Aug 2, 2010

I am needing to take an image from my Picturebox and make it into a stream so I can send it to a website. In otherwords, I have an image in my picturebox, and I am trying to pass it along to a server without actually downloading it to my computer. I am trying to do this in a JPG format if possible as well.

Make An Image In A Picturebox Transparent

Feb 14, 2010

I'm trying to make an image in a picturebox transparent, so that i can see and click the controls behind it in the transparent area. This reason for this is that i'm trying to make a hexagonal grid that needs each cell to work independantly of each other when clicked, and needs to include a changing image. I'm trying to do this with pictureboxes, but even though i've made the GIF images i'm using transparent in photoshop, They aren't displayed as such in design view or at runtime, as the corners stay grey. I'm making a clone of the Quiz-show Blockbusters

How To Make GroupBox Show PictureBox Image Behind It

Mar 19, 2010

This is for my really advanced game maker. Which is really working well. But when I went to remake the game player and speed it up, I quit painting the map on the form and the char. So my idea now is the make a picturebox on the form contain the map image and then make another picturebox on top of that one. Now the first pictreubox contrains controls the user created, very useful thats why I switched to a picturebox. And the second one contains the char,anyway, The one that contains the char needs to be able to show the controls behind it, or my game maker wont work. The char image its self is transparent but I need to make that picturebox show all the controls behind it so that if that picturebox moves onto a user control they can still see it beneath the char.

VS 2010 PictureBox - How To Make Image Transparent

Oct 28, 2009

I'm having problems making an image properly "transparent"
Dim x As Integer
Dim y As Integer
Private Sub PictureBox1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles PictureBox1.Click
[Code] .....
The initial image is Transparent, however, once you create another image very close to it, there is a "box" around it. That "box" is what I am trying to get rid of. I have no clue on how to get rid of it. Yes, I have made the image itself, transparent, as the initial image is transparent. Just any image that makes contact with the other images show the "box".

Stream Pixel Data From An Image?

May 22, 2009

I am working on a program that alters very large images. The images are usually in .tif or .bmp format. I load up the old image, copy a section of it into a new image, then save the new image. So far everything works my problem is that the images that i have to alter are 900mb+. Using the simple Bitmap class is not working because the images are quite apparently too large to fit into memory that way. (throwing an OutOfMemory exception)I want to step over the part of loading the image, and turn it into streaming the pixels from the image straight from the disk. I kind of have an idea of how to get the stream open and start reading, but I have no idea what to do with the 32bit integers that are being returned. how to stream pixel data from an image?

Dim oldImage As Bitmap
Try
oldImage = New Bitmap(file)
Catch ex As Exception

PictureBox - Image: Select The Path To A Local Folder That Is Within The Application And Get An Image From It?

Sep 15, 2010

I have a Picturebox and a two Buttons on my Form. On click of one of the buttons I want to change the image in the picture box at runtime.

This works fine when I give the location of the image (the full path ) on my computer - but then of course it will not work if I use the solution on a different computer .

So I have made a folder named "Pics" inside my application and added two images into it.

How do I get to this local folder in the following code?

Picturebox1.image = system.drawing.image.fromfile (??? )
instead of the usual,
Picturebox1.image = system.drawing.image.fromfile ("C:UsersMyName My PicturesMyPicture.jpg" )

Make A Picturebox Follow Another Picturebox?

I cannot figure this one out. The code below is probably nothing like what I should be doing, but i cannot think of any other way to do what I want.

Stream Read Return Length 0 While Stream Is Open And Has Valid Data In It?

May 25, 2012

in an winForm app in VS2010 win 7 compiling to x86, I try to do what Alvas.Audio seems to work. See (c# ex: [URL] for reference.

Dim data() As Byte = wr.ReadData(second * i, second)

The result give me data.length()=0. I do not have any exception, I can read format from it and whatever reader I use I got this problem.EDIT : After some tests, it seems like the uncompressed file I create in the first step (in PCM format, with .wav extension) can not be recognized by the Alvas.audio library for the second step. I must miss something around Audio file markups or something alike.

Here is the code that might be the source (basically this is step 1):

Dim functOut As String = String.Empty
Dim wr As Alvas.Audio.IAudioReader = Nothing
Dim fs As IO.FileStream = Nothing

[code]....

How can I write the resulted stream to be sure I can read it again later?
