When setting the Page properties with the PageSetupDialog there was a "Printer..." button in the lower right corner to set the Printer setting also. But in the same app under win7 the button is gone.
I've set:
PageSetupDialog1.AllowPrinter = True
but to no avail. Also tried with Admin rights...nothing

I have a form that has around 4 txtboxes. Data is inserted into these boxes and then a "Save" Button is pressed. I have a GridView added to my form and want to view the entries. The issue I am having is that when I click the save button the data doesn't show up in the DataGridView until I close the application and then re open it.

In one part of the program we open the SelectNamesDialog (Adressbook) from Outlook (is separatly from the user startet) to choise one recipent from the list.
Under WinXp the Adressbook automaticly appears in the foreground. In w7 nothing happens. I try AppActivate and by the first call

View 1 RepliesI am noticing a discrepancy between a full path specified for a VBScript Shortcut IconLocation and the subsequent mangled result that only becomes noticeable when I wish to manually change the Shortcut's Icon. Somewhere after the oShortcut.save call, the mangling occurs.
The icon is always properly displayed on the Shortcut. However, programs that exist only in the 32-bit "C:Program Files (x86)" location result in an error message that states, "Windows can't find the file %ProgramFiles%<etc>." (where <etc> is the remainder of the path).
The Visual Basic Script as well as my Command Prompt both show %ProgramFiles% as "C:Program Files (x86)", yet the Shortcut/Windows Explorer dialog always interpret it as the 64-bit Program directory. This may indicate a low level flawed interaction, a contention of definitions.
Input/Output examples:
IN: Hard coded to the call to oShortcut.IconLocation = "<Full Path>,0"
OUT: The text shown in the error message after I click "Change Icon...".
These ONLY exist in "C:Program Files (x86)":
IN: C:Program Files (x86)AdobeReader 10.0ReaderAcroRd32.exe

Note the %SystemDrive% adds a further insane mangling of the 64-bit path. This one luckily seems to be a benign error for the moment. The errors are not even consistent. Has anyone at Microsoft ever heard of quality control?

The printed format is OK except that the positioning on the page. Changing the margins in the PageSetupDialog makes it worse.So I wrote the following code in the Form Load event to see what was going on -

EDIT: I know that I can use DebuggerDisplay, but unfortunately it is very limited. The class in reality is quite complex and I need to have the possibility to define a logic in what I show during debugging, if possible.
How do you make the image in a picturebox vanish when you change an option? I have tried a few different ways that i have seen but none have worked. I have it set so when i change an option in a listbox it will change the picture and data in other controls, however one option in the listbox has no data to fill in those controls and so gets left blank. However when i click on that option right now the images that were in the picturebox before get left behind until i click on another option that has a picture. So how do i remove the picture from the box?

View 8 Replieswhen people first run my program (as in the FIRST EVER time they run it), I want a window to popup (Form4). In this Form you have to locate a directory to a certain program (my program uses this program) and press OK, and then that will generate a .txt file with the directory to the program. (So that my program knows where that program is located.) Now, what I want it to do is when you open up the program, upon load (Form1), I want the program to check if that text file (directory.txt) exists. If it does and the path in the file is correct, the program will run fine. If the text file is missing and/or the directory doesn't exist, it will bring you back to Form4 (assuming that this is your first time running the program since the directory.txt file doesn't exist).
