How do I link my ComboBox (Which Contains Folders) to show the relevant files in my list view.

I have a datagridview for the transactions table. On the datagridview there is a combobox column for the type id field in the transactions table. This combobox displays the transaction type name from the transaction types table and puts the transaction type id into the transactions table. That much is okay. But each transaction type belongs to one of several categories. I have a categories table. The category id field in the transaction type record points to the id of the categories table. The category id is not in the transactions table, it is in the transactions types table. I need to know how to link the categories combo box on the datagridview to the category id in the transactions types combobox, which isn't even there right now. At present the transaction types combobox does not display the category id. It displays the transactions type name. Do I need to add another combobox to link the categories combo to the types combo?
I need to have it first and foremost so it will display the correct category when existing records are pulled up. I think I could do this with a join to the transactions type table in the categories combobox. But that wouldn't cause the transaction type combo to filter by category when a new entry is made.
Can someone advise as to the correct way to link comboboxes in this type of heirarchy?

I have a child form which contains a list of names and information, like age, sex, etc, in a multicolumn listview that gets populated from an xml file on the form load.There is also a combobox on this form that contains different Ages and when the user selects an age in the combobox I have it so the listview clears and the data reloads then removes all the rows that don't contain the matching "age" value in the age column.This works but it's really slow since each time a user makes another choice from the Combobox the whole listview is repopulated from the xml file.[code]I was thinking about doing the Name filter about the same way except on the textbox keyup event, but I fiqured I'd work at getting this working better first since this is way too slow.I don't really know any way of filtering the listview other than deleting the entries that don't match what's in the combobox.But then I end up reloading the whole thing when another selection is made from the combobox.

The 'Name' column does exist, but the ComboBox shows only the type of each datarow not the contents! If I set the datasource to a datatable, the correct column is shown in the combobox/listview.

However, I would like to be able to call the *javascript:parent.__doPostBack('Close','')* method from the code-behind file rather than the user clicking the link. I.e., when I have completed my tasks in the application code, call parent.doPostBack as my last function call, which closes the window in question.
When a button is clicked i am creating HTML that will be displayed in the WebBrowser1 control. With this HTML are several links to other pages. Is it possible that when one of these links is clicked, that WebBrowser2 navigates to the page instead of WebBrowser1?

so I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and I'm trying to make a program where I would have a textbox where the user would type,then a "Go" button. In the textbox, the user would type a number, lets go with 1 for an example. A user would type 1 in the textbox, then it would automatically add the 1 to the end of this .swf link: "http:[url]... after they enter the 1 in the textbox and press the "Go" button, it would add the 1 to the end of that link, then that link would open a new shockwaveflash form with the link being the Movie. Is this possible?

I have 3 forms, one frmMain - main form, second is frmUserType- childform, and the last frmCreateUserType. In the main form I have a menu item to open my frmUserType, In this form I have a button to open another form which is my frmCreateUserType, In this form I have a button to add records then update the listview in frmUserType. The problem is the listview will not access with my add button control in frmCreateUserType. I tried not to used mdiparent declaration for my frmMain and frmUserType as children and it works, so meaning that the problem is showing my frmUserType as childform?I am using vb.net 2008
