Jun 3, 2011I'm using MS ACCESS for my dbase..i have a tblborrow where you can find transac_num ..now, i have in my form a label which here, you can see how many transactions you have done already(i'll name it sa lbltransacno) and a save button..what i want now is that.. every time the user save a transaction.. the lbltransacno will automatically go to its next number.. but of course.. the user should fill up the information needed.. if those are not filled up, and he click the save button.. the transaction will not be counted.. how to code it?

However, what I would like to do, is have future lines of text to be written on the next line instead of the same line. And possibly a date stamp.
I'm not quite sure how to implement this as far as syntax goes.

System.Diagnostic.Process.Start(Path); When services run the exe is opened but the callback function is not running. I give a AfxMessagebox inside the exe file. In local it is executed.But when call from services it is not fired. The function is not executed.

3 textboxes

Mar 11, 2010I am attempting to write a playlist for my media player which is already built. I have found a way to build a playlist for it but it would be helpful if I could save the contents of TextBox1 to a text file without using the save as. I am trying to get over a user inputting a file name for the finished text file so is it possible to write the file c: est.txt without using the save as dialog? I have found that I can use a vbs program file which creates a playlist in a folder. I save the vbs file text to the textbox then save it as a vbs file in the playlist directory, then execute the finished file to make the playlist.

Mar 19, 2009My question is simple (the answer may not be...), What I am looking for is a way to save a file as an encrypted file (so know one can open it except in visual basic or a way to save it with a unique ending that only visual basic will recognize. I will also need to know of a way to open or load the file to.
This is going to be used in a game I am working on (and yes...I know visual basic isn't really meant for games, but it is coming together pretty well). I was originally going to have it save as a text file, but then everyone could open, read it and even change there stats. That is what this file will contain, the stats for their character, and when they load it, it will place the values into the correct spot.
I am a partial beginner or intermediate coder, I can understand code, I just don't know all there is, like saving and loading, and this is probably a little harder.
