Keeping A Total - Size Of Pizza Which Is A Combo Box (CmbSize)

Anyway I am writing a program to allow the user to enter:
-size of pizza which is a combo box (CmbSize)
-type (thin crust or standard) of pizza which is a combo box (CmbType)
-pizza choice (spicy chicken, maryland etc) using a checked listed box (ChkdListChoice)
The problem I have that will probably be simple to a lot of you who are using this language frequently is that I simply want keep a running subtotal of the users choice. So for example the user chooses 8" Spicy Chicken - 3.50, then they press the BtnAddToOrder button to output it to the Textbox (TxtPizzaChoi). When the user adds the next pizza I simply want the previous pizza price to be added to this one giving a new subtotal. I have not made the price change if the user changes the size to 12" spicy chicken, the price is still 3.50, simply because I think this could make it more difficult to me and I don't have lots of time to work on this. My declarations are not all in use and i may not need them by the way.

This is my project for class and this is what i have so far but my teacher gave me no credit. What am i doing wrong? i tried rearranging it but no success.
A fast-food vendor sells pizza slices at $1.25 each, fries at $1.00, and soft drinks at $0.75. Write a program to computer a customers bill. The program should use 4 subprocedures that do the following:
1. read in the amount of each item ordered
2. calculate the total cost
3. display an itemized bill
4. read in the users full name from a textbox, and display a sentence, addressing the user by first name only and in upper case characters, informing the user of their bill
Here is an example itemized bill:
Item Quantity Price
Pizza slices 3 $1.25
Fries 4 $1
Soft drinks 5 $0.75
Total $11.50
Example sentence for point 4: if the user name was entered as John Smith, you would display the sentence JOHN, your bill is $11.50.

I'm about to pull my hair out with this program. I need the following program to keep a running total of the total amount due by a customer for books bought. The exercise required the use of a BookSale class with 3 attributes(a quantity,price,and total due) and 2 behaviors(a default constructor and method that keeps a running total). My problem lies in the program keeping a running total. The total due is displayed fine for each quantity and price but not the whole running total. For example,if I enter 1 as quantity and 2 as price and click the Add to Sale button,the Total Due value,which is $2.00,is displayed. However,if I change the quantity to 2 and price to 4,which comes out to $8.00,the $8.00 is not added to the existing $2.00. I feel like I'm missing something elementary and it's driving me crazy. I would work on it some more but it's already after 4 AM here and I need to get some sleep.BTW,this exercise is from a college textbook. However,this isn't an assignment that is due. I just got bored and decided to work on a chapter we didn't have time to get to.

I am trying to keep track of the total number of discounts given (whole numbers) I keep getting .75 after the first discount, and it adds .75 for every trans action after that. I have tried to pick it apart but I just don't see it. You can follow by tracking the comments that relate to the summary. I know that is an Integer but the book has it declared as a decimal so I went with it.

How can i get the combo box to keep the value that was partialy keyed in and completed with auto complete.Pressing enter doesn't select the value so when you tab out it keeps the entered auto completed value. The only way to keep the auto complete value is to click on the combo box with the mouse and then tab out of it. I would like some how of being able to tab out of the combo box and it keep the auto completed value that the user has entered so as to save time entering data so no mouse clicks are needed and the data grid view can be tabbed through and all data entered from keyboard.

really stuck on one part of the my coursework which is the total bit. Ive looked everywhere but i still have not found a coding that works. Basically i have 2 combo box's (cboUrban ,boUk) and 2 add buttons for each (btnAdd1, btnAdd2) and a lstTrack box. The user selects a song from each catagory and adds the song by clicking on add track button for each combo box the song then appears on the lstTrack box where a total has to be displayed. however i can not find a code for thi! each track costs 1.00

In VB10/win forms project, when I change the forms font size the form and all the controls on the form get larger or smaller, OK great! The problem is the combo boxes then appear with their text highlighted. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong, simple example..

The pay rates for the project are:
a. Level 1 - $10.00
b. Level 2 - $12.00
c. Level 3 - $14.00
d. Level 4 - $16.00
e. Benefit Deduction Rate - 0.10
f. Overtime Factor - 1.5
For ease of program maintenance, all of the above rates and factors must be stored in module level constants. All references to pay rates in the program must refer to the module level constants.
When the Calculate button is clicked:
a. The value in the Hours text box must be validated to insure that it is numeric value greater than zero.
1. If the value is not valid, a message box must appear as shown below and the user must be offered the option to continue processing or quit the program.
2. If the user chooses to continue processing, the focus must be set to the Hours text box.
3. If the user chooses to quit, the program must close immediately.
b. If the value is valid, the program must calculate and display the total pay in the Total Pay label.
1. The pay rate is determined by which Job Grade radio button is checked.
2. For hours less than or equal to 40, the total pay is the hours times the pay rate.
3. For hours greater than 40, the total pay is 40 hours times the pay rate plus the hours in excess of 40 hours times the pay rate times the Overtime Factor.
4. If the Full Time radio button is selected, the total pay must be reduced by the Benefit Deduction Rate.
5. The value displayed in the Total Pay label must be formatted with a dollar sign and with two decimal
places.
6. The focus must be set to the Hours text box.

I am working with VB 2008. I want to be able to run this program say in N: and it will show me in an excel sheet the following:
Folder Path Size(GB) Count of Files
N:Clients 0.53 308
where clients contains subfolders and files and the size is the total of all those files within each folder and the count is the total within each folder also.
This works fine as it is but i have to select one by one the top level folders and some of them are huge so it takes forever to give me an answer.
1) I would like to see in my spreadsheet the following by only select the network drive n:
Folder Path Size(GB) Count of Files
N:Clients 0.53 308
N:Software 10.7 15430
N:Billing 0.98 105
2) I would also like to know if this is the faster method.
3) I tried adding a progress bar so that the user can have an idea of how much this will take but i had to remove because it was not working.
4) I would like to see the folder name, size of folder and count of files in the listview.

I'm new to forums as well as new to VB 2008. I'm in process of making a order calculator which will total any values you selected in combo boxes/checkboxes and then display it in a selected area. There are 3 things that I want to achieve: 1. Be able to add another total to an existing total (currently I'm able to see only one total when I hit "Calculate" button)2. Display how many orders I have made so far (new total counts as one order)3. Be able to add up checkboxes selected to an overall total. Now all went well about from using the structure correctly. The working of the structure was perfect. How ever i missed Two important issues. The structure needed a fixed size of 10 items (9 in programming terms starting from 0) And also out of the 5 items allowed to be chosen as one of the member types for the structure a limit of 5 items of that particular type.

i wanted to link options selected from Comb box A (general) to specific options in combo box B (specific). I want to pick a word in Combo box A that has specific words/phrases in Combo Box B show. But not all the words to show in the combo box B if they aren't associated with the Word picked in Combo Box A. Combo box 2 is filled based on a selection made in combo box 1 and a listview is populated based on the selection made in combo box 2.When the LostFocus event completes in combo box 1, it hits the LostFocus event in Combo Box 2 but it shouldn't.
