I save data from datagridview to text file. I also load the same data from text file into datagridview for edit and update the same thing to text file. Let say this text file i called as Drill.txt. I have another text file called header.txt which need to match its value with the value of Drill.txt file then overwrite value from Drill.txt to header.txt. Now i want to make my Drill.txt in encrypted format to prevent anyone to open that file and modify out of program. They only can modify it through the program

I have two windows vb.net form. I got a text file. I am trying to encrypt some data and save it to a text file with the 1st windows vb.net 2005 form. Now with the second one am trying to decrypt the data and retrieve it here.

This is what i need my program to do...I have a form with 1 textbox and 2 buttons (save and load) If i type information into the textbox and then click save, i need it to encrypt the text first and then save the file to database If i click the load button i need it to decrypt the file and display the decrypted data into the textbox i just need a way to save my text files so the information inside them cant be changed without using my program but yet again i find myself at a loss as to how i do this.

I have 5 column in my unbound datagridview. after user enter all the values i want to save the content to the text file. I want to save one row as one line of text. Then if user open a gridview and enter dataon it then the new data should append with the previous data in text file. Is that posible to do. How can we do this

Its a League Organizer, basicly ive started it off with 16 teams and end up with 1(winner) 16 box's on the far left, then 8, then 4, then 2, then 1. the 16 box's have "Team 1" "Team 2" etc... ive put a new/clear/open/save button in that order.
BUT this is my problem..when i save(Save Button) the text file saves all the text wrong it ends up like this...Team 1Team 2Team 3Team 4 Etc...
But i want it to save like this
Team 1
Team 2
Team 3
Team 4
Etc...

I have a question because in my I.O.File. I use this to save the data in the listview in a c: est.txt but the problem is that it only save one data and every time I click the save the previous data that I save is deleted and it change the new one that I save. And also when I click the remove in the listview it will also delete the data that save in the c: est.txt and the format should like this

I am interested in knowing if non-text files like .xls/.xlsx or .doc files can be encrypted... From the Devlopers Guide on MSDN, I found code snippets that allow encryption / decryption of .txt files. This works absolutely fine. However, I would like to know if similar procedure can be used to encrypt/decrypt file other than .txt file.

This code can encryp the text file. But accrding to this code EncryptFile("c:\Drill Layer Header.txt", _ "c:\Drill Layer Header original1.txt", _ sSecretKey) It ask for input and output file. So it take data from Drill Layer Header then encrypt the save in drill layer header original.txt. I want it to take data from drill layer header and encrypt and save in same file.

I have a standard form that you can enter data into.I want to take that data that is entered, and save it to a text file once I click the submit button at the bottom of the form. I have a datagridview which have 5 columns. The name of the columns are T,C,F,S,H.
I have a text file which contain lines like this.
T240C3.175F012S27H2000
T239C0.95F034S55H1000
T236C1.2F029S48H2000
T234C1.6F029S48H2000
So i want to display this data in datagried view. I must display the number beside T to T column, the number beside C to C column and so on. It should only display number in the respective column. It should not display the T,C and so on.

I want to export data from a DataGridView to a CSV/text file. I then also want to be able to load that same CSV/text file and populate that same DataGridView at a later point in time. My information is loaded into columns in the DataGridView. That is, I am not using rows to represent records, I am using columns. I have been using this code, see below, to try and write data from the DataGridView to a text file. It works but it puts an extra comma after each line and thinks that there has been another line so puts an extra 4 commas on a new line. So the text file looks like this:
9,Here to There,1,15,
8,Hell to Heaven,16,34,
I'm looking for any help for a way to get rid of the extra commas or an entirely different way of doing this whole process.
