VS 2010 Record Sound And Save It In Program So That It Can Be Replayed?
Dec 7, 2011
Is there a way that I can record sound, and save it in the program so that it can be replayed?I'm making an alarm clock program, and I thought it would be cool if the user could record his/her own audio, and have it play back for him/her.
How can I make a program to record sound from the microphone? I've tried lots of thing but they don't work. Can someone show me how to do ths using winmm.dll or DIrectx?
I am trying to build a small program which will allow some one to click on the exit button and the sound will play and at the end of the sound the program will then close. The sound clip is about 3 seconds long Here is what I have:
Imports Microsoft.DirectX Imports Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound Public Class Form1 Private Dsound As CSoundDevice
im making a techno progam in visual basic 2008 and after 3 hour im think how to save the sound they make and catshing a sound recorder but what the code im try to find on internet but find 0 pleas give me the code im try to find
I am attempting to create a program which saves customer information for a business e.g first name, last name, address etc. but i am having trouble coding the save , new, print, next/previous record buttons.
I'm creating an application that will have 3 streams of audio. I can get 2 streams playing easy enough using DirectX AudioVideoPlayback and setting the balance for each Audio Instance. However, I need a 3rd Audio instance to play out of another output such as the Rear or Centre. An alternative would be to be able to select a different sound device in the machine to play the 3rd audio stream.
I'm creating a program and i want it to secretly save when the user clicks on save.
In other words, i have made it so that it saves twice. Once for the user to read (like a fancy copy) and another that the program uses to open up the form.
Currently when pushed, 2 save dialog boxes come up after each other. I don't want this to happen. I want 1 to come up (the user friendly, fancy version) which is the easy part, but i also want the other 1 to save automatically and secretly without asking the user to set the destination.
I am looking into recording sound from a microphone using vb.net into a wav or mp3 file. I've Googled loads but only found 3rd party controls and C# code, which looks too sticky to convert..[url]...
I found this article on the code project which uses WaveIn and WaveOut but this looks unconvertible.... and I would like to avoid using DirectX SDK because the installation files are large and I wouldn't like users to have to do that.
i know how to record the sound coming from my mic using MCISendString~ Is there a way to record the sound from the speakers? Like if my computer beeps i hear a beep on the recording? Or if i play music?
I need to record all the sound that is made from a flash swf in vb.net. I don't mind how I do it but I don't want to record all the sound from the whole computer through the sound card I only want the sound from my program. Doing it through a webbrowser control with the swf embedded in a html page is fine or just recording all the sound from my form.
I need a way of recording any sound that is played through the computer so say if the user was open up windows media player and play a song then he could click record on my application and it would capture whatever is being played. After that there would also need to be a save button so the can click save and the user can save the file as a .wav or .mp3 or whatever!
How do I force users to save the current record (if current record has changed) and not let user go to the next record unless the save button is pressed?
This code i had use for create a field in DB Access 2003:
SQL = "ALTER TABLE plano_contas ADD declperiodica06A char(40) WITH COMPRESSION NULL)" Dim command1 As New OleDb.OleDbCommand(SQL, con1) con1.Open() command1.ExecuteNonQuery() con1.Close()
like you see the code create a Text field with 40 lenght...Well the problem is:When i save a new record the record it's save in this mode: "100......... .........................." - the points means spaces and should be:"100"After try a lot of things i'm without more solutions in find why this happen!
Is there a way one can edit sound, say for example you have an mp3 sound it is 12sec long, but you want to fit it into 10sec. is there a way one can write a code that automatically adjust the sound so that it only play faster and save it as mp3 again? I am not talking about existing programs to do it. rather a standalone app?
I created an application in which the user has to specify the number of rows and collumns. Once these are specified, a Table Layout Panel creates these number of cells with each cell having a button and a Text Box inside it. On the double click of a button, the user can change the background image of the button, specify the sound for it and similarly fill in the text box too. The sound specified should be played on single button click. Once done for all the cells, it would look something like this.[code]...
So here is where I'm at, I've built a program to organize my programs. I've got the tabs and all of that, everything on it works fine except I have one issue now. Every time I close the program then open it again, any files I've added into it have disappeared so I would have to constantly run this program and if i restart my computer I would have to re-insert the programs into it. I'll include what I have so far in the way of the coding. But I was wondering, how do I get it to remember what I've put into those ListView boxes?
Public Class Form1 ' Private Shortcuts As Dictionary(Of String, String) Dim c As Integer = 0
I made a simple code that changes the background color for my program and then save it. But for some reason, it will not work if the RGB code has 255 in it.
Public Class Form1 Dim R, G, B As Integer Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click R = TextBoxR.Text
vb Imports System.IO Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
[code]....
I would like to store some app data in a 'default system folder', so when I launch the program it will know where to look for it's own settings. As a matter of fact I only need to store there a path to the files used by the program. Users will be able to choose where to put them (simplified installation). The program has to know where to look for them.
Am I creating the folder properly? As you can see I'm referring to C:... The folder structure presented here comes from my laptop running on Windows 7 Ultimate. Maybe the C:... can be somehow defined by some sort of a system 'shortcut'. Following the above example the program would look for those in C:... , but maybe I can use something like ~~ default.app.settings.My Program Name ~~~. How does it work? Have no idea how to call it properly, but I'm sure you will know what I mean.
My system still show the "record has been added" and save/insert the data even if i chose the "no" button. I think I miss something on our codes. Should I add something?
Here's the scenario: If "Yes" (button) will be clicked, it'll save the data and clear the fields. If "no" (button), it'll clear the fields and shouldn't save anything.
Here are the codes:
Private Sub btnsave_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnsave.Click If newname.Text = "" Or newaddress.Text = "" Then MsgBox("Please fill-up all the requirements.", vbExclamation, "*** System") Else
I was wondering if it would be possible to monitor a programs audio output and identify when its on / off? I'm coding a carpc frontend and would like to mute the audio when the navigation program speaks directions.
I wrote a program to have countdown and at 00 to have sound horn. I got the clock running but the horn sound is delayed. I need the time at 00 to sound the horn. I use this in a game of basketball. How can I make the playsound at 00 seconds and not -01 second.
