I basically have it right now that when you click on any item in the listview it just shows the same image in the picturebox no matter which item it is. I have searched the web and this site but still am struggerling. My aim is to be able to draw dots (purpose is to highlight problems) and polygons over the plan (purpose to define which service area the floor area relates). My thinking is to place a second picture box over the first and make this transparent and use this as the user interface? I dont expect anyone to solve this for me, however, any help with how to draw dots and polygons through mouse down or mouse click would be most helpful.

whats the quickest and least application hogging way to retrieve image from web and show in picturebox on listview selection event?
Heres the code i have already which produces app lag for abut 3-5 seconds per image loaded, i think as it stretches the image to fit into picturebox (which is needed)

View 3 RepliesThis is for my really advanced game maker. Which is really working well. But when I went to remake the game player and speed it up, I quit painting the map on the form and the char. So my idea now is the make a picturebox on the form contain the map image and then make another picturebox on top of that one. Now the first pictreubox contrains controls the user created, very useful thats why I switched to a picturebox. And the second one contains the char,anyway, The one that contains the char needs to be able to show the controls behind it, or my game maker wont work. The char image its self is transparent but I need to make that picturebox show all the controls behind it so that if that picturebox moves onto a user control they can still see it beneath the char.

The initial image is Transparent, however, once you create another image very close to it, there is a "box" around it. That "box" is what I am trying to get rid of. I have no clue on how to get rid of it. Yes, I have made the image itself, transparent, as the initial image is transparent. Just any image that makes contact with the other images show the "box".
I have tried to realign the image by down and right one pixel, but still only part of the first row and column are visible when zoomed.I can't find exactly what I'm looking for online.
My computer is an HP-Pavillion dv9600 Notebook PC.
OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-bit

First, I launch a website in Internet Explorer from VB.net and automatically login the user with ther username and password. As soon as the username and password fields are automated, I send "enter" to the website so it goes to the next website. This part works perfectly. However, my problem is that i want to send a mouse click event, which i have already written, to click a hyperlink on the next website page. I tried a few different things, none of which worked. My program is automatically logging in the user and doing the mouse click event at the same time. I have tried to use the "sleep" command, but the mouse click event is still not executing after the second webpage loads. I have tried using nesting "If, then" statements and that has not worked either. Does anyone know how to make sure the webpage fully loads before executing a sendkeys routine or a mouse click event? This is my code thus far:

There are no errors, everything is just executing all at once instead of letting the second webpage load and then executing the mouse click event.
How Do I Make Button.click Event Perform both the enter and period(del) keys on the numeric keypad? [Code] Case Keys.Enter and Case Keys.Separator do not work. Nor does anything like Keys.OEMPeriod for the period(del) key. I've also tried calling the enter key in a KeyPress event etc. But to no avail. Any ideas? I'm trying to mimic Windows calc.exe for a school project and thought I'd try throwing in a few extras such as numeric keypad functionality.
View 1 RepliesI've read thru Iceplug's tutorial on control arrays and got it working. I tried to add a new event by basically copying his click event code and calling it a doubleclick event. I used the proper addhandler and assigned the correct name to my sub. I have the click event changing the background color to blue and the doubleclick event changing the background color to green. The background color does not change to green. Why?
