I have a array of pixels. And I would like to Quantize them.
For Example
FF00FF,00FFFF stuff like that, but most are custom colors and are not a standard 256 color palette. So I need code to convert a color to a 256 color. I dont have any idea on how to do this, but thats why I came here. I do not want to use System.Graphics.Image.Palette or anything like that as this project uses arrays for images. I would like to if at all possible be able to convert a R, G, B color to 8bit, 16bit, 256bit and possibly use the HSL or NeuQuant method or something close to that, or maybe even some other methods of doing it. I do need to be able to do this for a single pixel, but I will also need a method for a array of them.

I selected System->WindowFrame as my background color, but it always remains a dark grey, regardless of what I have my window color set to. How else would I achieve what I want? View 5 RepliesI like the new intellisense enhancements for finding members, however, there are 2 problems i have;
1) You can't resize the intellisense window when it pops up? This one is really annoying.
2) There seems to be a fixed font for the intellisense list? Why does it not match the rest of my code window like it used to? I've noticed the same with tooltips.
I am trying to list all the current threads that are running in my application. According to various posts, this can be simply done by selecting Debug -> Windows -> Threads however the threads window is not there. I am using Visual Basic Express .net 2010, am I doing something wrong, or is it not implemented in this version ?
If it is not implemented, is there a simple way to display all the threads that are running. I don't want lots details about them, just what they are ?
I have a dynamic gridview, about 35 rows by 11 columns. When the user hovers over a row, I highlight the row's background in green (with CSS:Hover). I would like to change the column's background as well, but I don't think I can assign css to a entire column. How can I accomplish this?

For example, I would like to have a client vb program be able to "read" the value some variable from that service. A simple example would be the service would capture a boolean value of the success or failure of the last time it kicked off a process. I added a combo box to my form and set the tab index in the properties window to be in sequence. The focus doesn't stop there upon tabbing through the form. What is wrong? I checked and rechecked my tab index.

I made a program that is started and running in memory and minimized to the system tray.
When it is first launched it registers global hot keys in windows.These hot keys are used for resizing the current focused window. I'm trying to use it so you can hotkey windows to resize to half the screen, a third of the screen, etc... For instance, if I have two notepads open and notepad 1 is focused and I hit Ctrl+Shift+LeftArrow it will resize notepad1 to the left and half the size of the screen. I have notepad 2 focused and Hit Ctrl+Shift+RightArrow and resize notepad2 to the right side of the screen. So, I can easily see both windows at once.Now, I can successfully get the focused window handle when the hot key is pressed. I'm stuck at this point.

is it possible that I create a program that allows you to open a file, then if you click the button labelled "Properties", it will open the properties window for the file selected. This is so that you won't have to go to the file, right-click it, then select Properties.
