VS 2010 Associate A Listview Control With An Imageview Control To Display Images?
Feb 15, 2010I have been able to associate a listview control with an imageview control to display images. There are a couple of things, I would like to do.
1> How do I display the image in the second column? 2> How do I increase the size of the image getting displayed? My images are all 48 x 48 (pixels), but they keep shrinking.

Listview Control - Disappearing Images
Feb 2, 2012With .Net 3.5 / VB 2008 / WinXP...I'm using a Listview control in Details view. Two columns with an image on the left and text on the right. FullRowSelect is set to true. All works fine except that in the selected item the image is not visible. It's replaced by a white background. I need the image to be visible within the selected ListViewItem's blue background. Do I need to switch to OwnerDraw or is there another way to keep the image visible?

Using urldownloadfile will faile with error. It works without proxy.Anotehr is to copy the image to clipboard. That method is not reliable when user switch to another.

Jul 28, 2010I would like to restrict what they see in the file upload dialog, which is set to "All Files" by default. I understand how to validate that they only uploaded a certain file type, that is not the question here. I would just like to know how to default the file type in the file selection dialog.
Is there any way to change this to "PNG only" or "*.png"?
This is using AsyncFileUpload in the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit.

How To Populate Listview Control With Contents Of .DAT File
May 19, 2012I've got 1 form that has the user enter 7 fields of data.When they click my "Save" button those values are stored in a .DAT file.On that first form there is a button that brings up a second form with a listview control.I have all the headers set up but can't figure out how to populate the listview control with the contents of the .DAT file.A friend of mine told me I may need a Do while loop but this is my first time doing this and I am so lost. I don't even know where that loop would go and whether or not I need extra variable for it.

I create the columns

This seems to generate alternating stop signs and green lights in the first column. Instead, I want to be able to decide which one goes on each row on the fly, as well as change them later.

Jan 16, 2012I have a couple of images in a imagelist1. I'd like to display images in listview1 control. Once the image is selected it should display in a picturebox1. I should be able to navigate through (next/previous) pictures and I should also be able to delete pictures.

Feb 22, 2009I want to add images to listview and the code below should work in theory but it is not working. What should happen is when I select an Image from the openfiledialog it should then show in the listview box with the image plus it's filename underneath it. What happens is when I put 'Openfiledialog.showdialog' in the open button code underneath all the rest of the code and run my program.... it opens twice and only shows the file path but no image with it in the listview box. When I take that line out and press open..... it crashes and highlights any line with '(strFilename)' and says the error "not in legal form".
Here is the code for adding pictures to listview which is placed in the 'form_load' function

So I used the Send Message method which gave rise to another problem. Now when I click or move my mouse over(hot tracking enabled) any image the image becomes invisible. ListView Rowheight Varies - Using ListView Control, With SmallIcons Style ?
Mar 15, 2012I'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.

Statements like:

.. ListViewX.Columns.Item(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Items(0).SubItems(2).ToString
Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.
How can i get the column-name and cell-contents of the (3rd) column of the re-arranged table?

I am able to use a picture box in conjunction to view the pics one at a time. Oct 12, 2011file that requires images as part of technical explanations, so I have a form that opens that contains only a webbrowser control. I have designed my html document that views correctly in IE9 (images and all) and imported that as a resource. I then set that resource as the DocumentText of the webbrowser control. However, when the form opens the text is fine but no images - just placeholders! I am not trying to do anything fancy - the webbrowser control doesn't navigate away from the displayed doc at all and being distributed i don't really want to have to distribute the images seperately (hence using resource)

However, right now, i need to create 4 buttons to simulate the diagonal position of the image.Right now, the accelerometer can move the image in 4 directions (mainly left, right , Up, Down).The 4 buttons mention, is in diagonal position( 45 degree Leftup, 45 degree Leftdown, 45 degreeRightu, 45 degree RightUp, 45 degree RightDown).I need to do it the way in which when my image is moved using the accelerometer, and once when i hit any of the 4 buttons, the image move accordingly.
