Dec 11, 2010I wanted to know how I could make a button and textbox appear when a different button is clicked. For example, when I click "Button1," which is already there, then "Button2" and "Textbox2" (I already have a "Textbox1") would show. I also already have an "openFileDialog" on "Button1."
At first I thought I should use
If Button1_Click Then
but I didn't know what to put after that. Is there any way I could use "If... ...Then..."? I find those easy to understand.

So what I am trying to do is to get textBox1 to show which button i have clicked. Because I have Form_Activated I only see changes when i reactivate the Form. So I would like to have Event that is Active all the time and listens to everything that happens in Application and NOT only when something is clicked or some text have changed.

I have named Button1 as Scan. When i click on Scan, the Button2(Pause) and Button3(Stop) should be displayed. When it is scanning, i have placed the progress bar with the timer. When the progress bar finishes loading, Button2(Pause) and Button3(Stop) should be hidden again.

Sep 5, 2009I have already done the creation of button and the dragging of button at runtime already.But now i need to know how do i save the last dragged button on the form and also detect the name of the last clicked button.so lets say i now drag a button to coordinates 25,254. so when i exit the form and the next time i launch it, the button will still be at 25,254. and this one will go on for the number of button i created like 100. so when i launch the form the 100 button will be at the exact position where i last saved them.the second part is lets say i created button1 and button2 on the form in runtime. so when i clicked the first button, it should display button1. and if i clicked on button 2, it should say button2. same goes for like 100buttons.

Show Menu When Clicked Without Focus?
Nov 9, 2010If my form does not have focus and I click on a menu item (think File, Edit, View) the sub-menu does not appear. All it does it return focus to the form. I have to first click to give the form focus and then click on the menu. Most other programs do not behave this way. Is there anything that can be done to change it.

The end result is baffling me here are 2 examples when I debug
Mine: 640.1 * 49 = 31364.9
Debugger: 640.1 * 49 = 31360 ( not right needs to show the correct decimal )
Mine: .775 * 3 = 2.325
Debugger: .775 * 3 = 2.325 ( shows it perfectly???)

Mar 10, 2010i have a form with 10 designated slots for letter to be entered (Like the free letter spaces on hangman), above these are 10 adjacent labels with a full stop "." as the text value, now i have created a button, Q to detect whether there is a. in the first box, and if there is enter the letter Q (Letter1.text = "Q"), elseif check the same for the second box. Now my problem is when i click the button, it still does nothing and letter 1 remains "." instead of "Q". also how would i end this string of else ifs? as in what if every text box is full then do what?

My btndisplay cost works, but my btnexitprogram does not close the application when clicked. I've ensured the button is correctly named and enabled. But when I click it does not close out, I use this simple code in other programs and it works.

I was thinking that I could get around this by only allowing the button to be clicked once, and if the user attempts to do this more than once a messagebox will appear saying that you can only calculate the price once and the form resets but i can't seem to get any code working.
