I've always wanted to make a drawing program like Sketchup or AutoCAD, obviously just a lot simpler. I want to make this a long term project to be able to render the objects with a shade so that they seem 3D. I think I have been putting of this project because I don't really know how to accomplish the task of defining a curved object like a curve or ball.

I have a list of objects, each object has a score attribute,The list of scores needs to be combined on the player ID to become a totaled score or series. My current thought process is to For Each through the list of individual games, and add the score attribute to a new list of scores with the same objects. So one list would be like:
clsGame(ID Number, Sore)

ScoreList.Add(New clsGame(11, 244)
ScoreList.Add(New clsGame(11, 333)
ScoreList.Add(New clsGame(11, 444)
Then go through combining on like ID's to make a new list of games, that would actually be the series.

For each game as clsGame in ScoreList
'cycle through the list of series seeing if an ID matches, if so add the score onto that ID

Now I don't know how to add the player if its not in the seiries list without doing a heck of a lot more for each statements. If I add it after the end if then it will be added even if it is in the list..I tried playing around with List.Contains method, but I could only see if it contaned the exact same values i.e
SeiresList.Contains(game)
and because the scores are different (series vs single game) it wouldn't match, and I don't know how to see if it contains an object with just one of the attributes the same...
I made an object that has several properties one of which is an integer.
I put all the objects into a list, and I wish to sort that list by the integer property, with the object with the highest property at item 0, with the object with the lowest property at the highest item # ( count -1).
I made the list of that item, as in

Name is a parameter I'm passing to this subroutine from another one. When the application passes the first name, creates the pdf file fine, on the second name parameter fails to create the pfd file saying that Could not find a part of the path and it showing the path. I don't understand why is doing this.

I have an asp.net application that is exporting data to excel. I need to shade the cells in the excel file.I would like the 1st row to have a darkgray background. The second row to have a light graybackground and the 3rd row to be regular white. Then loop (darkgray, lightgray, white etc).

Base class has one field to hold numeric balance value. With 2 methods that accept arguments for adding and subtracting the new input calculating new balance. Sub class has four fields dates, transaction, memo and amount.I have a deposit form, and withdraw form. Each time one transaction is entered it creates an object with sub class fields, then adds to the account collection. My problem is not understanding how to call the deposit/withdraw method and pass the current transaction amount back to the base class to alculate the new balance. Does anyone have any links to information/tutorials on how to perform something like this? As you can see with my code I have tried various different approaches without any success.

I am somewhat new to object oriented programming and am attempting to flatten a Linq object hierarchy by using a shim class.how to initalize a derived class with property values from a base class?I have two objects, a base object with about 100 properties, and a derived object which inherits from the base object and adds a few additional properties beyond those of the base object. My simple constructor creates the derived object, but I am looking for a way to initialize the derived object properties with values from the base object.Right now I am using reflection to iterate over the properties individually and I suspect there may be a better way. For example, I might have a JumpEvent class that inherits EventBase, and this is being put into the EventBaseCollection. That means that value.GetType() returns the type of JumpEvent, which as you might guess does not equal the type of EventBase.The goal of course is to simply loop through all of the various events without having to know anything about the sub-classes. Is there a way to determine the type of the base class so that the OnValidate call will work? Or is this just the wrong way to go about it altogether?

Operators can check multiple accounts at one time using the web interface. I have some classes, BsfciFile and StudyFlashCard. Bsfci is the extension to which I save my set of flashcards in an INI format. I am currently working to transform my code from using Windows API calls to access the INI to using a IniFile class that I found on the internet. I would like the BsfciFile to have a Array of StudyFlashCard objects, but I would like the StudyFlashCard class to use the IniFile class object contained in the BsfciFile class. I can pass the IniFile from the BsfciFile class to the constructor for the StudyFlashCard class, but I want it to modify the same IniFile as the BsfciFile class has later on.

Notice the count for my two objects, Ohead, and oShell, is zero. Im not sure why this doesnt instantiate properly, as I believe is what is going on.
I am trying to create an object browser similar to what VS2010 uses for the quick watch window. I can use reflection to iterate through the properties and display their names and values until I get to the point in an object where the property is an object of my own creation and not a system type. I can't seem to find the correct approach to be able to iterate the properties of these "sub objects".

i've created bunch of classes. i have webservices which reference these classes and contains the classes as parameters and return objects.when i call the weservice, i have to convert the class to the webservice object else i can type conversion error.is there a generic way to convert between these types without having to assign the values by hand?
