.net - Markup Page With A Bunch Of Checkboxes?

In my classic asp app, I have a markup page with a bunch of checkboxes. The checkbox control ID is bscv.Once a user checks a box and clicks submit, the value is processed on the next page called next.asp.Based on the value of the checked box, I display the correct dropdown.I use the following code on next.asp to display the correct dropdown.

If bsvc = "master" Then
' only master was checked
' "If the user checks only master checkbox, ...txtmaster with 2 options... is displayed."
%>

Looping Through CheckBoxes To Get Values To Send To Another Page

Aug 10, 2011

I'm trying to loop through a bunch of checkboxes I have created on my aspx page. I would like to get all the values, and parse them to a string to send to another page as post variables. This is what i have so far:

aspx page:
<div class="ReportsCustomBox"><asp:CheckBox ID="CheckBox0" runat="server" /> Name</div>
<div class="ReportsCustomBox"><asp:CheckBox ID="CheckBox1" runat="server" /> Training Year</div>
<div class="ReportsCustomBox"><asp:CheckBox ID="CheckBox2" runat="server" /> Continuity Clinic</div>
etc...

aspx.vb file:
Protected Sub Submit_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles Submit.Click
Dim targetURL As String
targetURL = "report.aspx?"
' This is the part i can't figure out.
' For Each checkbox on page
'if checkbox is checked
'targetURL &= checkboxid & "=true&"
End Sub

My goal is to build another page that will then check these values using Querystring variable, and build a listview out of them. (a report page, that basically lets the user select checkboxes of the columns they want to see on the report).

Printing Full Page - Margins Off At Top Left

Feb 7, 2009

I am trying to print a full page of lines, labels, and variables to match a physical form that I have. When I go to print the form, everything is moved down and to the right. I have tried to set the margins to 0 and have also tried OrginsAtMargins but neither have corrected the problem. So basically, I am trying to get the margins to be set at 0 so I can use the whole 8.5x11 (minus a little on the sides; about .25 of a inch) to print. What is weird is the print preview is fine but when it prints it's down and the right. So getting it so it prints how it does in print preview would be great. [URL].

Dynamically Output Checkboxes To Aspx Page In Program?

Feb 10, 2010

I have 50 checkboxes that I need to write onto an aspx page. Each checkbox comes with 3 textboxes.[code]...

Now this shall go for all 50 states, depending on which states the person wishes to donate. In each state's row shall be a checkbox. So initially the page shall have value 0.00 in donation and new donation checkboxes, but all 50 states shall be visible. When the person puts a value of donation in certain state, that state shall get "checked" value and the donation, after submitting. On reloading, the value shall be populated automatically and checkbox checked automatically.

How do I make these 50 checkboxes in VB.NET?

Asp.net - Using Javascript On An Aspx Page That Uses A Master Page - Which Contains The Page In A Form?

Aug 7, 2009

I have a master page which contains everything that inherits it within a form. A page inheriting from it needs to run some javascript to act on a text field on a page. However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.

Page Events In Master Page And Content Page

May 11, 2011

The thing is i have a Master page and a Content Page. I have a LoadComplete in Content Page and a PreRender in Master Page. The problem is one of my htmlcontrols on content page i change on the LoadComplete event server side of the content page. I also have some code for disabling controls on the Master Page PreRender event. For some reason all controls on the aspx side go through the Master Page prerender except the ones that i change on the LoadComplete side. How can i make sure the entire content page loads and then the Master Page PreRender event is called, making all the controls go through that event.

Asp.net - Enable/disable Web Elements Of A Parent Aspx Page From The Child Ascx Page?

Jul 20, 2009

I have an aspx page with three web controls: one to control the List Users page, one to control the Edit Users page, and one to control the Add User page. I have discovered a method for accessing these elements, but it seems to be limited. Here is what I have done:

Protected Sub editUser(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewEditEventArgs)
'set selected user from gridview.

[Code].....

This works in most cases. However, I am unable to access the "enabled" attribute of these web controls. Why is this, and how might I access that attribute?

Disable Page Cache To Force Page Load With Browser Back Button

May 7, 2009

I have an asp.net website that is using update panels on the page that i cant get to reload from the server. I have this for the disable page cache on the master page.

'Response.Cache.SetExpires(DateTime.UtcNow.AddDays(-1))
'Response.Cache.SetValidUntilExpires(False)
'Response.Cache.SetRevalidation(HttpCacheRevalidation.AllCaches)
'Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache)
'Response.Cache.SetNoStore()

When I click the browser back button to go back to the page it says the page has expired. the other pages on my web site work and call the page load, the only solution i found but cant use is to wrp the whole page in an update panel, but i cant do this becuase i have a report viewer on the page that does not work with ajax.

Form With A Tab Control That Has 18 Pages - Click On A Tab It Opens The Page And Select A Textbox On That Page

Mar 8, 2009

I have a form with a Tab Control that has 18 pages. When I click on a tab it opens the page and select a textbox on that page (txtTextbox1. Select() ). This works for the first 8 pages but not for the remaining 10 pages. Although on these pages I can mouse click on the textbox, enter info, save then click my Add button that clears the textboxes and has the code (txtTextbox1. Select() ). The textbox is selected just fine. The code for all my pages is the same except for the tab name and the control names. The tab key will move the selection to the next textbox in order on all pages and the Enter key is coded to do the same. The first 8 pages have a total of 256 labels, buttons, list boxes, textboxes and checkboxes on them.

Javascript - Close Child Aspx Page If Gridview Index Is Changed On Parent Page?

Nov 17, 2011

I have a parent page and child page, both aspx. All is working, but now I would like to close child page, if user leaves child popup page and goes back to parent page and clicks on something else like page index of Gridview. I CANNOT close popup child page if user goes to another app, or some other location, I only want to close if something on parent page is changed.

I have the PageIndexChange Event set up for other purposes, I would just like to add some functionality, perhaps a script manager to close the child popup page if the Gridview index is changed, java or another way which ever works best.I think I might also need to check if the child page is even open.

.net - Find Exact ASP.NET Type Of Page From Inside A Master Page?

Jan 6, 2010

I'm trying to retrieve a custom Attribute set on a page's class from inside the MasterPage. Normally to do this I would need to reflect directly on the specific class, but inside the Master page it's always referred to as the Page type (the parent class). How do I determine the specific type of the Page property?

Here's an example of what I'm trying to do:
Dim attrs() As Object = Page.GetType().GetCustomAttributes(GetType(MyCustomAttribute), False)
For Each attr As MyCustomAttribute In attrs
' Do something '
Next

but it only ever returns the attributes attached to the actual Page class.

I'd rather not have to derive a new base type from Page if I can avoid it.

Here is how my class is defined (in the code-behind):<MyCustom()> _Partial Class PageClass Am I defining this in the wrong place?
