I need to record all the sound that is made from a flash swf in vb.net. I don't mind how I do it but I don't want to record all the sound from the whole computer through the sound card I only want the sound from my program. Doing it through a webbrowser control with the swf embedded in a html page is fine or just recording all the sound from my form.
I am looking into recording sound from a microphone using vb.net into a wav or mp3 file. I've Googled loads but only found 3rd party controls and C# code, which looks too sticky to convert..[url]...
I found this article on the code project which uses WaveIn and WaveOut but this looks unconvertible.... and I would like to avoid using DirectX SDK because the installation files are large and I wouldn't like users to have to do that.
i know how to record the sound coming from my mic using MCISendString~ Is there a way to record the sound from the speakers? Like if my computer beeps i hear a beep on the recording? Or if i play music?
I need a way of recording any sound that is played through the computer so say if the user was open up windows media player and play a song then he could click record on my application and it would capture whatever is being played. After that there would also need to be a save button so the can click save and the user can save the file as a .wav or .mp3 or whatever!
How can I make a program to record sound from the microphone? I've tried lots of thing but they don't work. Can someone show me how to do ths using winmm.dll or DIrectx?
Is there a way that I can record sound, and save it in the program so that it can be replayed?I'm making an alarm clock program, and I thought it would be cool if the user could record his/her own audio, and have it play back for him/her.
I have a problem with my program, and it's really bad because I need to burn it to disk within 12 hours and I can't get it to work: If I create a record, add information to it and click on Next Record, the ID, Status and Notes boxes content will change but the rest of the controls contents are carried over to the next record and I don't know why or how. It was working perfectly but now it stopped and I never done anything.
I have created a project that has an add a new record, edit record and a search form, that has multiple text, combo boxes and is working great.Last nite I have added a checkbox under my add new record form and i am saving the checkbox value to my database, so far so good. I would like to be able to search any record that is mark with a checkbox to show up in my search screen when I do a search: [code] The problem that i am having is that now that I have added the code to my project to search for the checkbox field in the search screen and if I leave everything blank and click on the the search button I get no record found. I expected to see all that data, since I have nothing selected. Now if I click my checkbox, as soon as I click on my search button I see that two records that I have added for my test.
I have 2 apps and i want to controll their sound levels externally. Ex. 1 app is sound player and another one is GPS soft. I need to detect that GPS sends sound bits to audio card and at that moment reduce the sound level of audio player application. I would assume that could be done through winAPI but im not 100% sure.
I was just wondering if anyone knows of any free Open Source software wich demonstrates multitrack recording support? I was thinking of something in the lines of this: [URL] I want to include multitrack support in my own software, for personal use and I don't even know where to start to be able to do that. So preferrably a control or something would have been great. I could also be able to pay for something like this, as long as I'd be able to include it in my own VB.NET solution. Edit: What's with the vote down? I was just wondering if there are any components I can buy and download to use in my own project..
I have a question about of capture sound function, someone have a code example for visual basic 2010 in windows 7?, I tried using mcisendstring function but the sound quality, is poor.
I have background sound loop with the My.Computer.Audio and it works fine. I want to play another sound (like a beep) when desired without stopping the background sound. Several examples I have found don't seem to work. I am in VB.NET 2008 Professional.
i am trying to develop a program which will:to beging with, allow a user to use the left and right arrow keys to control the panning of a particular sound on loop. the actual panning dosent have to be programmed i could just instruct the program to play out the corresponding pre recorded panned sound?once achieved i hope to then develop the program to test a users ability to pan one sound to match a stationary sound at a given angle. i will need to record the time taken to achieve this, the number of key presses made and how accurate their answer was.i am using visual studio 2005 to build my program?

I'm creating an application that will have 3 streams of audio. I can get 2 streams playing easy enough using DirectX AudioVideoPlayback and setting the balance for each Audio Instance. However, I need a 3rd Audio instance to play out of another output such as the Rear or Centre. An alternative would be to be able to select a different sound device in the machine to play the 3rd audio stream.
I looked I came accross this code My.Computer.Audio.Play(My.Resources.LAVE, AudioPlayMode. Background) LAVE is my resource file that I have added LAVE.mp3 the problem is that the program automatically gives runtime error when I run it but I get no syntax erros.
I need to get the decibel level of sound being sent to the sound card (not the actual sound level the speakers are instructed to emit via volume level)There is next to no information i can find on the net to even access sound data. Could anyone point me in a direction for this? The OS will be vista/7.

I've tried a few alternative libs such as DirectShow.Net, DirectSound, BASS.Net, QuickTime and OpenTK.Some of them do what I need to do, but they are either too difficult to use and therefore impractical or they are missing some other essential features such as Events which are required to make the rest of the application work. Would anyone oppose to me posting this same thread on other forums?I will of course post a solution if one is found elsewhere without advertising external websites.
When I put the command in the form_keyDown event that if I pressed the Ctrl+s, run the some instruction, when the focus in the one textbox control, run one beep sound Simultaneously with the instruction.
I am leaning VB and have created a basic inventory app for work that consist of 4 tables, CurrentInventory, Surplus, Staff and Category. Each of these tables have a corresponding form. My question is with the CurrentInventory and Surplus form/tables. I want a button on the CurrentInventory Form that when clicked the current record would be transferred to the Surplus table and deleted from the CurrentInventory table.I am assuming that I could somehow use the INSERT command to copy the current record to the surplus table but I am not sure how to accomplish this.
I wonder how to put a sound clip in my vb.net form.I am using vb 2008.When a user starts my program, I want the sound to be played automatically and with a mute button.
I am trying to build a small program which will allow some one to click on the exit button and the sound will play and at the end of the sound the program will then close. The sound clip is about 3 seconds long Here is what I have:
Imports Microsoft.DirectX Imports Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound Public Class Form1 Private Dsound As CSoundDevice
Is there a way to generate a pure tone (e.g. 440 Hz) for a specified period of time through the sound card without using having to find or make a separate .wav file for each tone.I tried using the "Beep" function, but while it produces the tone for a specified period, it sounds broken up into a (probably 500ms) time frame which repeats with an audible space between the repetitions.
I hav a web service which pull records from a database and I am hosting these services in IIS which works fine but I am trying to retrieve the record and display the record in a listbox displaying the time field as the text for that record.I have created the following function
