Penny Converter - Displaying Proper Amount In Textbox

I am having a problem with a program I coded in VB for class. It is a program that asks for the user to enter an amount of pennies then it displays the amount of dollars, quarters, nickels, and pennies. The problem I am having is that its not displaying the proper amounts in the text boxes, for example:
141 pennies = 1 Dollar
1 Quarter
1 Dime
1 Penny
So when I enter that, or any other number like 350 for the pennies, it gives inaccurate data, I am assuming that it is something I did wrong with the Modulus operator.

i have a datagridview binded with the datatable via its datasource property....now i want to add the Amount column of the dgv and display the total amount in the textbox,if the amount is greater than a certain value then i want the cell to coloured red so i did this code and it worked great:

I'm making a console game that shows some data:
#: Item Name Item Slot Cost Item Price
in that order. The thing I want to do is to make it come out in nice even columns...but I can't seem to make it do that. It comes it out in nasty uneven rows that don't look attractive...
Basically, here's what it looks like now:
1. Sword Slots: 2 Price: $40
2. W. Stick Slots: 4 Price: $1
I want to get each column to line up nicely with the other (since I control the size name).

I am a student trying to create a program in VB that starts out with a penny pay for the first day, two pennies the second day, four pennies the third day etc. There is a drop down box that the user picks a day of the month. when you have a textbox and you save the contents to a file : My.Computer.FileSystem.WriteAllText(SaveFileDialog1.FileName, TextBox1.Text, False, System.Text.Encoding.ASCII) and you open the file in notepad, you will see instead of multiple lines one long line and where the vbNewLine should be, a small square symbol.
the simple reason is: even if you write a vbNewLine or vbCrLf to your textbox, it will be reduced to vbLf so when writing the textbox.text to a textfile it only writes the vbLf where you would like to have a vbCrLf
so all you have to do is replace the vbLf with vbNewLine :
My.Computer.FileSystem.WriteAllText(SaveFileDialog1.FileName, Replace(TextBox1.Text, vbLf, vbNewLine), False, System.Text.Encoding.ASCII)

My problem is My AmountDueBox.text keeps showing my SubTotalDecimal. I want it to Show My Amount Due decimal (SubTotal + TaxDue - TradeInDecimal). I have text boxes displaying the various elements of the total along the way and they are all right except the final amount due. TotalDecimal- TradeInDecimal.

I am using VB 2008 Express Edition. I made a little 3 form program to keep track of score while playing Gin. Now I'd like to make another score sheet application for a different card game with more people.I would like Form1 to have a textbox which the user may put a number in. Then on a button click that would take me to Form2 which would have the same amount of textboxes (name of player) as the user indicated on the first form.Eventually I'd like to build a UserControl (which would house the scoring for one player) and have Form3 populate with the same amount of UserControls as Form1.textbox indicates.

so if i say want to cruise 29 miles at 12 knts it gives me an awnser of 2 hours 24.6 mins instead of 2 hours 25. Although i do realise that 2 hrs 24.6 is technicaly right i was wondering if anyone here could help me with getting it into the correct format?

im trying to make a fast food program on which the user will input the amount that he has, then he will check on what he wants, by using check boxes. There are 7 different check boxes with 7 different amounts of money. I have the program somewhat finished (thanks for the people that helped me before) but theres still a couple of things that I still need to get finished but I dont know how to.I need to be able to get how much money the user has (this will be entered threw a text box, I think I accidentally messed this part up, because I cant get it to work right, (theres alreasy a permit amount of money in there and it needs to be what the user enters instead of the permit, 5.59, one) and this will be the maximum amount he can spend, then the user will check on the food he wants (and the program will add the sales tax also) then it will produce an answer saying if you have enough money or if you dont. But what im confused on is how do I get the users amount of money and make it the maximum mount he can spend and make sure it doesnt go over the amount that he has checked.[code]

I am having problems with creating this change problem. The idea is that the user puts the amount of money in the textbox and then in separate textboxes shows Dollars, Quarters, Dimes, Nickles and Pennies.
Example:
You Money: 12.54
Dollars: 12
Quarters: 2
Dimes: 0
Nickles: 0
Pennies: 4

Based off this VB code I'm getting everything to create correctly within my SQL database but instead of the Food_ID displaying in the txtfoodid it's popping up in a message box (I think it's because of the Try/Catch).

i was wondering if it possible to have a condition where lets say you have a column in the datatable called amount and a textbox acting as the filter called say maxamount to set it so the rowfilter when filtering the table will sum the number in the amount column until the number in maxamount is met, then stop and only return the rows where the total sum of the amount column is equal or less than the maxamount value, so i guess if the next row takes us over the maxamount it discards this row and returns the rows previous to it. is this possible using datagridview rowfilter or should i be loooking elsewhere to achieve this?

I have a table and I want to select a field in it and then display it in a text box
something like:
SELECT userName
FROM userTable
WHERE (userLogged = 'ON')
how can I display the selected username in a textbox?
BTW the userLogged indicates wether the user is logged in or not
if the user is logged in then the userLogged will be changed to "ON"
if the user is not logged in it will be "OFF"
I know it's not that practical but I'm still practicing.

What I am trying to do is create a rather generic file opening form.
I am creating a visual basic form to prepare a file to open. I want the user to select the open button, get the dialog to open the file, then I want the exact file path for the selected file (C://Users/text.txt) to be pasted into the the textbox immediately below the button. The textbox is also to allow the user to type the directory that they want to draw from. So he actual opening of the the file will commence once another button is pressed, once the directory has been decided upon via either the openfile dialog or by pasting the address.
how to reference the root directory of an application. I want to the openfiledialog to the directory of the application.
