Interface And Graphics :: Listview Or Datagridview - Get/set Specific Cell?

I need to display a list with 2 columns and "n" rows (first column will be an IP address and second column the status - say connected, failed, etc).The case is that I need to be able to SET and GET the value of a certain cell. For instances, if the user click the first row of the list (row 0), I want to be able to get what is the intersection 0,0 (IP of first row) and intersection 1,0 (status of first row) and so on.I am trying Listview and Datagridview with no success.

I want to rotate a graphic at a point and I used the centerX and centerY to define the center of rotation.
Here is what I wrote:
Dim rotate_mirror as new RotateTransform(CSng(txtbx_rotate_by.text))
rotate_mirror.centerX = 5
rotate_mirror.centery = 55
blk_mirror.RenderTransform = rotate_mirror
blk_mirror is the graphic I want to rotate. Unfortunately, It does not work.

Does anybody have any idea how i can sort a listview by the items backround colour? At the monent the listview looks very messy with all the colours in different places and i dont think the users will be too pleased!!! Iv been trawling the net but cant find anything.

I have a listview with a number of items with different color backrounds on each. But when i click on one of the items, the color of the item that the selection has just left turns to white, but it is recognised as being green/blue/whatever. If i open up another form on top of that one, and then close it, the colour comes back for the area that the form was covering.
I have a textbox that changes its backround color based on the color of the listview item currently selected, and that always shows the correct color.
I'v crawled the web and can only find one instance of it happening and that was a graphics accelerator problem, but i cant turn off my accelerator.

produces the error 'Rows cannot be programatically added to the DataGridView's rows collection when the control is databound.'
To my knowledge, this is an empty grid. I am adding data manually and the code below works if I remove the line. The problem is I need to add the next line.

I have a standard DataGridView. One of the columns is a DataGridViewComboBoxColumn. When I select one of the ComboBox items, I want to trap the change and add additional columns based on the item selected in the ComboBox. I've tried using CellValueChanged for the DataGridView column, and a bunch of other events, but none of them is fired when the DataGridViewComboBox value is changed. What event can I trap to make this happen?

I have a main form with a DataGridView populated from an Access Table.So far so good.When the user clicks on a row a small form pops up and the the user can enter/edit for 2 specific fields .After that hitting the save button an update query ensures that the data are written back.Because the base table is big i don't want to refresh the dataset (at least i don't want to have the user wait for a good amount of time for a simple change.......this is acceptable only when the application is starting) and i thought given the fact that the changed data are just a few words to "edit" the datagridview cell i want so that it displays the changes.BUT i can't do that.As soon as the 2nd form where the user enters the details the DGV from the main form is unaccessible.When i try to get access to it i have a nice message "Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference."I tried to make a object reference but nothing ...

I am making a program which remembers my last selected row in a data table. I have done this by adding a column with a CheckBox, upon CellClick the CheckBox is checked, and upon ellLeave it is unchecked and the new cell is checked, after every action a Update command is run. There will never be more than one row with a checked cell in the DataGridView,however, the data table is in a relationship with other tables, so there may be more checked cells in the data table itself. My problem now is selecting the row with that cell when I open the program and when changing between other data tables and back again.All solutions I found on selecting a specific cell in a DataGridView are referring to index numbers, and in my case I need it to find a data value in a column, I do not know the specific row, only that one row contains the value of True while everything else is False.

I am filling a DataGridView from a table in SQL Server 2008. There is one column that is a string which contains either "YES" or "NO".When I run and display the DataGridView it displays perfectly. For the User's benefiy, if the field contains "NO" I want to put some emphasis on it by changing the fore color and back coler of the entire row. In the DGV the index for field is (4).I tried this code which threw an error on the word "value" inthe block that fills the DGV.

I am using a list<of T> as a data source for a datagridview and would like to handle the draw event of the datagridview to evaluate the string length of the column cell. If larger than a particular number then I would just do something like
cell.value = string.substring(0,(whatever number I need it to be)).

how could I get the text of a specific cell in a DataGridView control ? If it matters , in my case , all the cells contain strings or nothing . For example , in order to get the text from the cell on row 2 and column 3 , what code do I have to use ? I have tried the Value property but seems that's not it . As I have no idea on how to retrieve access data at the specific location in the table, so I wrote VBA code t export the entire access database to a datagridview which is located in the form1. There's a column of datagridview contain complete address information of a image. I'm thinking a way to link image source (of form 2 or xaml file) to the the column so that the image will be displayed. is there any code to get cell value at the specific location in the table? In excel VBA, sheets("Sheetname").Cells(rownumber, columnnumber).value is used to get the cell value, but how about code for this case?

Im working on a project that needs to print a report of one client.Everything went smooth untill i came across my multiline input text data.When i display it in the PrintPagePreview the text go's outside my page. I'm working on a design project where I have to use a Graphical User Interface that contains a drag and drop form. It consists of having a window dropped on a wall. Both of them are images to scale. I would like to know what kind of code I would have to use to show the x and y coordinates of one of the points of my window when dragged so when I drop it, I'm dropping in it on the desired coordinate of the wall.

I was wondering if I could elicit some tips on how to procede with an interface design approach.That is. What is a good way to go about establishing a "work area" where one can have multiple "floating forms" in this area.Can you have a form which occupies the entire windows desk top and the other forms "float" in this space? the "floating" forms would need to interact with each other where pressing buttons etc on them would affect other forms on the "workspace") Or what would be a good way to start accomplishing that? Or is there a better way to get the same effect?
