settings at all.
Example code that can be set in visual basic installer class would we nice.

I am new to Visual Studio and (I am using Visual Studio 2005)I know how to connect/edit, etc to an access database by just using coding but I am having a problem with the Visual Studio Database wizard.
When I create a new Data Source and I specify a Microsoft Access Database File (OLE DB) connection + *.mdb filename, etc I am able to drag the table name onto the form and browse the contents of the database when running the application. No problem there.
The problem is when I run the application and adding new records to the database via the form, the new data does not get saved. I run the app (F5) + add new data to the database + save + then close the app. When I rerun the app from Visual Studio (F5), the new data is gone.

I have to develop an application using MS Visual Studio 2005 or above with the following objective:
* The application should allow users to create as many new forms as they want and each form should behave like a MS Visual Studio WinForm. By saying that it should be a container for drag and drop of controls from the toolbox that I will develop....
* Once the user design's each screen to his taste by placing various controls on the form, he should be able to save the form as a screen. Of course I have to provide functionality for each of the controls such as if he drags a button on to the form, he should be able to specify what action it has to perfom when clicked when the application is put into run mode. Quite similar to regular windows form button.
* My application should have two modes: a DESIGN MODE, where user can drag, drop controls and specify what they should do when put into RUN MODE. This is quite similar to MS Visual Studio designer.
* Last but not least is to be able to access the application via the browser with the same look and feel his desktop version.

The hard thing is that I wanna create a Toolbox in the target system Visual Studio Toolbox.I wanna create this Toolbox at the installation time.
Anyone knows a way to do this both for VS.NET2005 and VS.NET2008?
I found 2 ways:
Creating a .vscontent and .vsi file and execute it, which has 3 problems: Cannot run in silent mode - cannot create a custom named toolbox - my dll is not digitally signed and it will show a warning box, non acceptable![url]...

I have a table called MEMBER with fields for mem_id, mem_name, mem_addr, mem_city,mem_state, mem_zip and another table called STATE with state_id, state_addr, state_name in Access 2007.On the Visual Studio 2008 form, there is a combo box for the state. The goal here is to display the state abbreviations, but use the state_id value for the mem_state (there is a foreign key between those two fields). The mem_state is defined as number, the state_id is autonumber. Under the mem_state definition in Access, I used the lookup wizard (on the database that is in the bin/debug folder) to set the following properties:
Display Control - combo box,
Row Source Type - Table/Query,
Row Source - SELECT [State].[state_id], [State].[state_abbr] FROM State ORDER BY
