Logic To Display Excel Background Shade Using Asp.net And EPPlus?

I have an asp.net application that is exporting data to excel. I need to shade the cells in the excel file.I would like the 1st row to have a darkgray background. The second row to have a light graybackground and the 3rd row to be regular white. Then loop (darkgray, lightgray, white etc).
Currently, using EPPlus, this is my code:

I am loading data into excel from datatable using LoadFromDataTable method then changed cell format to integer still it is showing error "The number in this cell is formatted as text or preceded by apostrophe". cell was showing to right side only and number format only on cell property.still I am not understanding why I am getting this error??.

I am using EPPlus 3.0 (codeplex latest library) library for download excel file. Everything working fine but some columns showing with "_x00D_" string on data. I researched in google, everybody saying it is newline character. I tried all scenarios still doesn't work.

the logic of this has gotten the best of me. In my scheduling app the user creates schedules for 6 groups(RNAM, RNPM, NTechAm, NTechPM, WCAM, WCPM). The user can then preview each schedule in a DGV on a separate form. After previewing all 6 schedules they then export them one at a time to excel. I want to do after the first schedule is done, is keep the workbook open and add a new worksheet for each remaining group(total of 6 worksheets).

Should I do away with checking if the file exists and just create the workbook and keep it open and then add all 6 worksheets by exporting them 1 at a time.

I have a DGV which is part of an inventory system. I have several columns but the ones i need to resolve are Quantity, Name and Plural Name. essentially if quantity is 1 i need to display the Name data if greater than one the plural data. Is this possible? would i need to resolve this earlier in the process (the data is extracted from an xml file using LINQ to bind it to a rowObject) or can i do this with the completed dataset, say by hiding the Name and Plural Name colums and creating a custom column? ideally i would like to keep the data untouched.

I'm using EPPlus 2.9.0.1 with Visual Basic.I have a DataTable with 35 Rows and 4 Columns and the code below:[code]When method 'LoadFromDataTable' is called, I get an ArgumentException (Negative row and Columns numbers are not allowed). I don't have negative numbers in row or column numbers, as far I know.

I have a project that has a need to display a Excel file in second window, but because other controls are needed, simply launching excel is not sufficient. Right now I do not know if the target machines have excel installed but I know with certainty that if they do it would be 2010, is there any method or library that allows you frame your own form around an excel window?

I am building an ordering system for my job. The idea is that the customer will put in a stage name for an item. That stage name is then interpreted by the program.The product id and the amount the customer wants to order is placed in a list box on the form. There are a couple of buttons, ADD, REMOVE, CLEAR, and EXPORT. The user input is handled by input boxes. When the user pushes the EXPORT button, excel should open and list out the interpreted product codes with the corresponding amount to order. I can get excel to open, but I can not get excel to display more than one line. It will display the first product, but then it comes up with an unhandled exception.I can not figure out how to get excel to return down a row and display the next product within the list box.

So I've got this Excel sheet of employees which have all the information about them. I'm trying to import this info into AD, but in order to do that I need to get the username for these users as well. And I would like vba code or vb.net code that basically takes the value of every row in column D and looks for it in AD and returns the username and adds it to column A. Would something like this be possible?

I am trying to interface with excel in a vb.net windows app I am writting. Basically it imports csv files to a data table, adds some additional data from with a oledb datasource, creates a view to sort the data before pushing back in to a datatable and spitting it out to a listview. The list view then allows you to further filter and sort the data (or will do shortly but thats not an issue).From the data in the list there are then 2 options, it will either create individual reports for managers in a excel sheet, which it colour bands based on a total field and then emails out to the managers. This works fine.
The other feature is that it produces a summary report that goes to a central email account. Again it creates an excel workbook, adds 4 work sheets, copies all the data to a master sheet (sheet1), it then starts at the bottom of the master worksheet andcopies the total values from the total row for each employee and copies this value in to the next blank column. (This is basically used so I can determine based on the 3 score bandings which sheet each line should go on. The lines for an employee are madeup of individual leave lines and total line that has the summation of the individual lines for them).

I'm developing app in VB.NET 2008.
I have one prob that i'm creating excel sheet runtime, loading data and printing excel sheet through my application. Actually it has 150 sheets to print.
i'm printing by using this code
xla.Sheets.PrintOut(Copies:=1, Collate:=True)
To print 150 sheets , its taking around 17 min. so now the user is waiting until printing process finish(ie 17 min ) .
actually i don't want to make him wait, i want to execute this printing process in backgroud. so the user can work on other process in my app.
how to print this in background ?

I am using several instances of a panel object I am creating.I would like to be able to draw a diagonal line from the upper right to the lower left corner of some of the instances.I have been able to create the panel with a background image that has a white line on a transparent background, and I can switch it on and off, but I would like the line to have the active text color.How can I make an image object that uses the system palette?

So I have this project where I have to convert a web browser control to a RTB and the xml/html to rtf database scripts, no real issue there until I did my proof of concept which showed the loss of formatting.
Searching all over for a good html to rtf converter showed little promise and most do a worse job then copy/paste.
Anyone have any links or code for converting a table's cell background to rtf?

I've been trying to make an image viewer that keeps top most while I do other things (like typing, etc), so I don't have to hop windows, or sacrifice screen real estate.I made a main form, and a configuration form (opened by pressing o), with options to set the main form's opacity (working), the picture displayed (as the form's backgound picture, not working), and if the main form stays top most or not (working).
Instead, the form just keeps displaying the image I set in the IDE.I first used a picture box to display the picture, which did not work, and decided I didnt need to have a picture box if I set the picture as the form's background picture.I tried looking at what could be going wrong, but couldnt find out much more than the path is being delivered to the main form.I'm working on Vista Home Premium 32bit SP2, VS2003, and here's the code.PS The code links to a D:ath-fin.jpg that I used as the default background picture, and the code is for 2 seperate forms.

I have a spreadsheet that contains details of change requests; one row per request. This information needs to be copied into a Word form for sending off to our customer who then completes the response section. To speed up this process I have written some code that utilises the mail merge feature of Word and merges the relevant info from the spreadsheet into a Word form. This runs from Excel when a button is pressed.The problem comes when I go to save the workbook and exit Excel; it stays running in the background as a process in task manager.

I'm fairly sure it has something to do with the merge code itself but my knowledge of VB is enough to grasp what is happening but not why it is happening. If I open the Word doc that has the merge fields in it, then open the spreadsheet that houses the info Excel says the workbook is already open.

I'm using a background worker to in an Excel VSTO application to throw up a progress dialog box with a status bar and a cancel button to escape from long running calculations. It's working really well, except for one issue. I'd like to use a Modal Dialog, so that the UI behind the dialog gets locked up, instead of a Modeless Dialog. If I use .ShowDialog() instead of .Show(), everything is great until you hit the Cancel button on the form. Following things in the debugger, the cancellation happens, it just takes somewhere in range of 30 seconds. If I use .Show() on my form, then the cancellation occurs immediately as it should.

I have a an idea of how a background worker works but I was hoping someone could give me some advice. If I run a background worker, and in the Do work if I run some coding which edits a file, and in the RunWorkerCompleted I display a label to say "Done". Will the label only say done once the coding for editing the file has completed OR do i need to put this code inside a process or something similar? and the label will only say done once it says process. close?
