I have made a borderless form, but i still wish to be able to drag it around the screen.
But i dont have a normal background, ive got an image that covers it. I wish to be able to drag this overlaying image around the screen. Ive found code examples that allow you to drag the form, but you have to acctually drag the form.... Not the image (i couldn't adapt any of them)
Normally you would move a program around by dragging the bar at the top of the window, agreed? How can you change a form in VB to move around when dragging anywhere on the form apart from a button?
I've been going at this for quite a few hours now and I still can't get it to work. I have a gif image in my bin>debug folder and I would like it to move across the screen when I click a button.[code]...
I am currently working on a project on Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition, in which I need to move an image across the form from one end to the other without moving it in a straight line. I want to try and randomize the image while it moves in a general direction, but I am not sure how. I also am trying to get four images to do this, from top to bottom, bottom up, left to right, and right to left.
If you drag something like a picture in explorer it displays its icon or thumbnail ,can this be achieved in vb.net? ,i have two forms ,form1 is a boarderless form with just a pic box ,now i can drag n drop this to another form with easy. but is thay away to display its thumbnail while dragging said picbox image?
I am trying to use a VScrollbar and a HScrollbar control on a form to move an image around inside a picture box. This does not involve autoscroll.I am having no problem with the small arrow buttons at the ends of the scrollbars (which generate small increment/decrement ScrollEventTypes) or with clicking on the scrollbars (which generates a largeincrement or largedecrement ScrollEventType). However when I drag the scroll bar back and forth, it does not generate any activity even when I release the scroll bar.How do I enable draging the scroll bar to produce a parallel movement of the image.[code]
related but minor problem is that the scroll event seems to be triggered twice, once when I click on the scroll bar and once after the click event. the first call does not generate any change to the image because the scrollbar value has not yet been changed so it is not a huge problem but seems an unecessary loop to me. Anyway to avoid both handling of the event (pick a different event that is only handled when the scrollbar value is changed?). Why is the scroll event handled twice per mouse click?
the user has the option of dragging several pictureboxes around the form. when he lets go of the mouse, the picturebox will take on a new position on the form.
i would like to implement the following:
on mouseup, if the picturebox position is within some amount maybe 50 or 100 (i dont know what units VB.net) uses, i would like it to be dropped exactly in a defined position. sort of like if you play checkers on yahoo games, you dont have to place the piece exactly on the square only approximately.
Been a while since i've bothered you gentlemen with my questions, but im back! So, I want to know, how I would be able to drag a picturebox around a form, liek a drag and drop functionality, but I dont want to move folders. Just move it around the form.
After maximizing a form, if I drag the title bar, the form moves out of position. This seems to be normal in windows, since IE does it also, but can I disable this? so the form stays fixed and unmovable?
if i add a panel1 how would i drag the form about by dragging the panel i have this code from VB6 and i have tried upgrading it in visual basic 2008 (that never seems to work :|)
Whenever I setup a database connection, and then drag items from it onto my forms, I get errors! 102 of them to be precise. All I've done is create a data connection, add the datasource, created relationships and then dragged items ome. I've been working with databases for a while and have never had this problem when taking these steps.
If I drag another Form/Program or maybe lets say a context menu happens to open over my custom Control, this happens. It does correct itself after causing a redraw, however it's quite annoying. Is there anyway to avoid this?
i want to work on a shooting game, and i already have a code for the rotation of the image but i have a few problemFirst problem(for the tank /ship): i want the image to AUTOMATICALLY rotate facing the mouse cursor,i know how to rotate but but i dont know how to convert the location of the mouse to an angle that the image will face,,
I'm trying to make a custom GUI and I made the title bar on MS paint and have it all setup all i need it the code snippit to make the window move when the image is draged to different places.
i have my main child form open. then i show the new form:
[Code]...
but when the form opens it flickers a lot. so i want move the new form behind the main form while it loads so the user does not see the flicker. once it is done loading i will set the form to topmost. how do i move the new form behind the main form?
I am working on splitter control in winform, I want to insert the image in the splitter and make the image location to stay at the same place in the splitter when I am moving them. When i am moving the splitter, the image will move around in winform which it is a messy.Public Class Form1
Private Sub Splitter1_SplitterMoved(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.SplitterEventArgs) Handles Splitter1.SplitterMoved PictureBox1.Left = Splitter1.Left + e.SplitX End Sub
In windows forms, you can easily change the ".left" value of a picturebox to move it. However, I have noticed that in VB2010 WPF, this is not the case..how to change an image control's .left (or equivalent) value in wpf?
i'm trying to move the picturebox's image Like a Map Viewer (Clicking on button < > ^ V) and the image moves, but i can't make it I want to move the image NOT THE PICTURE BOX
