I have been trying to print multiple pages from a listbox. This is the code I have been trying to get to work. It prints the entire contents of listbox6, which is good but it only prints on one page and the text overlaps once it starts to print from the top of the page again.

All I need to do is print the entire contents of listbox6 whether it has 1 page of data or 19 pages of data.
Ive built a very small application for personal use only. Ive been working on it for around 2-3 weeks & have just finally completed it this morning.
Basically what I want to do is add a button to my form which will allow me to take the contents of the listbox and print it out or atleast be able to save it to a word document or something of that kind, I'm not entirely sure how I would go about doing this. Bare in mind, Ive only just stepped into VB around a month ago.. self learning myself via internet & several books I have at hand.
Found some code for printing documents, as I've never tried it before. My main focus is to print the content of a listbox to a sheet of paper. What I found uses a type of ListItem, which doesn't seem to be available for a Windows Form outside of web dev.
My attempt was to add all items to an array and then cycle throught the array to create a new line after every array entry. I think that portion is functioning as desired, but I'm not quite sure if I'm handling the print function correctly.

I don't get any errors and the printer spits out a page, but it's blank.
We have a rather large VB.NET accounting application that crashes occasionally for some customers. I have now been able to reproduce this particular almost 100% in my test nvironment using certain data. The crash happens when clicking a list box after printing a report. The form involved has a list box listing available reports. You select one or more reports from the list box and click the print button. After printing, if you click the list box again, the program crashes, with an exception that does not seem like one VB.NET should even be able to produce.The exception message is: "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."The call stack is:

View 2 RepliesI have created a Crystal Report for my Visual Basic Web Application, developing with Visual Studio 2008. I have created a DataSet for my web project, giving it all the field names I need to fill in the report. I wrote code that obtains necessary data from a database and fills in an instance of this DataSet, then I push the dataset into the Crystal Report and display it. It displays fine, and the data is in place as expected. However, when I click on the "print" icon on the report page, and answer "yes" to the dialog box that asks me how many pages I want to print, it displays a page saying "The report you requested requires more information" and displaying four text fields, labelled ServerName, Database Name, UserName, and Password. It also displays the name of my dataset, as though it expects me to "log into" my dataset.

I am creating a program with multiple Forms designed to track multiple projects.The first form is designed to setup new projects and obtain previous projects, from there the other forms open to be filled in with information.For new projects the next forms open blank but I then need these later forms to be tied to this project name so that it can be selected from a combobox and the information will be already populated.tieing the information on the later forms to the projects populated in the combobox so that it appears when a specific project is selected.Is this able to be done without creating databases?
As an example, say I create a new project then a new form opens and I add some information to a textbox.I would then like to be able to save the information so that the project name moves to the combobox on the first form (I can handle this) and the information input in to the textbox is tied to the project name so that when the program is reopened and the project name is selected the second form opens with the textbox populated.

The application should be able to store at least 10 motor class objects in an array, create an input form in the application that allow users to input new motor records to be added to the array and create another form that displays all the motors in the array in a list box. This is what I got so far, I know its not much, but whats really puzzling me is how am I suppose to show all the data in the listbox in the second form.

I have a total of 4 forms, the first three of which have information that is totaled on each of those three forms respectively .I'm trying to figure out the best way to set up a final page where each total amount from the first 3 forms will end up on the 4th form so that the sum of the totals from the first 3 forms will add up, and then so I can add 7% on for taxes on this project.I am using both radio buttons and check boxes for the first three forms (and I'm not certain if this would be an important factor).I had been looking at creating a listbox, but I'm not sure if it would be possibly to get the previous totals to show up correctly there, so I suppose I'm just looking for a way to have the "products" from the first three froms show up in a list along with their prices, and then be able to add on the tax and total them all together.

For example a user selects an artist from the treeview control and it displays all the albums by that artist in the datagridview. Once a user selects an album all information for that album is displayed below the datagridview in either a listbox or listview control. I've tried dragging the conrols from the datasource and it' won't drag onto the listbox. What do I need to do to get it so that it will display album, artist and track information?

Also i am using Crystal Reports for Report solution. my question is How do i created reports such a way that they can be printed in faster Ascii Format on any DotMatrix printer. The default true type fonts make printing very slower.
I tried to use "Draft 10 cpi" font which come to available me after i installed a correct driver for my Epson printer. which also helped me overcome this problem. however it wont be the scenario with all my clients i.e. they might have different printers having different Make with different drivers installed. i have tried to open such project on there PC but the printing wont come in Draft instead the fonts get expanded too much & the print wont come right.
I basically have an application that generates reports in a .html file, I use a .html file for the ease of making tables and formatting text.Now I would like to introduce a way of printing the reports from my program. Because I use a .html file, the formatting would not the correct if I was to print it directly from my application (as far as I know). View 1 RepliesI'm creating an application which has an scheduler to print and it checks if there is a pending job on the print queue before it prints the next file. I use a timer which checks if there is any file to be printed on my database. Example, the timer ticks and selected 10 files to be printed, it should print the 10 files 1 at a time, if there's no print queue, that's the only time the next file should print. I think another timer is required which will keeps on checking if print queue is done. How will i do this?
