I want the template to be saved separately from the user inputs. Once the user will input the words i want the whole thing to be saved to a .txt file.
Then i want the user to be able to read the file back to the application.
Is it possible to link a database .mdf file to a Label or to a TextBox.text or to any form control

I mean if I wrote textfile and click a button (to save text) and restard whole application can the text be saved somehow? Not to save whole program, one form is enough. So how this? That file doesnt need to be able to read by another program (like word, excel, etc). And again, the same vice verca. I also need a button which opens that saved file. (And now my english skills came to end)but this button click must also "place the values".For example if I have clicked checkboxs 1, 2 and 4 -> saved file -> opened -> it must show those checkboxes as checked. The same with everything else too (labels, numerics..)

I am busy with a Project that need to read and write txt files. I have found noumeorous tutorials on how to work with txt files, but none of them explain or or have an example how to do the following:
1) I want to have a button that, when it's clicked, it browse the PC in a specific location for a txt file, and open it in a TextBox1
2) I want to have a button that save text in a specific TextBox as a txt file, and you can name the txt file as you want?
I have text in a textbox that I want to write to a file. I'm trying to think of the best way to do this. Would reading the text into a buffer, then writing the buffer to a file be the best approach? I'm sure there's more than one way of doing this and I wanted to see if anyone had any input on the most efficient way.

This is the only way I know how to obtain the info I need for this equation but if generated again with no input from the textboxes I get an error. Is there anyway to bypass this if its generated a second time with no inputs?
Its a League Organizer, basicly ive started it off with 16 teams and end up with 1(winner) 16 box's on the far left, then 8, then 4, then 2, then 1. the 16 box's have "Team 1" "Team 2" etc... ive put a new/clear/open/save button in that order.
BUT this is my problem..when i save(Save Button) the text file saves all the text wrong it ends up like this...Team 1Team 2Team 3Team 4 Etc...
But i want it to save like this

Team 2
Team 3
Team 4
Etc...

I am attempting to write a playlist for my media player which is already built. I have found a way to build a playlist for it but it would be helpful if I could save the contents of TextBox1 to a text file without using the save as. I am trying to get over a user inputting a file name for the finished text file so is it possible to write the file c: est.txt without using the save as dialog? I have found that I can use a vbs program file which creates a playlist in a folder. I save the vbs file text to the textbox then save it as a vbs file in the playlist directory, then execute the finished file to make the playlist.

The idea is to used the textbox1_change event to find a match in column A of table and once it finds the record, return the value of column B as label1.text. [code] In VB 2008 it's a lot different. I have set up the form the same way with the textbox and labels. I have made a dataset with (1) table (Table1) with (2) columns. Lets call them column A and Column B.I have added the dataset as a binding source to the form and also a table adapter.
