How do you move multiple files to the recycle bin all at once? I want the recycle dialog box to show that says "Are you sure you want to send X items to the Recycle Bin" I have tried the API functions with SHFileOperation and have tried the My.Computer.FileSystem.DeleteFile but i can only delete one file at a time. I do not want to delete an entire directory but rather just a selection of files that i specify just like what can happen in windows explorer.

My database has two tables, inventory and history, both work and I can retrieve the data from each.The problem is when I try to link the inventory table to a datagridview object. As soon as I enter the configuration wizard a red x appears in my data connections. Regardless of this, however, I can still successfully add my history table. I created a Right-Click Menu option for files. When the user clicks the menu option it will copy all of the file paths to the clipboard.The following function I have will retrieve all of the filepaths to the clipboard. The problem lies in adding the filepaths to the listbox. If I turn single instance application off the result is multiple instance of the application for each filepath. Say for example I selected 2 files and clicked my right-click menu, I wind up with 2 instance of my exe with each file path added to the listbox, 1 in one listbox, the other file path in the second instance listbox.

At the moment i have two listbox's, listbox1 shows the list of files without the directory paths showing. Listbox2 is used to add items from listbox1 which work ok but what i need is to be able to preserve the directory paths to each file. how to do this and have searched high and low for a solution without any luck.
I have worked out one way of doing it but i think there is a better way of doing it as the reverse does not seem to work. So basicly i want listbox1 to list the files without the paths and pass it on to listbox2 so that the files can be copied to temp directory as they are being add to listbox2.

I am trying to import a bunch of excel 2003 files all with A:H columns and they are under the same headings etc. into a table in access 2003 database. This is a module in access im making. Im using a file search to look for every file that begins with Format (which they all do ) to get at all the files in the folder path. is there a more efficient way to do this? somehow select all files in a folder? and import each to the same table in access? The DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet seeems to take each file path individually so I'm not sure how to get each file name in the folder to import it.

I have multiple file upload boxes on a form in my mvc3 application. Request.Files shows 3 files when I put a break point in the below function and look at it.. Problem is other than coding a counter and using a select case I dont see a way to handle saving each file name to the database column it belongs to... Is there away to assign the variable on the fly I guess you could say So that the foreach loop would drop the file in the correct column. Ie handoutFile1, handoutFile2 , handoutFile3, Etc. As it stands the below will overwrite the filename in handoutfile1 every time the loop is gone through. I thought about throwing a counter in the loop and just put a select case on it to assign the db column based on the counter number. Seems like a cheap work around though. [Code]
