ListView And RegEx Control - Getting Keywords Of Websites?

After press the button I want to get the the keywords of all these websites. So I use regex control here is my code :

I'm making a (F1) part for my application. I made a form with a Webbrowser-control and I made several .html files. Now I would like that the users enter a keyword and that they see all the files where that keyword is found in the metatag <keyword>. What is the best (and fastest) way to search for that?

I have used VB6 years ago. Few days ago I just got started again with VB 2010. So I'm newbie again, Almost forgot everything. I want to create a program for parental control that block specific websites.
What I exactly want to do is The code should check the titles of the open windows and see if it is blocked one. If it is, it will close the browser with a message showing it's blocked. For example If I put "yahoo" to check and someone opens yahoo.com it should be terminated.What I have done so far is, I made DOS batch file that will terminate all the browsers that are open and set that ready to run when the title matches blocked site name/address.But I am stuck at how I can check the titles of the window that are open.

I use the webbrowser control to navigate to certain websites and login and retrieve some data. For that I created a sub for each website. On the form i have a button that calls every sub when clicked. The problem is that I don't know how to pause or stop the process once started. If I quit the program it will still run in the background until all calls complete. I tried to use a thread, but that doesn't go well with the webbrowser control.

I have 3 forms, one frmMain - main form, second is frmUserType- childform, and the last frmCreateUserType. In the main form I have a menu item to open my frmUserType, In this form I have a button to open another form which is my frmCreateUserType, In this form I have a button to add records then update the listview in frmUserType. The problem is the listview will not access with my add button control in frmCreateUserType. I tried not to used mdiparent declaration for my frmMain and frmUserType as children and it works, so meaning that the problem is showing my frmUserType as childform?I am using vb.net 2008

I'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

I have a vb-2008 program that contains a (listview) control.

Lets say the table has 3 columns (a,b,c) and 1 row of data.

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.
c a b
3 1 2
Statements like:
.. ListViewX.Columns(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Columns.Item(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Items(0).SubItems(2).ToString
Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.
How can i get the column-name and cell-contents of the (3rd) column of the re-arranged table?

I have been able to associate a listview control with an imageview control to display images. There are a couple of things, I would like to do.
1> How do I display the image in the second column? 2> How do I increase the size of the image getting displayed? My images are all 48 x 48 (pixels), but they keep shrinking.

I am having an issue where I am using regex.Replace to replace part of a string. The basic idea is that I want to capture the beginning of the string then replace the end of the string with a value from code. For an example pretend I have a string that says "Test Number " followed by number and I want to increment that number. I capture the "Test Number " but when I try to concatenate that capture with the new number it treats the capture ($1) as a literal and replaces the entire string with $1[new number].

This will output "We are on Test Number 2", as expected. how I can use a variable in the replacement string portion of the Regex.Replace when including a captured group?

I'm creating a program in VB.NET to output multiple images. Some images will have the same file name. If there is multiple files with the same name I want to add "_1_" to the end of the file name. If the "_1_" file already exists I want to increment the 1 to be "_2_". If this file already exists I want to continue incrementing the number ultil it doesn't exist. I've been working straight since yesterday trying to get this to work. I'm a noob to RegEx and I've tested out about 5 different RegEx "builders" but each of them require you to navigate through the options to build the Regex...each of them has failed when I try to use them.Is there an application out there free/paid where you select the line you want to grab and the RegEx is auto generated from that highlight rather than having to try to build the line of code? I have a question here. I'd like to develop a vb.net program to run thru all source code in a folder to look for certain strings.my initial thought is to create an .ini file then program will read the strings then start searching in the source code for the strings entered.
the final output will be an excel sheet, stating the filename and the line number.
is this a good way to do it? if yes, can i ask for a skeleton program?if no, any other way?

Im just wondering how i can achieve the following, this is for my own learning. Im going to be passing an XML file to VB.net and im hoping to pick out keywords from within the XML file is that possible?
So say the XML file had words such as "hello" "Today" "Next Week"
how can i possibly pick these out and store them in a varible?
I can do the first bit i.e passing the XML file in reading it etc, but im curious on the second part?

How would I make a program that would search through a .txt file, and find certain predetermined keywords. Basically, I have a very simple keylogger on my son's laptop to keep an eye on him. My hope is that I would make a program that would go through the .txt file, and if one of the keywords is found, then I would have the program execute a little something I have cooked up to warn to stop. The only problem is, I do not know how to search through the .txt file.

i'm used to be a VB6 user and started move on to VB.NET few days ago and i'm still quite new to its new syntax.Today i came across there is a object declaration with the 'Nothing' keyword follows at the end and what it actually means? Dim l_Active As AvsIdentityType = Nothing
As i know Nothing keyword is usually used to release the instance to the object after we used it but why it is used in the declaration statement?BTW, the 'AvsIdentityType' is a public structure.

I'm attempting to recreate a form in Crystal Reports, under VS2010, after a form created under VS2008 stopped working.I have reached a point where I am trying to copy the following function from the old form to the new:
Shared myVariable As String
myVariable = {myTable.myColumnName}
formula = ""
In the original function editor, the words "Shared" "As String" and "formula" are highlighted in blue as keywords.In my new version of the report, only "Shared" is highlighted as a keyword. When I try and save the function, I am told it contains an error. This error is reported as: "A variable type (for example, 'numberVar') is missing."
The formula works on the original formula workshop. Why not now?
