The websites in the code wont be clickable, they are usually listed on a forum. The end of the link above can be diferent, so im not sure how you could find the end point. No assumptions can be made as to the code that will be after the link, as every website is different. The link then needs to listed in a listbox for further processing.

Oct 5, 2011I already know the basic procedure of how to read specific cells of an .xls file using VB.NET but I can't figure out how to automatically get all the data from such a file.Basically, I'm obtaining the data like this:

In this case, I know that there will be content in the first 10 rows of the columns A, B and C but what would I have to do if I had a huge document whose size and content might even change from time to time? I know that there is also an attribute ws.rows.count but this always returns a big value like 60000 even if only a few rows are occupied.So basically, I'm looking for a simple way to loop through all the used rows of an Excel file with the possibility of accessing each cell in that row.

I need to implement a continuous http stream which uses the same GET request but the connection stays open, from what I understand. how would I change my existing code to do this?

I found this code below that does it but you must select the position of the field (column 0, 1, 2 etc) myData.GetString(1) instead of the name of the field. In the php code above it is "title". I'm looking for a command like myData.GetString("title")

Aug 18, 2011I am trying to create a console application that allows me to read the contents of a text file and saving the data by specific name in a set of files. For example, the text file I am going to read is a tab delimited file. Some content of the file includes full name, school, location, and whatnot. I want to save the content by school name in a set of files that have the school names. In this case, everyone that attends "Central" will be saved in a file named Central.txt.Everyone that attends "Central Park" will be saved in a file named Central Park.txt.These are the sub procedures I came up with so far:

Mar 15, 2011I have an instance where I have a logo image as part of some artwork..If a user uploads a new logo I have a form field which is larger than the default logo.I then use that form field to position the new image.
The problem is I need to set the background colour of that form field to white so that it covers the old logo in the event that the new image is smaller than the old logo..

The problem with this is that the background colour of the field is set to white and the image then doesn't appear.. i remove the SetFieldProperty and RegenerateField commands and the image replacement works fine.is there a way to set a stacking order on layers?

Mar 25, 2009I need to convert fdf files to pdf in asp.net using vb. I found some code that I'm trying to learn from. What I would like to do is upload the fdf file and then output a pdf to a directory and email it out. The fdf files are coming from a shared linux/php host (using the php fdf functions is all I can do here on this host) that are emailed to a central inbox. I'm going to pick up the files from the inbox and upload them to a win/asp.net box to convert to pdf.The code i found is below.

Nov 18, 2011I am trying to export gridview (HTML Based) to a pdf in asp.net+vb.net (backend). When I click on the Export to PDF button the download window shows, but when you click on open Adobe reader will open but displays the message
" Adobe Reader Could not open 'test[1].pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ( for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded) ".
The coding for export to pdf is same for 5 different reports of which 4 are working fine, as well as export to Excel is also working fine for all 5 reports. Does it have any relation with the itextsharp dll version? (I am using itextsharp version 3.1.1.0)
