Retrieve An IP Address In VB Application?

Im building a payment system in VB (2008) using Windows Forms (Applications). Im trying to find out how it is possible to get the IP address of my machine and display it to a text label. I did a bit of surfing and cant find a solution, i tried this code below, but doesnt like the word "Request", so i tried adding all the imports web, data, net, etc, but cant get it to work.

I'm trying to use the DHCP API (using the references on pinvoke.net) to retrieve a computer's MAC address when given the IP address but I can't get the code to work. I've run all the C# code on pinvoke.net through the C#-to-VB converter but I'm stuck now.
Here's what I have so far. The value of res is always 5 (should be 0). Thing is, I can't find any documentation on what the return codes mean

How can determine which is my primary Windows adapter? ie: Running the above gives me:

My address from my router (primary address) is 192.168.1.25, or also it would be Dns.GetHostAddress(Dns.GetHostName).GetValue(4) which is the 5th element in the array If I'm obtaining a users local IP address on various machines with various amounts of network adapters, my program will break. I must know the IP of the primary Windows Ethernet/Wireless adapter in use.

I am in need of a small application, that will allways be topmost and will send keystrokes to the last active application (typically notepad or an explorer window). My problem is retrieving the current active form (or application), when my application is started up. Every search seems to return old and rather complex solutions using Win32 library functions, but I was kinda hoping, that .Net allowed for a neater and more simple solution.I need a code example or link on how to retrieve the currently active application window from another application just starting up.

I am doing doing some network work and am working on an app that will ping the different IP's on the network at specific intervals and create a log for me. My issue is when I store an IP in application settings and try to use that setting, the pingwill not work properly. I have tried both with and without the quotations.

I havent used this application in a long time. But i remembered if you wanted to add a friend to AIM from their online profile it directed them to a link such as:

and AIM would pick this up and add it the contactID to the application. The link i posted is more than likely not the correct link they use but it shows what im trying to accomplish.

I am writing a simple Address Book Application using Typed Dataset & Bound Controls. 1<sup>st</sup> Form for Entering Addresses 2<sup>nd</sup> Form for Adding New 'CITY'. To select a city for address I am using a data bound combo box which shows a list of Cities.
While entering with a address if user found the required City Name is not found in the Combo list, he opens a 2<sup>nd</sup> Form to Add a City name to database & returns to Form1.

I need to retrieve the actual text of a message box from another application. When using WM_GETTEXT, the values returned are the title of the message box, and the text of the control button (in this case "OK").
My issue is that what I really need is the actual text message from the box itself. I've been researching this for days and can't find a way to do this. Nothing I have found so far tells me how to do this.
