Save Scores In A Label To A Database?

I'm making a Pong game and currently when the game ends the scores are show in a lable and a message box pops up saying which of the two players won.
However the problem i am having is i want it so that the player who won has their score saved to a database so i need to know how to get the score from the Lable to save to the database but then also have a way possibly a message box ? where the player can input the desired username. so the database would have two collums username and score where score is updated automaticaly and the username is entered by the player.

I am trying to design a highscore board that displays scores in order based on the label (after countdown timer) from another form.i want it to ask the player's name and automatically assign the name to the score and stay together even when being shifted (eg when a new score appears)currently i have designed a form to display in order, numbers typed into a text box.this is my coding so far

I have a form that I am loading text (strings) from a database into a label.text (so the text from the database shows up into the label) I have done this code in a class that keeps all my database stuff seperate.

How can I save what a label says after closing? I know i would have to use My.Settings but I dont know what "type" to use I want something like

I'm using MS ACCESS for my dbase..i have a tblborrow where you can find transac_num ..now, i have in my form a label which here, you can see how many transactions you have done already(i'll name it sa lbltransacno) and a save button..what i want now is that.. every time the user save a transaction.. the lbltransacno will automatically go to its next number.. but of course.. the user should fill up the information needed.. if those are not filled up, and he click the save button.. the transaction will not be counted.. how to code it?

I am completely new to VB ( and frustrated) and I need help with my code below What I am telling VB to do is to get the number in the txtScore, store it in an array ( no clue how to do this)Sum of all scores goes to the txtTotal. Ive created one database Sql Server Compact Edition 2005, with one table ("Cliente") I know that I can created my database good, but i have a problem saving information since three textbox, in my table(With columns "Nombre" "Apellido" "Cliente". In my form there is a button save ("Guardar"). When I do click in my button appear the next message : "The column cannot contain null values. [ Column name = Nombre,Table name = Cliente ] " and happen the same with apellido and Id_Cliente. And this happen becouse my code cant save the information....

Is it a must that i must get the live score from the xml feed like looping through the "nodes" to get what i want to display on vb.net form? is it more customizable with xml? 1. First off, how do I make my path to my database relative? The path is currently absolute and is: Data Source=J:/College/AS_DSFinalDatabase1.accdb
2. Second of all, where do I save my database in the project? I want it to be included in like project folders...kind of like the App_Data folder in ASP.Net.
3. I'm recieving an error whenever I try to populate more than 1 DataGridView upon form load for some reason...I've tried 5 different ways of writing the code, and I get the same error...there's no error description, so does anyone know what the issue is? Here's the error:

I dont quite understand why this wont work i was hoping someone could help, I have got a noughts and crosses game and its all finished appart from the checkdraw sub routine i forgott to write in, so I wrote it out as below:[code..]
Now ScoreX and ScoreO are two variables declaired at form level, I use a very simaler routine for CheckWin and that works a treat. My problem is that when a draw is detected the message box comes up ok but no scores are added to the label control.

I am trying to create a high scores board - currently i was experimenting with just typing a number into a textbox and having it automatically order the numbers (in labels) from largest to smallest however i cannot get them all to work. either just the first and second (label) works or the second and third display the same number or the second decreases in value even though it shouldn't[code]...

What I want it to do is sort the scores by greatest value to least value, but the problem I'm having is that the scores are stored as strings so they are being read and sorted from left to right. My question is, how do I store the scores in a numeric array and place them in the same row as the name, but in the second column? The names and scores only need to be stored as long as the program is running so I don't want to add anything to the registry or create new files to store them.

I need someone with patience and can go through a solution with me from the Clearly Visual Basic book. I'm good with computers and can usually learn things relatively fast on my own time and in my own way, but I'm going to school for computer programming and, with certain things, I learn better with things explained to me rather than reading from a book.
