Index (zero Based) Must Be Greater Than Or Equal To Zero And Less Than The Size Of The Argument List
Feb 2, 2012
I created a .NET application that reports to a log file the contents of a registry key. My code works perfectly but it is choking on one of the string values found in the registry. The code that works normally is below.
I get this error when clicking on any of the letter buttons in my repeater. The sql statement I have works in sql server, but on my page it just errors out. The only thing that is different is that in sql server I change '@CompanyID' to an actual ID and '{0}' to 'a' so the query will run. All the posts I have found online with this problem say something about this-->{0}, but I don't see anywhere that I might be trying to pass more than one argument or have this wrong.[code]
The user will imput a number value then a - then some words after that. I just want the number value. But when I try to debug the app it breaks on this line of code with this error. Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero.
In my decryption statement I am getting Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero. is this statement wrong DecodedStr = Mid(DecodedStr, 1, InStr(DecodedStr, Right(DecodedStr, 4)) - 1)
I disabled an exception because it was bugging me i couldnt find an intermittent error. My program reads textmessages from a phone, however a problem sometimes arises, and I am slowly pinpointing the areas of the code that cause issues. I have found however that it is sometimes here:
'Get a string of certain length Shared Function GetString(ByRef PDUCode As String, ByVal Length As Integer) As String
[Code]....
check to see if length is zero AND thereofre try again in a moment, (because it usually works second time for some reason). I can think how to get around the exception
Public Sub ProcessFTAlchemyFiles(ByVal PathPlusfilename As String) Dim ParserFile As String Dim Sections() As String Dim StationType As String Dim ts As StreamReader
Suppose you have list 1 (ilist1) and list 2 (ilist2) both lists have 3 items.
At index 0 item1 which has text "-- Select --" At index 1 item2 which has text "Yes" At index 2 item3 which has text "No"
Both lists have identical items. I would like to know if it is possible to have the selection of list one be "Yes" and the selection of list two be "No" and vice versa using SelectedIndexChanged or something of the sort.
For example: ilist1 = --Select-- ilist2 = --Select--
What im trying to do is send vars to a flash file. The following is my code:
Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim oTitle As New ArrayList Dim oSub As New ArrayList Dim oRate As New ArrayList
[code]....
What I'm expecting the output to display is something like "t1=value&s1=value&r1=rate&t2=value&s2=value&r2=rat&t3=value&s3=value&r3=rat" But... i keep getting this exception: index was out of range. must be non negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: INDEX.
I have a datagridview, with 3 columns, each containing dropdown filters (in the column header). Of the 3 columns, 2 are working perfectly fine, but whenever I try to filter the 3rd column, it gives me this error: (Also all of the column's have the ColumnType property set to: DataGridViewAutoFilterTextBoxColumn) "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than size of the collection. Parameter name: index." The error points to the part that begins with "If dgv1.Rows(e.RowIndex)..."
Private Sub dgvWPS_CellFormatting(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs) Handles dgv1.CellFormatting If e.ColumnIndex = 1 Then
i am trying to get the value into the cur_stock where item_id = datagrdiview.curentcell.value.I am lookin out for the solution since couple of days, but couldnt figure it out.Well, m trying to make this work on CellMouse click event
Below is my vb.net code:
Private Sub DataGridView_stockout_CellMouseClick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellMouseEventArgs) Handles DataGridView_stockout.CellMouseClick Dim i As Integer = Stock_checkDataSet1.Tables(0).Rows.Count - 1
Okay here's what I'm trying to do. I want to change the font size of a label based on the size of the form.If the form size is 0 through let's say 500 I want the label size to be 50. How can I write this?
I have written an application to register a url type extension at startup so in short if user inputs dld:// in any browser it loads my app now, what I want to do I want to somehow move a bit further like if user goes dld://about the application loads and shows the about page
i'm trying to do a filename compare, sort of fuzzy match. Here's what code i have.First of all i load 2 directory's into 2 listbox's as strings and remove the filepath. Directory1
Code: TextBox1.Text = FolderBrowserDialog1.SelectedPath If TextBox1.Text = "" Then Else
Then when i click the compare button i am trying to pass listbox1 and listbox2 through Distance and return the resulting fuzzy file matches.
Code: Dim MyObject As New StringSift2 Dim ReturnVal As Single ReturnVal = MyObject.Distance(ListBox1.SelectedItem, ListBox2.SelectedItem)
[code]....
But i get this error.
Code: TreeView1.Nodes(lb1).Nodes.Add(ReturnVal.ToString())Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: index
I am running a VB.NET program and having an error of "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index".My code looks like below.
If Status.InvokeRequired Then Try Status.Invoke(New delegateoneArg(AddressOf onChangeEvent), ws)[code].....
when I click the Open button a file is opened and its items are sorted alphabetically. to do this I have doubled the size of my list. However, when I click the button again to reopen the same file, the items will ADD ON to the previous open-file event even though I have this piece of lstListboxTwo.Items.Clear()(the correct thing is to clear the previous items and add the new ones)So I think this has to do with the new size of my list..I think that I have to set the list size back to its normal size when re-clicking on the button.
Public Class frmForm Dim List() As String = {""} Dim count As Integer
I have the Context Menu Options like ( Small Font , Large Font ) based on the selection I want to change the size of the Font in the Controls,Control's Size & location(x,y,height, width). The resize of the controls should not affect the look and feel of the forms.
Does any on know how to find the index of a row in a data grid based on Checkbox = true. ?I may have several check rows and need the index to update an insert query that updates anther table.
I am getting an index error, "Argument out of Range"(InvalidArgument=Value of '1' is not valid for 'index'.)
I've got an array, which I wanna read out starting from array(3) (forth value) and I want also concatenate two bytes always, for example array(4) and array(5) should be representad as one number, array(6) and array(7) another one, and so on.
I have a little program where the user can select an item out of a listview. In this particular listview there is this code under the listboxindex changed event:
Private Sub Lopd_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Lopd.SelectedIndexChanged opdrachtgever = Lopd.SelectedItems.Item(0).SubItems(0).Text
I have RowDatabound event where I want to change column names like this: Protected Sub gvKeyValueOfstringstring_RowDataBound(sender As Object, e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewRowEventArgs) Handles gvKeyValueOfstringstring.RowDataBound if e.Row.RowType = DataControlRowType.Header Then gvKeyValueOfstringstring.Columns(0).HeaderText = "Match" gvKeyValueOfstringstring.Columns(1).HeaderText = "Replace" End If End Sub
But I am getting err: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index
i am able to fill my datagridview but what i need is to select only a few columns from the table and not the whole column itself, so i have the following code from http:[url]./....and translated to vb.net, and change some part of it, into this,,,
conn.Open() ' Define the Reader Dim dt[code].....
my MSAccess table (cc_list), (empid) column is now in string but before is is on number format, but after changing it to string, it still shows the same error maessage.
Is it possible to select a value of a drop down by its dynamic index that is returning from another function whereas selectindex = 2 (generated dynamically)
