I'm making a (F1) part for my application. I made a form with a Webbrowser-control and I made several .html files. Now I would like that the users enter a keyword and that they see all the files where that keyword is found in the metatag <keyword>. What is the best (and fastest) way to search for that?

Basically, I have a very simple keylogger on my son's laptop to keep an eye on him. I am in the process of creating a program, using Visual Basic Express, for a physics professor who has recently had to rename all 1500 questions for his course. I created a database that has the old names, new names, and the entire contents of each question. The program seemed an easy enough idea, but has proved to be very difficult for me. I am new to programming (this is only my third go at it) and have searched for an answer to my problem for at least 20 hours, and have yet to find anything that will work for what I need.
What I would like is to have a text box in which he can type in a keyword (such as "Sun", "ISS", "Force", etc) and for the program to search throughout the entire "questioncontents" column and pull out any questions that contain those words into the datagrid. As of yet the closest I have gotten is for it to search the first word of the column, which is not very useful since most of them start with "The". I had also thought of creating several keyword columns and then just having it search through those, but I couldn't figure out how to apply the filter to multiple columns.
I am trying to run a search query at wordpress via a webbrowser control, when I enter the search query in any browser it works fine, however when I try the same thing with the webbrowser control in VB the search does not work.

How can I exclude a common keyword like "a,the,is,or.. etc.." from my search query ? If you do a search in Google or other search engine it says "the" is a very common word, and was not included in your search.Is there a list somewhere that I can get all the common keywords that need to be excluded from the search query?

Once the page is uploaded, my app grabs the HTMl and then with a button click convert it into plain text by using html agility pack (HAP). Finally by clicking a button I store the result inside a sql server database.

Hi, I need to program a simple Web Browser that can search for keywords and store relevant data in another file.I am facing a problem with authentication, mainly cookies and maintaining a session.So I read that Web Browser Control is based on I.E.? So may I know how are cookies and session handled?Do I have to implement them manually or are they stored and retrieved from the same folder as the one used in I.E? If so, if I delete the I.E.'s cache, am I also deleteing the cache of any Web Browser I make using Web Browser Control?

It will then show that sentence from TextBox2 in TextBox3.

If you click folder it opens new folder contents in WB window but if you click html document it opens in EXTERNAL viewer.

I am writing a few web based apps which will require a webbrowser extension. I have already used the IE webbrowser control that uses the trident web rendering engine. I believe this is MSHTML.DLL? Anyway, some of the users of my programs have complained of a few things. Particularily,
1. It seems to be a slow browser, at least compared to other rendering engines out there (webkit and gecko are 2 known ones).
2. On the developer side, it seems to be low in features. The features are sufficient in most cases, but there are some "special" things that I need.
3. It has VERY low HTML (and especially HTML5) compliance.
My question is, how much work would it take to use a different engine (such as webkit .net, which I HAVE heard of) and be able to distribute it easily. Or, if you guys feel ambitious, we could try writing a brand new engine ourselves. I know how big of a job it is, and frankly, I have no clue where to begin. I would just like your thoughts and opinions on the matter.
i have created an app to load an access database into a datagridview, which contains web urls. When button is clicked it webbrowser1 navigates to each url and each webpages document.inertext is put into textbox. This all work fine but after a while the webbrowser navigation becomes increasingly slower.

In the html file, I have filenames mentioned.I am trying to string together the html in such a way as to give a clickable link or button that will parse into html and open the corresponding file in another WebBrowser control in VB.I have tried using VBScript and JavaScript to put a button in the html.As long as the function or sub I call is also in the same html document, it works, but I really need to transfer the control back into visual basic where I can do the heavy lifting I need to.can I just not do this as a regular VB application? Any way to do it without adding the complication of requiring ActiveX?
