I have been able to associate a listview control with an imageview control to display images. There are a couple of things, I would like to do.
1> How do I display the image in the second column? 2> How do I increase the size of the image getting displayed? My images are all 48 x 48 (pixels), but they keep shrinking.

With .Net 3.5 / VB 2008 / WinXP...I'm using a Listview control in Details view. Two columns with an image on the left and text on the right. FullRowSelect is set to true. All works fine except that in the selected item the image is not visible. It's replaced by a white background. I need the image to be visible within the selected ListViewItem's blue background. Do I need to switch to OwnerDraw or is there another way to keep the image visible?

I'm trying to use listview control in vb.net or vb2008 express edition to display records from my database after it is being queried.I have two column headers in my listview control which are named Account# and Authorized Users. I was able to display the records from the database into the listview control but i don't know how to arrange it in a proper column where it should be displayed cause what happen is all records are being combined in one column which other records should be aligned to the other column.What I want is to display the account numbers in aligned with the Account# column header and the names should be aligned in Authorized Users column header. I am trying to make a listview custom control based on the standard listview control that will allow me to drag a column header outside the standard listview control and drop it on a panel. I plan to use the drop event to determine which column I should group by view on.
View 2 Repliesi have a simple photo viewer application where i want the user to click a "load sequence" button and then i want something like a folderbroswerdialog to appear then the user can pick a folder with images in it then the images get loaded into the picturebox and the user can click a "forward" button to go to the next image in the sequence and a "backward" button to go to the previous image in the sequence, it's kinda like windows 7 photo viewer.

The control should be similar to Listview in detail mode, in that it lets me show numerous rows, each row with multiple columns. However, I want it editable in place... that is, the user can (if I let him) click on a column and change what is stored there.
The next thing I need to do is set a graphic in one column, text in another, a playback controller in a third, and a trackbar control in the fourth. Every row will look like that.
The final thing I need to do is be able to control how a row is painted... either the entire line or by putting a graphic image (like a button) in a column when it is not being edited.
Barring all of that, I can put all the controls I need into a single user control, then I need some listview-like control that will allow me to add that control to it.. and have it be operational.

I have 5 columns and the rows are not dependent on each other. I just want to add items to each column. How can I do this? For example, I want to do:

etc
But it's not letting me do this?

I have 3 forms, one frmMain - main form, second is frmUserType- childform, and the last frmCreateUserType. In the main form I have a menu item to open my frmUserType, In this form I have a button to open another form which is my frmCreateUserType, In this form I have a button to add records then update the listview in frmUserType. The problem is the listview will not access with my add button control in frmCreateUserType. I tried not to used mdiparent declaration for my frmMain and frmUserType as children and it works, so meaning that the problem is showing my frmUserType as childform?I am using vb.net 2008

I'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.

I created Dataentry forms. In the form there are so many controls like DropDowns and textboxes. I am using Access database. Now I enterd the few records into the controls, and these records are saved into the Database. But now if i enter the any data which i recently saved in the database to the textbox or any other control then the remaining controls should be display the related data.
For example i have 4 controls in my form one is dropdown and 3 are textboxes. If i select the data in the dropdown then the remaining 3 textboxes shows the related data. How can i dispaly the corresponding data to the other controls?
file that requires images as part of technical explanations, so I have a form that opens that contains only a webbrowser control. I have designed my html document that views correctly in IE9 (images and all) and imported that as a resource. I then set that resource as the DocumentText of the webbrowser control. However, when the form opens the text is fine but no images - just placeholders! I am not trying to do anything fancy - the webbrowser control doesn't navigate away from the displayed doc at all and being distributed i don't really want to have to distribute the images seperately (hence using resource)

In front of this will sit a second control (such as a second PictureBox of the same dimensions). The topmost PictureBox will be drawn to in its Paint event.
I need to draw very few elements, and the bottom control is updated much more frequently than I need for this drawing. So these elements are drawn to the topmost control. Think of a news broadcast, where they have live video in the background, with a news channel logo, news ticker, and sometimes gradient visible in front.

The 'Opacity' property in the code above is a sort of "scaling factor." The image drawn to the top control may, in different parts of the image, have any alpha value from full transparent to a full 255. However, right now, i need to create 4 buttons to simulate the diagonal position of the image.Right now, the accelerometer can move the image in 4 directions (mainly left, right , Up, Down).The 4 buttons mention, is in diagonal position( 45 degree Leftup, 45 degree Leftdown, 45 degreeRightu, 45 degree RightUp, 45 degree RightDown).I need to do it the way in which when my image is moved using the accelerometer, and once when i hit any of the 4 buttons, the image move accordingly. And when i use the accelerometer again to simulate, it also move.[code]

The proxy in internet explorer is authenticated. Using urldownloadfile will faile with error. It works without proxy.Anotehr is to copy the image to clipboard. That method is not reliable when user switch to another.
