Page Header Of An Excel Spreadsheet - Using Header Text As Tab Name

I'm using the following code to populate a DataGridView with a worksheet. This is working fine, however, I'm unsure how I can get the Text from the page header. (not to be confused with the column header). Later in my code when I am exporting into an existing workbook with a new worksheet, I'm wanting to use the header text as the tab name. The header text being "September 2009" so that when I import/manipulate/export october, the new tab will be "October 2009" etc. [Code]

I'm exporting an ASP.NET gridview to Excel using the following function. The formatting is working really well, except I need to freeze the header row in Excel on the export. I'm really trying to avoid using a 3rd party Excel plugin for this, but unless there's some archaic excel markup in my AddExcelStyling function.[code]

I am trying to add Page.Header.Controls.Add(New LiteralControl("<link href='../CSS/test.css' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' />"))
in vb code. Strangely the solution builds but when i run my code i get 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' error.i have searched extensively on internet but couldn't see what's going wrong. Solution builds alright but it errors out while running on same line of code.

I have a very complex multi-page form I am developing in the Crystal Reports which is included in VS2008. There is always 1 Page A. There may be 1 or more page B. There may be 1 or more Page C. Page A has 7 subreports and a header from the main table. Pages B and C hold overflow records that won't fit on Page A.
Page(s) B holds 1 subreport and a header from the main table. Page(s) C holds 3 subreports and a header from the main table.
My problem is the page header on pages B and C does not print except on the first page B or C and I need it to print at the top of each one. (There could be many) Pages B and C are currently subreports but evidently that doesn't work. I have to format the report this way, it's a gov't form. Does anyone know how to get a subreport (which is actually a working report) and which can grow past a single page, to display a page header at the top of each new page?

I have htmltable which dynamically generated. I want to print this table. which consist lot of pages. when I used window.print() its printing into 7, 8 pages. but my problem is I need Header and footer on each page (A4 size). how can Set header and footer to each page.I am using asp.net with C#.I put header and footer on .aspx page but problem is that data is binding dynamic when I print then print goes multiple pages (ie 4 or 5 pages depend on data). So header come on first page and footer on last page I need header and footer on each page

I am currently working with a gridviews in asp.net(vb). I have it where I am able to pass information from gridview1 to gridview2 on the next page. However, what I need to do now is pass a variable from a column in gridview2 to the header of that page. i.e. in Gridview2 we have a column and all results are the same, the column header is StoreName and all the data for column is Sears. I know how to make the entire column invisible, but at the top of the page I need a sentence that looks like this:
Store Information for Sears
I am having trouble with what the code would look like for that line, all the thing I have tried have resulting in using a variable before it is declared. I need this line to be dynamic as the results will not always be for Sears.

Whenever I try and browse to a page with the 'TestHeader', IE opens up and goes to the page.... However, if I navigate to the same page without the additional header, it loads up fine in my webbrowser control.

Looking at deleting columns in excel and have found several threads that show how to delete an entire column which I have tested and done successfully. These columns were all identified by "A", "B", "C" and so on...
I was wondering if it was possible to do the same thing using the column headers. When deleting the columns in excel, one has to keep in mind that columns deleted from the left will shift the entire sheet to the left and if one is not careful, the next column[code]...
Let's say a user wants to delete the 'Middle' column (assume as column B in excel) and then delete the 'Suffix' column (assums as column D in excel). If they don't know to work from right to left when deleting columns, they would write code that would delete Column B and then repeat that code for Column D. However, once column B is deleted, all columns will shift left, which will result in the 'Phone' column (formerly column E now column D) being deleted instead of the 'Suffix' column (formerly column D now column C).
If there was a way to delete the columns by their headers (i.e. Middle, Suffix...) this would eliminate the problem; to me it seems a bit more intuitive as well.

I have this code that will import the excel sheet to the datatable then inserts it in the database, but I have this problem.I have set the HDR to yes so that the first row will be considered as its header, but the problem now is that if the first row is null, the datatable will automatically named it's header as f1,f2 and so on. how can I set the header as null if the first row is null? so I can validate it afterwards

Some of the columns contain date information, which are read in fine (usually as a string "2/20/2011" or so), but the headers of those columns are read in as a blank "". The headers for all the other columns read in fine, but not for the date containing columns.

I am using RDLC and i want to add dynamic text in header as well as in footer and some images in to the header but i cant understand how to add it in same rdlc. i can add static text in header as well as footer and when i add dynamic text in header it will be displayed in the first page only(after saving report in PDF format) but i cant get same text in next continuing pages

Does anyone know a trick to angle the header of a datagrid at like 45 degrees? The data is short numeric, but the headers are long text. I'd like to duplicate the feature like in excel to angle the text header. BTW, i'm using VB 2008 Express.

I have a windows application with many forms. We use the DataGridView control on most of the forms, but on a new form that I designed I have four DataGridViews. All of the DataGridViews on this form do not dipaly the Column Header Text when the form is displayed when running in the IDE. I do not receive any errors or messages. The other DataGridVeiws on other forms display their column header text just fine. I am at a loss as to why this is happining on this form.
UPDATE: If I add the desired text to the column.HeaderText property at the end of the form load event it displays the column header text. For example AssignedAmountColumn.HeaderText = "Amount" it displays Amount in the column when run from the IDE.... However it dosn't display when the property is set though the Columns property at design time.
