How I can set a Textbox or the report header title programmatically at runtime?

I have created custom paper Size "XPaperSize 15 x 12" in Printers - File - Sever Properties. In VB .net 2005 I am trying to set custom Paper Size for Crystal Report. My problem is when I run report from Vb .net, Crystal report viewer showing correct preview for custom paper size but when I give print command it's print default printer paper size e.g. Letter size.
Here's the code I'm using to print: Dim ObjCrReport as new ReportDocument ObjCrReport.SetDataSource(ObjPrintDataSet.Tables("PrintData")) SetReportPageSize("XPaperSize 15 x 12", 1) ' call Procedure for setting Custom Paper Size End Sub [Code] .....
If I used "myAppPrintOptions.PaperSize = PaperSize.PaperLegal" then print preview & Printing coming correct. Why it's printing Letter Size where Crystal preview showing custom paper size preview? & How to set Crystal Report Printer Paper Size?

I'm using the CrystalReportViewer control on a Visual Studio 2008 winform and can't figure out how to put a title on the report. I tried adding a report title control and can't set the text. I tried an unbound control also and am still stuck. [code]...
Am using a crystal reportviewer to generate my reports. Every time the report is loaded, the 'Main report' header is displayed; but, i don't want it displayed because it does not look smart.
I've read other posts that recommend using parameters when displaying dynamic data in the header because it renders correctly in pdf. I am trying to implement that solution but have run into an issue. It works when data is returned for a parameter, but it throws an error if data is not returned.[code]...
I'm trying to change a forms title at runtime where it = my textbox's text. But I can't even get it to change to "test". When I try to google it, it comes up with vb6's .caption = "test". When I try to search it on the forum, it gives me a error message saying: "Error 502 Bad gateway"
I am trying to set the "ColumnHeadersDefaultCellStyle" property to the "GoudyHvyface BT" font and it will not change from the default. I am using Visual Basic 2008.
I have set the property properly with no success.
I have tried to set the property in code, using the suggestions in the MSDN and it kept throwing errors.
I have ASP gridview bound to an Entity Data source which works no problem, however when I try to programmatically change a header columns text, it appears to break the styling and will not allow sorting either, below is how I am trapping and changing the Header row column text.
Protected Sub gv1_RowDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewRowEventArgs) Handles gv1.RowDataBound If e.Row.RowType = DataControlRowType.Header Then 'retrieve the values from the userdeftable e.Row.Cells(6).Text = App.Session.Company.UserDef3 End If End Sub
how to set header color for tabpages in WINFORMS. and also the back color.

I am sending an XML file via HTTP POST using Visual Basics 2005. The site this is being sent to requires a header containing the lenth of the file (I've got that part) and Authorization. The Aurthorization is to consist of Basic Authentication in the form of "Basic xxxx", where the xxxx = "username:password", base64 encoded. The username and password are provided by the site the information is going to, so they do not match the user's login to the operating system or application.
What is the best way to attach the authorization to the file being sent? Does it need to be encoded and then placed in the header, or is there something that will do it all in one step. I can't seem to find a way to do this as all the information I have found either uses the default username and password, or the authorization is not in the form that I am needing.
I have a report based on a query which requires the user to input the date range. I would like this date range to be a label in the report header. Which shows both the date and time an entry was made. For the previous reports I would run Yearly reports Display the Day ,month and year entered in a parameter query. At present I am trying to run a report for the period "Jan 1 2010 to Dec 31 2010" and would like a formula that would display "Jan 1 2010 to Dec 31 2010" in the report header.
i am new in vb.net i am designing small application and i am adding reports to it.problem is that 1) in header i text at end of text i need to add zone number from database. like: This is header text " zone number" zone number after header text from database or from a variable
I'm new to VS 2010 reports. I build an rdlc report based on a a table with 18 columns. From these colums, 3 of them allways have the same content so i would like to put them at the report header. When i do this i get a page for each single record, which is understandable. I worked with other tools that allow me to build report headers beased on SQL queries but it seems that VS does not allow such thing. Will be there any way to achieve what i want?
I am using the VB ReportViewer and report designer. I am not using the report wizard as I have had no success creating the report I want that way (I'm new to all this).
I have created a view holding all the columns I want to report on. Half the columns have values to be displayed in the body of the report in tabular form. The other half contain values on which I wish to group. Although there are several columns in this set, the values do not change except when the group value changes. Eg
Group col1 Group col2 Group col3
[Code]....
I cannot discover how to achieve this using the tools provided with the report designer.
I'm trying to set up an installer to register a web site. Currently, I've got it creating an Application Pool and Web Site under Windows Server 2003. Unfortunately, whenever I try to modify the ServerBindings property to set the IP Address, it throws an exception at me. I first tried this because the documentation here told me to [URL]. I'm currently using VB.NET, but C# answers are okay too as I need to switch it over to using C# anyway.
How to set parameters for report programmatically? The report is situated locally and the access to it is performed from an element ReportViewer in a form.
I am working on my media program which utilizes the amazon ecs web service. So far it does a search and pulls a list of image url's for the dvd covers.
Is what I want to do is take those image urls and somehow feed them into a datagridview, so that the user can scroll through the images and choose the right one.
Here's what I have so far
Code: If item.IsSetLargeImage() Then Dim largeImage As Image = item.LargeImage If largeImage.IsSetURL() Then
I have a panel with 5 labels and 5 listviews in it. By default they are hidden. At runtime I want only the ones shown that are needed. For example, if there are enough players for three tables then three tables should show up. I know how to make the controls visible, but not sure how to control how many are actually displayed. I also think I may have to do seperate loops and seperate the control types?
Private Sub Set_Tables() Dim tables As Long tables = Math.Ceiling(NumPlayers / NumPerTable)
I am programatically creating instance of usercontrol as shown below

I have two public properties in my usercontorl like clerkName and RespName. How can I set those values in the above code. Intellisense is not showing ClerkName and respName Properties.
I've created a report (not CR) in VB.net, and I'm able to view the report using a report viewer, however, I want to be able to export this report as a PDF file. How do I do that?
I am looking for a way to add an interface implementation to a class at runtime. Here is a sample code, which I will discuss below.
Public Interface IAction Sub DoThis(a As Integer) End Interface
[Code]....
This is related to WCF, where one needs to provide to CreateHost a single class, which implements all interfaces required for the end points. In this scenario, ActionDispatcher is such a class, and IAction is one of the many interfaces to be implemented.
My vision is to avoid implementing IAction in ActionDispatcher manually, but have some sort of registration mechanism, where I can say, that ActionDispatcher must implement interfaces IAction, IDoing, INoAction, etc - and have the dispatching methods generated for me.
MSDN says, that any class is compatible with any interface, so I don't need to declare "Implements" in the ActionDispatcher. But I still need to implement the interface and connect the implementing method to the interface definition, so WCF can find it when needed.
The closest thing I found is probably the Automatic Interface Implementer, but it (1) creates a new type, (2) adds dummy methods.
I has also tried to understand CodeCompileUnit class, but so far couldn't see the relation to what I need.
