Page Break On ReportViewer Make Extra Page When Printed?
Feb 22, 2012
I'm using Report Viewer(VS 2008) to make a report in VB.net. I add Table with Table Header, Table Detail, and Table Footer. Then insert a Table Group(table1_group1) and add expression =IntRowNumber Nothing-1/10 on that group. I check page breaks at end.
But when I click Print Layout Icon its show an extra page(page 3):
page 1 : page header+ table header + table detail(10 list data) + page footer
page 2 : page header+ table header + table detail(5 list data) + page footer
page 3 : page header + table footer + page footer ( this is the error)
I also try to print the report and its print 3 page.
How can I fill the page with empty table rows? For example; I have 2 records in the dataset but I want to the page with empty rows (draw the table borders until the end of page)
I am having a problem, my Printpreview is showing 2 pages, but only printing ONE.. Here is the code... PLEASE HELP.
Imports System.Drawing Private Sub ChooseTerm_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load Dim bk As New dbase("termabsent")
I am trying to print an image (from file) to a the printer using a PrintDocument.I am re-sizing my image so that it is scaled to be full page on the printout when I print this the image is cropped slightly.
EDIT 2:I am using the margins to calculate the area to use:
With printSettings.DefaultPageSettings Dim areaWidth As Single = .Bounds.Width - .Margins.Left - .Margins.Right Dim areaHeight As Single = .Bounds.Height - .Margins.Top - .Margins.Bottom End With
The bounds of the page are 1169x827 (A4) and with the margins it is 1137x795.After resize my image size is 1092x682 and I am using the following code to draw it:
The annoying thing is that when I print to the PrintPreviewDialog it is scaled perfectly but when I print the exact same code to the actual printer it does not fit.
EDIT 3:Full code can be found at this url Usage:
Dim clsPrint As New clsPrinting With clsPrint .Landscape = True
I have a reportviewer that prints a second empty page with the header only nothing in the body.I have searched for this issue and I learned that the Width of the report body should be equal to the page width minus the right and left Margins.
Using your RichTextBoxPrintCtrl class, is there a way to set a Page Break? Could code be added that if a certain string of characters were detected, A Page Break would be sent by the class?
I'm printing a multi page document with PrintDocument() and I need to be able to force a page break from within my code. I've tried adding vbFormFeed at the appropriate spot but it's ignored.
Is there any way to embed something into my page buffer so that it will force a page break?
I'm writing code for an output using streamwriter. The output is to a .doc file. Is there any way to programmatically add a page break? I've googled it and haven't found anything useful yet.
I have some code to write lines to the printer, if required it should force a page break. Here it should print "1"-"51" on page 1, then "52" - "55" and "The End" on page 2.Instead it prints the second page on top of the first page. How do I get the page break?
Private Sub PrintDocument1_PrintPage(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Drawing.Printing.PrintPageEventArgs) Handles PrintDocument1.PrintPage Dim i As Short
In my master page init sub I have a block of data/text being written to a control. The basic idea was that it should be available on every page (obviously). However, I have come across a situation in which I need this to NOT happen on a certain page. Is there anything I can do, short of making a new master page for this specific page, to make this work? I also use a basepage, if that ever needs to come into play.
I assign title value of page using VB.NET as page.title = "a" but when I run the page and look in page view source i found it shows like <title> a </title>Problem is that i want to remove all the spaces between title tag and it show like this <title>a</title>
I have an rdlc report that always produces the last page in blank. In this page, the header and the footer are printed but no data is shown (all data finishes in the previous page). I already checked and re-checked the horizontal and vertical printable areas and all the report definitions fit into these areas (if not, a blank page will be produced in between each page, I guess). If the report has one page, two pages are printed, if there are ten pages with data, eleven pages are printed
I wrote a page Page method in my aspx page. in web service method I need to call FindControl method return textbox and get text box value. But my findControl will take MasterPage object to iterate.

I have a vb .net program that exports information to certain fields of an excel workbook using named ranges. One of the named ranges is a notes section that gets cut off (not visible nor gets printed) if it extends beyond a page break. I am looking for a way to dynamically create new named ranges to accommodate all of the notes' text.[code]....
I have basic text report (.txt) that is created by a custom application. My client would like it to page break at a certain spot.
Does anyone have a routine that would allow me to insert PCL code into the file so that when printed it page breaks? I'd search for certain text and then insert the codes just prior to the text.
Certainly if someone has a better "mousetrap" then let me know.
I want to achieve the same thing as highlighted in attached file, so called seperator or page break, but i'm unable to find this control in VS 2005, how to get this control?
I'm using Visual Studio 2005 and writing in VB.NET.I have a subreport in a Crystal Reports report consisting of a list of log entries. Sometimes the list of log entries is long enough that it would extend onto the next page. What I see happening is that the list appears on the next page, leaving a big blank space at the bottom of the first page.
I've tried unchecking the "Keep Together" boxes in the "Experts" in a number of different places (sections, groups, etc.) but see no change in the output.I'm guessing that this isn't the right way to go, but do you know what is?
I am trying to build a report from vb.net, and here is
Dim oWord As Word.Application Dim oDoc As Word.Document Dim oTable As Word.Table
[Code].....
The problem is, if the data in the for each loop extends to next page, I want the entire data in for loop to move to next page. I think of adding a page count integer and verify it with starting and ending to determine and change the page. The problem is I dont know how to insert a page break at a specified line number. page break is Word.WdBreakType.wdPageBreak but how to insert it at a line number?
I've been working on a report and it has 2 subreports, one of them can outgrow the region destinated for it (on a preprinted paper), and I want to break the subreport on a new page of the main report (with page header and page footer).
I am writing a report to an excel template and am trying to insert a page break into the report. Part of my code is included:
Imports msWE = Microsoft.Office.Interop
Dim Rnge As msWE.Excel.Range = excelApp.Range("A20:M20") Dim excelApp As New msWE.Excel.ApplicationClass
excelApp.Worksheets.HPageBreaks.Add(Rnge)
Now the pagebreak code executes but it does nothing. Its almost as if it is being ignored. Also I have heard that using Microsoft.Office.Interop is not a good idea as it is slow and unstable.
I have a master page which contains everything that inherits it within a form. A page inheriting from it needs to run some javascript to act on a text field on a page. However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.
i am new to this. i have 4 pages. login.aspx, account.aspx, settings.aspx and fliers.aspx. its all programmed in vb.net with sql server backend.on my firstr page, login.aspx i have this code in the .vb page -

Does anyone know why a Page_Load would be called twice on a page when requesting an aspx page?I am using .Net 2.0 with the new .net 1.1 compilation model installed. Whenever I request a page, the Page_Load on the aspx page appears to be called twice, so does the Page_Load on and user controls added to that page.
