I forgot VS 2008 I can add a textbox text to the listbox and save it to IO.File.AppendText (Application.StartupPath & "List.txt")but i cant get it to add with a openfiledialog , now the listbox allready hase text loaded in it , iam trying to add too it with openfiledialog

Here is the thing.I wanna make a file at the same time as I add it to Listbox.I prefere that the file has the same name as my first label, as there will be 3 more text feelds in that text file.

The files save fine, but when you go to save the file, if you hit the cancel button, it will overwrite the previous file you saved, because it's name was the same and it seems to save the previous file as the new name for your next file. Is there any way to catch if the user clicks cancel, and then exiting the sub if they did?

I mean if I wrote textfile and click a button (to save text) and restard whole application can the text be saved somehow? but now i need to load the text file into a text box from the listbox. one thing that confuses me is if a try to load the file from the list box, this code only shows the file names, no path, no extensions.
Program Overview: Quiz Show based on answering questions, with A,B,C,D choice answers. If the player answers correctly he moves up the ladder with prizes. I have text in a textbox that I want to write to a file. I'm trying to think of the best way to do this. Would reading the text into a buffer, then writing the buffer to a file be the best approach? View 4 RepliesIts a League Organizer, basicly ive started it off with 16 teams and end up with 1(winner) 16 box's on the far left, then 8, then 4, then 2, then 1. the 16 box's have "Team 1" "Team 2" etc... ive put a new/clear/open/save button in that order.
BUT this is my problem..when i save(Save Button) the text file saves all the text wrong it ends up like this...Team 1Team 2Team 3Team 4 Etc...
But i want it to save like this
Team 1
Team 2
Team 3
Team 4
Etc...

im trying to make a program in which if the textbox text and the listbox text are the same order, which they are in the picture, a bluie fonted text saying well done appears. However only the red text appears which is only meant to come when the order of the text in both listbox and textbox isnt the same.

I am attempting to write a playlist for my media player which is already built. I have found a way to build a playlist for it but it would be helpful if I could save the contents of TextBox1 to a text file without using the save as. I am trying to get over a user inputting a file name for the finished text file so is it possible to write the file c: est.txt without using the save as dialog? I have found that I can use a vbs program file which creates a playlist in a folder. I save the vbs file text to the textbox then save it as a vbs file in the playlist directory, then execute the finished file to make the playlist.
