Mar 18, 2010i made a vitual dekstop and i have a few problems that to be fixed. The first problem i have is that i have a picturebox as the entire form like the desktop background but the progrblem is that i have some group boxes over that picturebox box. How can i make so you can see throw the group box so that you can see the image behind it. And how can i save a picturebox image without a save file dialog

Apr 10, 2011im training on system.drawing.graphics and now, when i draw something on picturebox1, i want to save it, but picturebox1.image.save wont work... Here is the code for save:

I then can click and drag text from the listview box to any label on the form and then the program removes the value from the listview box. During the time a file is open or saved, the file open /save dialog becomes blurred by the background labels. Is there any way to prevent this? Jan 20, 2011so i have a quite huge program. but lets say i have one label. and i want to save that. i have the code and everything for saving the text of the label. now i want to assign ctrl+s to automatically save the labels text once pressed instead of going through a menu to choose save.this is like a regular texteditor where u press ctrl+s and it saves.

Mar 18, 2011I am new to VB and having an issue with Print Screen. I'm trying to take a screen shot, show it in a picBox and then save the image to a file. Eventually, I want to add a timer and have the webcam open on screen so that I can take a set of pictures and save them to the hard drive (a very simple "security" cam).What's happening is when I click on my "Start" button the screen shot always seems capture the last screen event (ie: if I move the dialog from left to right and click "Start" the dialog is still showing on left side of screen shot). Not sure what's going on with this. I tried variations to update (picBox.Refresh(), .Update(), and .Show()) without any change. It's as if two clicks are required to make a capture.Also, I'm trying to save the image that's been captured and can't seem to get that working.

Jun 2, 2011lets say I have a form (form1) with lables a-z which are all designed with default text "0". So they all show 0 on program startup. which is fine. I also have a dialog with 2 TextBoxes; I want my program to update the default text/value on (only)form1 labels x, y and z to whatever was put into the textboxes when i press the OK button on the Dialog, so these specified labels show the 'new' value on next startup. Is it even possible or should I save the values to a file which loads the values in the specified labels on startup?
